In EVERYTHING Give Thanks - Pumpkin

Good Morning!
I have two projects to share with you.
I have a NEW Word Art Wednesday challenge project and
a matching card for a NEW Freshly Brewed Designs challenge.

This weeks WAW Anything Goes Challenge scripture is FREE for you!
*it always is*
You do not have to use it to create your project.
The challenges are always anything goes using family friendly
and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment.
This weeks WAW Sponsors: Daydream Designs  and Heart & Soul Rubber Stamp Co.

We also have a new Freshly Brewed Challenge!
This challenge is to create anything using COLORS OF FALL.
Simple enough right?

Here are my projects:

This was such a fun project to make. I actually cleaned out my craft room. We moved furniture around and I HAD to go through EVERYTHING!!! So I totally did SHOP MY STASH this week. I cut my scrap pile in half by setting a box aside for some friends to go through. The rest will go to a few little girls at dance. I taught a few girls how to make cards and they are hooked.

I cut out several circles using the plantin schoolbook cricut cartridge then cut out a large scalloped circle, leaves, and flourishes using the accent essentials cartridge. The image was paper pieced by printing the image onto patterned cardstock.
The image was cut out using a lacy circles spellbinder die.
I love the glitter!!! It is called  green agate by Martha Stewart. It is a very light, silvery green.
So pretty. I outlined the pumpkin using a glue pen an sprinkled glitter over it.
I used an old watercolor brush from the kids craft supplies to brush away the access glitter.
For the paper pumpkin, I traced the edges with aleens tacky glue and sprinkled the glitter over it.

I tried to get a photo of the crystal fine glitter on the edges of the pumpkins leaves and stem,
but it didn't work out too well for me ;)
Just know its there, lol!

Here is a photo of the top of the pumpkin
that features the free word art wednesday word art file:

And here is a close up of just the little card featuring our newest
digital stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs

Oh for the love of PUMPKINS!!!

Happy Wednesday!

I had a sudden boost of mojo and decided to trash my kitchen.
I didn't cook last night. It was our LONG day at dance.
We are there from 4-8 PM on Tuesdays.
I made subs. Yum!!!
SO - if anyone knows me I LOVE coffee and a CLEAN kitchen and living room...
and bathrooms... I keep coming back and adding to my list. HAHAHA!!!
I would prefer a clean house ... but that seems impossible.
I take that back. It is clean, but cluttered and clothes never seem to make it back
to their 'homes'. They like sitting on dressers or in laundry baskets. lol.
All of this leads to my kitchen. It is covered in little orange papers cut from the bottoms of
little orange circles used to create cute little paper pumpkins.
I went a little overboard. I could probably make 100 little pumpkins with all I cut out :D
They are just too cute and fun!
Not only are little bits (and still big bits) of paper covering a large area of my kitchen table,
but ink, stamps, glue, and black glitter are there too.
OH! and PUMPKINS! I have several different little pumpkins made.
Some stamped with spiders. Some just inked. Some tall. Some small. I love them all! :-)

Another thing you may have guessed is that I had too much coffee this morning.
I got up at 5 am to send my hubby to work, got the image I colored last night,
cut her out and planned my card.

I stopped by SCS and decided to use their sketch challenge for this week:

And here she is:

My card featuring
and some sweet paper pumpkins

OK, I am really loving my card. I had so much fun making this!
I haven't had time to get REALLY creative in my cards lately.
I have been too busy. I enjoyed coloring her, adding the doodle dots, choosing
papers that I would normally NEVER put together, adding RIBBON!
I haven'd added ribbon to my cards in forever! and a sweet little brad.
I may have to hoard this card for a while before I send it off ;) hehehe!!!
I know I sound crazy, but I did warn you that I made extra strong coffee this morning and
have had way too much. Or maybe I didn't warn you. I will have to go back and check.
I may have just warned you in my mind! ;) BWAHAHAH!!!

OK, off I go!
I do hope you will play along with us in our PUMPKIN PATCH challenge at
FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES. There are only 7 entries so far... and
that just isn't right! I know you are all using pumpkins ;)

****Now for some Fresh Brewed News****
We have TWO new digi releases coming up!

and

Hope to see you there!

Have a very happy and blessed day,

For my project I created a fun little altered clipboard.

This was just freehand drawn and painted. I masked off part of the board and spray painted it with chalkboard paint, then I masked off the outer edge and painted it white with plain ol' acrylic paints. The doodling was created using a black sharpie marker.

and last but not least is a card I created using the

The kids and I were playing around with watercolor paints the other day, and they started flicking it on their paper making patterns. I decided that would make a really cool bg paper for my little Owl digital stamp that was designed in the Fall of 2011.

It was fun flinging paint everywhere :))

I am giving away a prize pack of 5 owl digis to one lucky hop participant.

Now make sure to head over to Nana's Blog Next.

There's Java at the end of the Rainbow???

Good Morning!
It is Monday ... and finally started off feeling enough like spring here to open the windows ((58 degrees)).
((It was almost 90 degrees here by lunch time yesterday!)) I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to start the week ahead with a smile and of course your secret weapon....  coffee :). And I will be having seconds!!! hahahah!!!

I found this really fun challenge at Paper craft Planet for a 3d treat dispenser box card. SO FUN! yet so confusing! :) I loved it enough to make two. We will see the other in a bit :D .....
It was really fun to make, but a little confusing for a gal like me ... (not sure what that means)... but I was confused. For this card I chose to make it a double slider. The slider goes all of the way through the box ... so there are no guessing... just lots of space to fill LOL :D (this is a 5.5 x 6 size card)

Now back to the theme of my title for this post ... and how it came to be.  While on the computer yesterday morning I needed a java update and while I sat there watching the little green line feel and I become inpatient, the thought just came to me! HAHAHA!!! I literally do RUN ON JAVA!!!
((notice the first were taken when a cloud passed by..... these last when the sun came out. the first are more true to the real color ;) ))
Stamps for this card include:
Caution Contents are Hot Rubber Stamp
Latte Love Digital Stamp

Now on to my second treat dispenser card

This was my first... and I had to figure out the slider.... and had a mess... hahaha!!!! I was not able to follow the directions for that piece too well, many blonde moments followed by a MOM get me this or that, so I was also distracted. but I tried my best.... here goes....

 TASTE THE RAINBOW!!!
Don't you just love it?!?! :) hehehe!!! and now crave some skittles?!?!
My evil plan... to get you to drink lots of caffeine and eat sugar!
HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!!! :))

We are having a SALE this week at Fresh Brewed Designs!!!

Sale ends March 31

DIVAS HOP

Welcome to my entry for the Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop for the Design Divas facebook/blogging group.  If you are just getting to this fun and special hop, then please start at Sue's blog here.

We host a hop for our members the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  The theme is oldies but goodies and we to make a paper crafting project utilizing at least one item that we have not used in 6 months or more.

I wanted to start this post off by saying HAPPY SUMMER!
Summer??? you say. It just turned spring! Well, the weather is NOT spring like. We had spring weather over the winter. I just had to break out the summer fun to celebrate this super warm weather we have been having. Still not sure this is a GOOD thing. I worry about  our gardens, the hurricanes, how HOT our actual summer will be...
or will our summers be cold and fall come early ;) hahah!!!

My oldie but goodies on my card are... well... almost everything. I used my Cricut and the first ever cricut cart to create the frame and the sunshine. The waves are cut with a MFT die I purchased early last summer. The stamp is one of my own designs. It is a Fresh Brewed Designs summer 2011 release called Luau Party. She was colored up with my prismacolor markers in which many are well over a year or almost two old. Those markers have lasted me FOREVER!!! I know I have heard so many good things about Copics, but so far my prismas have been very good to me :D.

Your next hop stop for our DIVAS hop is the sweet Mary: Go HERE to see what she has created for you.

This card was also created for the NEWEST Freshly Brewed Challenge.
We are challenging you to use LOTS of DOTS!
Hope to see you there!
And remember, Kenzie is giving away a set of ProMarkers to one lucky winner!!!

Some SWEET Treats

Good Morning!
We at FBD are creating some fun Spooky but SWEET treats for your inspiration this week.
I found these sweet little bags at i {heart} papers and decided to get a few to make my little girl something special for a few of her friends at dance. I felt bad not taking one for all of the kids, but everyone did get a chocolate treat and I {think} they were happy with that. I plan to get more and make them (or something else) all something for Christmas :)

These treat holders were created using the clear treat bags and a bit of cardstock, glue and raffia. They were fun and easy to create and I think they turned out super cute! don't you?!?
Inside I added Candy Corn M&Ms which in my opinion tasted terrible! lol!!!
That was good, since my kids are allergic, I let them know quickly they were NOT missing out on anything.
:D.

This card features the FBD rubber stamp
She is holding a bowl of sweet treats :D
The papers for this card are by Bo Bunny Boo Crew. The EEEEEEK stamp is by Martha Stewart.
I added google eyes to the background paper and a little strip of orange glitter in her hair.

I hope you will get to stop by and check out our new challenge HERE and play along with us.
*friendly reminder*
All of the Halloween digital stamps and Cutie Pie rubber stamps are on sale until the end of October!
That means time is running out!
Hop on over to the store and check it out before you miss out!
Thank you for stopping by today!
I hope your day is a beautiful and blessed one!

always.....

OK, don't fall out of your seat. This does not feature a FBD image, lol!!!
I had a lot of fun making this project. During my daughters recital, a little girl (teenager rather) asked me if I would help her cut around the bottom of her pants / costume she was wearing for a performance. I was nervous to do that, but someone showed me how and I was able to get her ready so she felt safer to be dancing on stage. I scooped up some of the scraps and brought them home. I wanted to make my daughter's ballet teacher something to reflect her style and beauty. I thought these sequins would make it a little more special. I think she liked it :). She said she was going to hang it in her new (around 6 month old) baby girls room.

To create this project I used chipboard, paper from Cosmo Cricket DeLovely bought from the Scrapbook Cottage, butterfly wings stamp set by Hot off the Press, sentiment stamp set (always) by Autumn Leaves, hanging tag sentiments by Pixie Affirmations, glass beads, satin ribbon from walmart, prismacolor markers, and rhinestones by SEI.

ABC with FBD

hehehe! I had to steal that from my DT member and friend Stacie. I thought that was just too cute :D.

Sorry for my delay in posting. I am really not sure what today even is right off the top of my head :/. My little man has been pretty sick with a high fever, sore throat and other things I will spare you from reading about. Thank goodness the fever has left him, we are just trying to get the other things under control and make sure he does not become dehydrated. We have to be back at the dr this afternoon.

Back to the post :D
Yesterday was the start of the new Freshly Brewed Challenge which is to create Anything But a Card. Bags, boxes, treat holders,Link bookmarks, wall hangings.... the possibilities are endless!!!

Here is a project I created using Adlea's template: 3 pocket Caddy. This template is available in a PDF file. Her templates are all just so beautiful and so easy to create with.

My flower filled gift set using
Daisy with Flowers Digital Stamp

I created a bookmark that fits inside a pocket that is decorated with a FBD Digital stamp: Daisy with Flowers. Daisy is colored with prismacolor markers and decorated with diamond stickles. I also used the cuttlebug swiss dots folder, glass beads, ribbon, and a border punch to decorate the caddy.

I am off to take a break before getting my little man off to the dr. I am not tired due to the lack of sleep I have gotten, just a little light headed. Perhaps I will start another pot of coffee :)

Hope to see you participate in this weeks challenge!!! Please stop by and check out the post for all the current FBD News!
