God is so good! (Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer)

I am blessed to be back again today with another
Word Art Wednesday card.
This week has been so busy. We are preparing for school to start.
We are also preparing for all of the new dance classes the kids will be involved in.
They will be taking up pretty much every weeknight.
I am looking forward to the new start though.

I have been trying not to let every day things stress me out.
I have failed every day, but also done better than before.
I was reading an blog post at for the family entitled:

That opened my eyes and heart to a whole different perspective.
God is so good to me. So good that even the little, every day tasks that I do... even the ones
that I feel are so annoying and unending, are done and should be done for Him,
giving Him glory. If you want to read that post click >HERE<

I am going to get back to the reason for this post and share my
Word Art Wednesday card with you.
This weeks scripture:

Isn't that a beautiful scripture.
CHRIST IN YOU, THE  HOPE OF GLORY!
How amazing is it to know and have Jesus living in your heart?
To know how much he loves you and that he died for your sin.
To know that His love costs nothing. It is free. Salvation is free.
All we have to do is accept it. He paid the price for MY sin.
He died a death that only I deserved.
And He would do it again! Just for one person. Just for you!
If it meant that he would have to endure the cross all over again, just to save you,
he would! He loves us with such a deep love. We are His children.
We are so important to Him. God, the father, loves us so much he knows every hair
on our head. He knows every worry and fear. He knows every pain and tear we shed.
He wants to comfort us. To hold us. To give us peace and joy that surpasses all understanding.
We just have to ask for it. So simple. Our lives can change in an instant by asking Jesus into our
heart, to forgive us of our sin, to turn away from wicked ways and follow Him completely.

Hello Crafty Friend

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Weekend... and for some of us it is still going on today!
(woohoo for a 3 day weekend!!!)

I created this card over the weekend. It is my first time creating a stair step card. I wish I had been a bit more creative with it :D it is sort of plain, but still 'works'. I can picture butterflies peeking / springing out from the stair step behind the main image :)  Maybe Next time.

This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp E(spresso) Mail. She was colored with prismacolor markers and stamped with momento ink. I used a thick Bazzil textured cardstock for the base, papertrey inc cardstock for the image, and designer paper by BasicGrey: Ambrosia that was RAKed to me by my lovely friend Linda. The sentiment stamp was a gift from Stacy. It is from the Crafty Sprouts set: Lets go Blog Hopping.

Speaking of blog hopping...
Don't forget our BLOG HOP is coming up this Saturday!
We will be releasing RUBBAH and have lots of fun things to share with you!

We are also having a Presidents Day Sale in the shop.

On Cloud 9

I think I am higher than cloud 9 as a matter of fact :D! Speaking of cloud 9, why did we start saying that? a little lesson for us this morning:

According to the "Morris Dictionary of Word and Phrase Origins," the phrase is based on U.S. Weather Service terminology. This theory holds that cloud types are numbered, and that "cloud nine" is the designation given to "cumulonimbus" clouds, the highest-flying clouds around, making them an apt metaphor for being "on top of the world."
When "you're on cloud nine" you feel wonderful !
Like nothing else is really very important.
This expression means that you are extremely happy, almost in heaven.
For example: You have been dating for 6 weeks and you are madly in love with him and he proposes to you and you are in static, or ''on cloud nine"
OR:
If you have been dating for 6 weeks and you are madly in love with her and propose to her and she accepts without hesitation, you are blisfull and elated or "on Cloud Nine".

OK so I am sharing this because of the last example they have given here... hmm. 6 weeks? How is that even an example. How many people DO that? I know that I did ;) lol... met my husband and was engaged only a month later. Just curious!

OK, now to the card and reason for my feeling extremely happy.
My twine came in yesterday!!! WOOT WOOT!!!
I am one of those people who get the old stuff. I get the old paper because it is the ones that are put on sale or  on clearance. I get old ribbon.. all of my stuff is old for that reason. lol! But I also get it because I love it and I wait because I know it will one day go on sale... but to have something NEW as soon as it comes out... that is a first for me! :D I was  able to take advantage of the special they had last week for the $8 spools of twine. I chose the Orchid, Flax and Cantaloupe because the blue was sold out already and my impulse buying button was flashing pretty hard. I am so glad I did though.

I created this card using the Twinery colors Cantaloupe and Orchid. The rubber stamp is Fresh Brewed Designs Cutie Pie in Clouds . She will be part of a SPECIAL ONE DAY DEAL FBD is having on February 6th. She will be on sale for $3.95 .. one day only or until sold out. If she is sold out, I will add a new stamp to replace her for that price until the end of the day!
more materials: The blue dot paper is my My Minds Eye bright dot stack, the pink is making memories small pink dots, the yellow is PTI 2008 bitty dot basics. I colored little cutie pie with prismacolor markers and decorated her with glossy accents and diamond stickles. The epoxy hearts are by little yellow bicycle.

Thank you for stopping by today!
Have a lovely Thursday!

Mask It Monday!

Candy Corn Girl Rubber Stamp (NEW RELEASE)

Good Morning!!!
If you know anything about me and my stamping (past to present) you will know that I have always LOVED masking my stamps and making fun scenes or different themes with them. I love paper piecing and playing with them. It is SO much fun!!!
Our Guest Designer from August,  Vanessa, seems to love to do it too... and has made me slow down and look at things a whole different way. This stamp for instance. I NEVER really thought to mask her. Then Vanessa stepped up to the plate with these ROCKIN cards:  Football theme , 3 different themed cards

I added a flower brad to her hair to hide the spider, I added flower soft over the candy corn (so I really did not truly mask this time, but close enough :D)  and voila!!! My DT and friends sent me a box of goodies this past week as a celebration for FBD turning 1 year old. I created this card with several of the goodies in the box. I had a fun pink plastic stencil that I took to my light box and embossed in layers then inked the paper, the fun fabric button, the white button, the sweet ribbon ... just looking at this card makes ME smile. Thank you again ladies!!!

We have had our shop and rubber for a year now! can you believe it? I can't!!! There will be parties and things to follow... be watching and waiting for NOVEMBER. That is our PARTY month at Fresh Brewed Designs!! :) .. and if you have been a customer this past year. . you will not want to miss it..... and that is all I Can tell you for now :D

Fairy Sweet

Good morning everyone!
I am back today to share with you a cute little card I made using the

Doesn't she look like she is having a fun time swinging from the little clouds over a bed of lollipop shaped flowers?!?  Her wings and shoes and little lips were painted with Inspirations Paint: fairy dust. I LOVE this paint! It is so shimmery and dries SO quickly. I can paint my project, come back within just minutes and it is dry and ready to go! Just don't forget to rinse your paintbrush as soon as you are done :D.

Strawberries are Sweet!

Good morning!
Yesterday my little girl took over my computer, ALL DAY!!! I literally think I went through withdrawals lol!!! ((No, all was not lost... I did survive)) While she was playing and creating her blog like mom *wink* and so on, I created this sweet little card to share with you all.

This was made using the Fresh Brewed Designs Cutie Pie Butterfly rubber stamp, ki memories Juicy Summer paper, MFT DieNamics crochet die, felt trim, SU sentiment, prismacolor markers, inspirations paint: fairy dust, PTI cardstock, 5x7 cuttlebug dots embossing folder, and the strawberry is from the Spellbinders fruit diecut set.

I really had fun making this card. I painted the oval with the fairy dust paint, it dries in a flash so with in minutes I was running this through the embossing plate. I actually like her green hair. She looks like a little strawberry fairy :) don't you agree?!? Hannah saw it from a distance and thought it was grey. She gave me one of those "oh... that's. ... cute?..." HAHAHA!!! THEN she came closer and saw it was a light muted green. Imagine her delight! HA!

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday.
Sending hugs and smiles!!!

Inspired by Sketches AND Wings!!!

I am back with a few more cards for you tonight. This first one is featuring the FBD rubber stamp: Cutie Pie in Flowers. I used the Eat Sleep Stamp sketch (again) for this card. I kept this card pretty plain and simple and sweet. The border on the sides of the image are actually from a punch I have. I am not sure what the punch is, it is a small circle with a little circle in the middle. sort of like a fat doughnut (OH MAN NOW I WANT A DOUGHNUT!!!) Anyway ~ I cut these doughnuts in half and overlapped them down the sides of my image. I then took three different RAKed flowers, layered them and added a sentiment / brad in the middle of them. The image is colored with prismacolor markers, stickles, and blue inspirations paints. The paper is by K&Company.

For this second card I used PaperTrey Inc Black cardstock as my base. The pink is Bazzil textured card stock in which I used that same doughnut punch, made a stencil and painted on ink to create the deeper pink dots. I then doodled all around them to create my bg paper. I stamped the Hot off the Press butterfly in the center of the decorated circle and traced around it with a white gel pen. I minimally decorated the inside of the card to match. This card was also inspired by a sketch: Card Positioning Systems sketch to be exact:)

Thank you for stopping by tonight. I have a busy day tomorrow but hopefully will be able to whip something else up to share with you this week :D

See you soon!

always.....

OK, don't fall out of your seat. This does not feature a FBD image, lol!!!
I had a lot of fun making this project. During my daughters recital, a little girl (teenager rather) asked me if I would help her cut around the bottom of her pants / costume she was wearing for a performance. I was nervous to do that, but someone showed me how and I was able to get her ready so she felt safer to be dancing on stage. I scooped up some of the scraps and brought them home. I wanted to make my daughter's ballet teacher something to reflect her style and beauty. I thought these sequins would make it a little more special. I think she liked it :). She said she was going to hang it in her new (around 6 month old) baby girls room.

To create this project I used chipboard, paper from Cosmo Cricket DeLovely bought from the Scrapbook Cottage, butterfly wings stamp set by Hot off the Press, sentiment stamp set (always) by Autumn Leaves, hanging tag sentiments by Pixie Affirmations, glass beads, satin ribbon from walmart, prismacolor markers, and rhinestones by SEI.

Happy Hellos!

Good Morning!!!
I am so excited to have had the chance to be a part of the D.I.V.A.S. Oldie But Goodie blog hop this month! If you are getting here from Ching Tan's Beauty of a Blog: http://www.notleftstanding.blogspot.com/ then you are on the right track!!! If not please go back to the start at the ever so sweet Cindy Hess Grigiski's blog -http://www.stampwithmecindyg.com/

Things have been so hectic around here as summer draws near. The shop and kids activities really take up more time than I realize, lol, but it is good time and fun. I have had to step back and realize that the clothes will wait another day. I have two days a week that I REALLY clean and the others I straighten up as I go. I used to really stress about housework. Many friends here it the blog world (and my mom who is also a neat freak) have told me it is not worth it. Yesterday was my cleaning day ~ so today is free to have FUN :) YAY!!! Blog hops, blog posts, new challenges and more! I am off soon to start baking cakes for my sons Tee Ball party. Today is the last game of the season and his last Tee Ball game ever. He moves up next year. Sortof bittersweet for me. I don't want my little man growing up so fast.

I know you are not hear to listen to my chattering, you are here to see some papercrafty goodies! Well, I hope that my projects are just that and you enjoy your visit here with me today. The challenge this week at my challenge blog: Freshly Brewed Challenges, is to create with Red White and Blue. I had fun with this combo, moreso than I thought I would and I really do love how they turned out. My 'old' that I used for these projects would be scrap papers on the Hi card. Those papers are well over a year old. Also, my cricut cartridges were dusted off for these projects. I was able to use the frames from the Paper Pups cart as well as the jar from the Stretch your Imagination Cart. WAHOO!!! :) I forgot how much fun the Cricut actually was!!!

inside

These cards are all simple and were lots of fun to create.
I hope you enjoyed stopping by today. Your next hop stop is the lovely Mary Harmon: http://sparkly-train.blogspot.com/. Have fun hopping and I hope your day is full of smiles and Happy Hellos! God Bless!!!

Have a Fintastically Magical Day!

Good Morning! I am sitting here sipping my coffee looking out the window hoping for a not too hot but dry and nice day. Is that asking too much ;)?? My son has a make up tee ball game this morning so we will be moving and grooving early this Saturday.

Blogger was acting wonky yesterday, so I did not get to post my card :( SO today you get two :D!!! This first card was created using the FBD rubber stamp: Cutie Pie Mermaid. I pulled out my cricut and was amazed that it cut out these little embellies with no oopsies. We usually have oopsies! I guess the thicker cardstock works better for smaller items. They turned out so cute with her!!! I traced the detail cuts with a marker and then painted over the little darlings with Inspirations Paints: Light Purple. My favorite color is purple but I am always challenged when I try to use it on a card. Not sure why. That is another reason I chose the purple and green inspiration photo for Freshly Brewed Challenges this week. Both of these cards go for the challenge ~ but the cutie pie also works for the MONTH LONG PRIZE CHALLENGE: Beach / Summer theme! You CAN combine other FBD challenges with the prize challenge, so what are you waiting for??? Challenges for this card:
Eat Sleep Stamp Sketch
Stamps & Fun = Creativity - dots
Crafty Pad - Spots and Dots
Let's Ink It Up - Embellish it

Whisper: The Fairy

I have a confession. I do not think I have used Whisper as long as she has been in my shop. I am now wondering how many others I have yet to create with!!! Her name was easy to choose. The others I had to think and look up names and meanings. She just WAS Whisper. She reminded me of the times when God sends a little calming breeze, a whisper, to remind us he is there and he loves us.

I used the creative inspirations paints to paint these flowers. I think it turned out SO pretty. I had the offwhite prima flowers and this painted over then just so amazingly perfect!!! I also painted strips of glittery goodness in her hair. Challenges for this card include:
Fabulous Friday - Use ribbon or twine

Challenges for both cards include:
Creative Belli -Anything starting with S ~ Shimmer-seashell
Sisterhood of Crafters - Let it Shine
My Time To Craft - Scallops
Cheerful Stamp Pad - Girls with curls
