Spring Cupcakes .... yes please!

OK... so I am on a diet.
I have gained so much weight lately it is ridiculous!
So I joined a Barre class at my daughters dance studio.
It is held twice a week. I will also be participating in one
cardio class (which is tonight) and I am scared :D lol!!!
So... no cupcakes for me... unless I am coloring them... and
sometimes that's just as good.....
who am I kidding. No it's not! lol!!!
I can tell you I am SO EXCITED for my daughters upcoming birthday (near the end of the month)
because that will be my 'cheat day' and I will eat one cupcake or one slice of cake
(but that's all) and I will enjoy every crumb! :D

Are you ready for some FAT FREE cupcakes?
Check out our LIL SWEETIES.
we just released 5 new images today and hope that you love them
as much as we do :)

I created this card using LIL SWEETIE SPRING FLOWERS

I colored this sweetie using prismacolor markers AND copic markers.
All of the papers are from my stash. I know I have had the green dot (handmade)
paper for about 8 years now. I have hoarded it. I have no idea where any of
these came from. Just my hoarded OLD stack of papers. sigh...

The sequins were one of those last minute decisions. I pulled them out of my
drawer (forgetting I took the cap off to make a super hero stand for my son)
and they went everywhere. In my lap. On the floor. So I took that as conformation
to use them on the card. I had to pick them up one by one anyway... why not put some
to use. :) I also added a few little epoxy stickers, a tiny clothes pin and a pretty pink rose.

I used this SPLITCOAST STAMPERS Sketch SC582
as my inspiration (and if you follow SCS you will know the challenge posted today... so
I totally procrastinated and put the card together this morning. Hence the late post.
I colored the image last week... but never found time to put it together. It is what it is.
I still think this card turned out really sweet :)

Here are all of our NEW RELEASED digis:

I will NEVER leave thee ...

God's love for us speaks so clearly in this scripture.
He has given me all I ever needed and blessed me with far
more than I deserve. I take comfort in knowing he is always
there for me. He will never leave me nor forsake me!
Thank you, God, for all you are.

I used a  Sponsor Image from Bugaboo Stamps
along with the beautiful WAW *free* word art file
at the challenge blog >>HERE<<

I am sure you have noticed that I am in the mood for spring!

My last few posts have been ALL about spring images, colors, holidays...
I am SO READY!!!

As a matter of fact, my heat NEVER came on last night!!!
and I was able to open windows today and air out the house! WOOP WOOP!

Thank you for stopping by today.
Be blessed!

Hello Spring!

Happy Wednesday!
It's that time again!
Time for another Freshly Brewed Challenge :)
YAY!
This week we want to see your projects featuring FLOWERS.

NEW DIGI!!!

I actually used an old technique for coloring parts of this image.
I used the lid of my ink it up ink pads (green and yellow)
(cheap $1 pads I have had for YEARS)
mashed the lid into the ink and used water and paintbrush to watercolor paint the
yellow chick and the yellow-green grass.

Then I got to cutting.
LOTS of fussy cutting for this one
I am happy with how it looks IRL,
Not so much in how I took the pic, lol

and last but not least I added LOTS of glitter!
(stickles crystal and Martha Stewart Crystal Fine)

The rest of the image was colored using
 PRISMACOLOR MARKERS and COPIC MARKERS

I used the SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH #258  SSSC259

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
I hope to see you play along in our Freshly Brewed Challenges!

Have a happy and blessed day!

WORD ART WEDNESDAY Jan 28 and Feb 4

      My new name is SCATTERBRAIN
      How do you like it?

I have been soooo busy with the kids and dance and things of that nature
that I seemed to have forgotten to post my card last week :-(
This week I am late getting my card to the WAW team because I lost track
of what day it was. I wasn't feeling well for a few days.
Stress finally caught up to me? I'm not sure. But I was down for the count there for
a few days and literally thought yesterday was Monday.... but it wasn't as we all know.

      All of that being said...
Here are my latest WAW projects

Our challenge this week is all about LOVE!
Everything we do should be done in love.
Christ loves us so much and we should do everything with Him in mind
and let everything we do be a reflection of our love for Him!
*and sometimes that isn't easy folks!*
There are days we just don't feel like being nice.
Our buttons are pushed or we just have had a really icky bad day.
But God says in ALL THINGS!
We are human and our flesh gets in our way sometimes, but
thank goodness we have the Holy Spirit with us reminding us when we mess up and
telling us that we need to take a step back and think about what just happened.
He is also there to help us. Sometimes we don't know what to say to those in need.
Sometimes we meet someone that is just rude and mean and we don't want to be nice
to them or even know HOW to. The Holy Spirit is there to guide us and encourage us and help us.

this card was created using the SCS Monday Try a New Technique challenge:

      CHALLENGE : January 28th

I really had fun making this card. We had several dreary, rainy, gray days in a row
and really felt that we needed some happy, bright colors to look at.
I found some old vine looking trim in my stash and used the little pink sequins
      to resemble flower buds.

I do hope you will stop by and play along with us at WORD ART WEDNESDAY!
Have a happy and blessed day!

God is so good! (Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer)

I am blessed to be back again today with another
      Word Art Wednesday card.
This week has been so busy. We are preparing for school to start.
We are also preparing for all of the new dance classes the kids will be involved in.
They will be taking up pretty much every weeknight.
I am looking forward to the new start though.

I have been trying not to let every day things stress me out.
I have failed every day, but also done better than before.
I was reading an blog post at for the family entitled:

That opened my eyes and heart to a whole different perspective.
God is so good to me. So good that even the little, every day tasks that I do... even the ones
that I feel are so annoying and unending, are done and should be done for Him,
giving Him glory. If you want to read that post click >HERE<

I am going to get back to the reason for this post and share my
Word Art Wednesday card with you.
      This weeks scripture:

      Isn't that a beautiful scripture.
CHRIST IN YOU, THE  HOPE OF GLORY!
How amazing is it to know and have Jesus living in your heart?
To know how much he loves you and that he died for your sin.
To know that His love costs nothing. It is free. Salvation is free.
All we have to do is accept it. He paid the price for MY sin.
He died a death that only I deserved.
And He would do it again! Just for one person. Just for you!
If it meant that he would have to endure the cross all over again, just to save you,
he would! He loves us with such a deep love. We are His children.
We are so important to Him. God, the father, loves us so much he knows every hair
on our head. He knows every worry and fear. He knows every pain and tear we shed.
He wants to comfort us. To hold us. To give us peace and joy that surpasses all understanding.
We just have to ask for it. So simple. Our lives can change in an instant by asking Jesus into our
heart, to forgive us of our sin, to turn away from wicked ways and follow Him completely.

We are so happy to have you visiting with us today.

We have been waiting for this hop, and season change, for some time now!
Birds are singing, kids are riding bikes, pollen is covering everything, bees are
busy buzzing around ... SPRING IS HERE!

I had so much fun drawing up these little digis!
Little Daffodil poured from my pencil as I was sketching, her little friend Daisy was soon to follow.
I think spring is one of the most beautiful of all the seasons.
It makes me think about new life, beautiful flowers blooming, the sun shining,
and we get to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.
Well, I don't just celebrate his life on Easter, I try to celebrate it every day!
      He loves us so much!

      DAFFODIL PLANTS Digital Stamp

I used all scrap papers for this card.

      A Little Romance

      GOOD MORNING!
I am here with my SECOND post for the day!
Ok .. breathe...  I know it has been hard to get one out of me... but two!
It's a shock, I know, but we will get through this together.

      {{to see post #1 Simple and Sweet go HERE}}

This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs (my) digital image:

This card was really fun for me to make.
I had fun putting all of the embellishments and papers together.
This paper is from the girls paperie, but I am not sure of the actual paper name.
It was from my scrap pile... in my HUGE christmas tree size box of paper.
This past summer was a very eventful one. It was good, but I had no time to create ...
so I decided to give it up. I kept out a few things.. but packed up all of m y larger papers
and put them away. I decided to ask my husband (being the big strong guy he is) to get the
mega heavy box back down for me. He, ever so lovingly did, and I apologized the entire time.
This paper was on top and I knew it would be perfect for this card.
I was really excited to see all of my OLD paper again :D

      Materials:
Prismacolor markers, Copic Markers, The Girl's Paperie patterned paper,
Papertrey Inc cardstock (white and brown), homemade felt flower,
Making Memories Je t'Adore velvet leaves, Making Memories Je t'Adore brads,
Making Memories 5th Ave. trim (ribbon), and Basicgrey pearls: opaline

      Glitter!

      Good morning!
It is time for a Fresh Brewed Designs Caffeine Crazy Challenge!
      What is that you ask?
It is a 24 hour challenge we host every 5th Saturday of the month.
This month we are wanting to see some FBD GLITTERY CREATIONS!

I created this card in hopes to inspire you to get all your messy glitter out
      and just have fun!

I used stickles to add sparkle ALL OVER this fun and simple card.
*cotton candy, fruit punch, and green*
      on the bird
      *stardust and eucalyptus*

I kept this layout pretty clean and simple. The paper was actually a piece with a double image just as you see here. I cut the paper in half and then removed the inside of the red square to create the frame.
The pieces I cut from the middle became shudders. A little scoring, sanding, gluing and glittering and voila!
Here she is. A very sweet and simple feel good card!

This amazing paper was gifted to me by Rhonda and the little wooden bird
was tucked inside of a birthday card from Vanessa.

Thank you for stopping by today!

We also want to remind you of our SALE going on NOW!

      Tea for You!

      Good Afternoon!
I hope you all have had a happy Wednesday so far.
Today has been sortof upside downa nd sideways for me.
I finally snapped out of 'some' of my lull and was able to complete 3 hours of school with the kids, make lunch, clean the kitchen, clean bathrooms, wash and fold a few loads of laundry,  and get a little bit of
design team work done. (behind the scenes DT work, not actual fun/creative time)

Now all I have to do is plan our Wednesday night lesson plan for the
childrens church, cook dinner, clean up dinner and get everyone dressed
and ready to go. Sigh. That's all.
      And make coffee.
      Yes.
      I must make coffee.
      Soon.

I am no longer going to bore you with the all the details of my day ;)
It is time for me to share a simple little card with you that
I created using the Fresh Brewed Designs

I kept this card light and sweet. The little flower embossed background paper
was a last minute decision. I had something else entirely picked out for this card,
but it would have been much darker. This card just looks happy -
therefore it makes me happy. So we are all happy!
(yes, I am losing it... and I really need to hush and take a coffee break)

The papers and ribbons are all from a scrap pile. The huge left overs
from 12 x 12 size designer paper stacks. The purple and white cardstock
are from PTI. The pink textured cardstock is from Bazzil.
She was colored up using prismacolor and copic markers.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting me today.
I know this post is a little off... but that's me.
I am off... and that is ok!

Sending you all smiles and big hugs!

      You Make Me Hoppy!

Thanks for hopping by my blog today.
I hope you enjoy your visit :)

I have a card to share with you today featuring a NEW digi
      from  Fresh Brewed Designs called

I was born on Easter ... so when I see little Easter Bunnies and things it reminds me
of the little vases and things my mom had flowers in at the hospital. One in particular had the shape of
a fuzzy (pink I think) easter bunny holding or beside a huge easter egg. (the egg was the vase)
These colors remind me of  it :)
When it was drawing nearer to my daughters birth, we were hoping she would also be
born on Easter. She was just 4 days too early :)

Here is a close up of the image showing the crystal stickles, meadow flower soft,
glossy accents and the crystal fine martha stewart glitter strip above the moss.

Thank you for stopping by today.
