Spooky or Sweet?

Good Morning!
It's time for another Freshly Brewed Challenge :)
We want to see your SWEET TREATS this week.

My card is Halloween themed, but your's doesn't have to be!
I used the FBD Digital Stamp

I used scraps from my scrap pile for this entire card.
I purchased this orange DS paper a few years ago and still have
a few bits and pieces of it. The other side is black with orange dots. :)
The punches are by Martha Stewart. I used black diamond stickles
and glossy accents all over the card to give it that extra bit of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope to see you play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges

Have a wonderful day!

You are Boo-tiful!

We at, Freshly Brewed Challenges, challenged you to
create something with SPIDERS on it this week. It can be a big spider
or a tiny spider embellishment. Any spider will do. Just not a real one...
that would be just a bit too creepy for me :D

My daughter has recently realized that she does not like spiders.
At all.
I am officially a spider catcher and releaser. If they don't look too icky,
I will catch and release them. Sometimes I kill them. But more go free.
 My daughters motto:

Anyway -
I have a few simple cards to share with you.
These cards were created using the new Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Stamp:

A lot of pics for such simple little cards, I know... but they are all just a bit different
and creepy and fun. I created these cards and have them up for sale at Marlisa's Wig Shop.
She is the one who donated the wig to my mom who is currently undergoing chemo treatments. She has her
fourth treatment this week. That breaks my heart because she is so sick for the first week after
but it is also a good thing because it means she will only have TWO MORE TO GO!!!!

I appreciate your stopping by and visiting my little blog today.
I hope you have a beautiful day!

I hand painted them with glow in the dark paint to make them extra spooky.
I know the photo is terrible, but whatcha gonna do?
I took it in a super dark room...

OOOOoooooOOOOHhhh! Creepy!!!

Happy Halloween

I am here to share a Halloween project with you ...
A little late in the game...
but better late than never, right?

My friend, Lori, made an adorable tag this week
and I decided to try and make one myself.
I CASed hers... check hers out HERE

I used the Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Stamp

My mom and her friends always met for what they called craft circle for as long
as I can remember. They would meet while we were in school and make neat projects.
I remember them being up to their elbows in stiffy bow baskets,
decopauge, making pine cone baskets and more.
I now get to also participate in the fun.
We meet on Fridays for a few hours at my moms house.
My kids are homeschooled, so they also get to get in on the fun.
The only difference is that we bring our own projects we are working on.
I haven't had the chance to drag all my stuff over there. It is too complicated
for someone as indecisive as me to take card making things, lol.
I end up just talking and eating. :D
But I love spending time there.

Since it is Halloween. I decided to make some treats for the kids
and ladies there. There was even enough for them to take some home for their
family if they wanted.

Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you have a fabulous evening!

Smiles,
Heather

Oh for the love of PUMPKINS!!!

Happy Wednesday!

I had a sudden boost of mojo and decided to trash my kitchen.
I didn't cook last night. It was our LONG day at dance.
We are there from 4-8 PM on Tuesdays.
I made subs. Yum!!!
SO - if anyone knows me I LOVE coffee and a CLEAN kitchen and living room...
and bathrooms... I keep coming back and adding to my list. HAHAHA!!!
I would prefer a clean house ... but that seems impossible.
I take that back. It is clean, but cluttered and clothes never seem to make it back
to their 'homes'. They like sitting on dressers or in laundry baskets. lol.
All of this leads to my kitchen. It is covered in little orange papers cut from the bottoms of
little orange circles used to create cute little paper pumpkins.
I went a little overboard. I could probably make 100 little pumpkins with all I cut out :D
They are just too cute and fun!
Not only are little bits (and still big bits) of paper covering a large area of my kitchen table,
but ink, stamps, glue, and black glitter are there too.
OH! and PUMPKINS! I have several different little pumpkins made.
Some stamped with spiders. Some just inked. Some tall. Some small. I love them all! :-)

Another thing you may have guessed is that I had too much coffee this morning.
I got up at 5 am to send my hubby to work, got the image I colored last night,
cut her out and planned my card.

I stopped by SCS and decided to use their sketch challenge for this week:

And here she is:

My card featuring
and some sweet paper pumpkins

OK, I am really loving my card. I had so much fun making this!
I haven't had time to get REALLY creative in my cards lately.
I have been too busy. I enjoyed coloring her, adding the doodle dots, choosing
papers that I would normally NEVER put together, adding RIBBON!
I haven'd added ribbon to my cards in forever! and a sweet little brad.
I may have to hoard this card for a while before I send it off ;) hehehe!!!
I know I sound crazy, but I did warn you that I made extra strong coffee this morning and
have had way too much. Or maybe I didn't warn you. I will have to go back and check.
I may have just warned you in my mind! ;) BWAHAHAH!!!

OK, off I go!
I do hope you will play along with us in our PUMPKIN PATCH challenge at
FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES. There are only 7 entries so far... and
that just isn't right! I know you are all using pumpkins ;)

****Now for some Fresh Brewed News****

New Digi Release at Fresh Brewed Designs (Dress Up Kids)

It's time for a NEW DIGI RELEASE!

I am so excited to share these new images with you!
I had such a great time sketching them up and
then coloring and bringing them to life!

17 new digital sentiments to release today!

When I sat to start sketching these images,
I knew I wanted something for Halloween, but also wanted them
to be versatile enough to use for many other occasions.
I know my son (and daughter when she was younger)
didn't have to have a specific day or reason to play dress up,
they just did it. I can't tell you how many photos I have of my son
dressed up as every super hero imaginable.
He has been a monkey, a ninja turtle, a skeleton, a zombie skateboarder,
Casey Jones... The list is literally endless. I could go on and on.
The point is, kids just love dressing up, and we love seeing them use
their imaginations. This is what this whole release is about!
Just cute kids having fun!

My first card features
and

I used the sketch SC508 at Splitcoast Stampers for this card

My second card features:
and

I used the sketch #239 at SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH  for this card.

My third card feature:
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Freshly Brewed Challenges October #1 Challenge - TAGS

We host a biweekly challenge and for this challenge
we want to see.. you already know.. tags!
It can be a project that is a tag or have a tag on your project.

This card was created with a variety of embellishments and papers.
The little tag and bat were gifted to me. I believe they are from SU
The little embossed picket fence was a Christmas gift from my daughter last
year. This was the first time it has been opened and used :-( I distressed it with a
cheap ol ink it up white ink pad. The ghoul-friend sentiment was hand written. The
white cardstock was cut out by hand. I added a witch hat brad and an ADORABLE little spider brad from a making memories toil and trouble set that was gifted to me.

I a confession to make...  I really don't celebrate Halloween.
I never have really. We (my sister, brother and I) went a few times as a child, but not much.
My kids have gone a few times to local trunk or treats or some neighborhood
things. This is not just because of their food allergies, I just never really liked
the holiday all that much ;) lol!!! However, I do have fun creating SWEET,
not spooky, Halloween themed projects for my friends and family that do.
And I like to make treats for the kids at home. We have fun making WORMS for lunch
or dirt cupcakes with the gummy worms coming out. I even made frozen grapes
as eyeballs one year. They didn't eat ANY of these things because they have a mind like their
mama. Sometimes TOO imaginative and it all becomes too real, lol!
I don't know if it is possible to semi-celebrate something or not, but that is what we do I guess.
I want NOTHING to do with the blood, gore, witchcraft, or demonic aspect of it all.
I will just take the cute and sweet please.

I also cut the top of the card with my scissors. This started to become tedious
and I wondered why I started that (smile) I then ran my scissors across the top to make them stand
out and distressed the edges with the same ink it up white ink pad.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Now you must think I am even more nuts than before.
Well, you don't know the half of it!
MWAHAHAHAH!!!!!
(just kidding)

I hope you will play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges.
Have a very happy and blessed day,

Wreaths are Cool!!!

Well ....  today they are! :))
I love looking at the pretty decorated houses as we drive to church on Sunday mornings.
I am usually on the bypass and highways going to dance,
so I don't get to enjoy the scenery unless it is speeding cars or roadkill :((
I  just wish I had the decorating skills others have. I love the beautiful fall colored wreaths. If I slapped one
on my little ol house it would just look worse than it did before! HAHAHAHA!!! Don't get me wrong, I am totally blessed to have what I have, I just don't do much outside work. I clean and do everything inside, and my hubby works all the time, so he doesn't do it either unless it is mowing and that sort of thing. My outside house is just not worthy of being decorated. Maybe one day!

Anyway - our challenge this week at Freshly Brewed Challenges is to use this photo inspiration pic:
BE SURE TO STOP BY THE CHALLENGE BLOG
FOR A CHANCE TO SNAG SOME FREEBIES!!!

And here are the cards I created for the challenge:

Come and Knock on my Door rubber stamp
the spiderwebs and spiders were all doodled on this card. Everything else is supposed to be there :))
The sentiment stamp is from a Martha Stewart set I purchased about 7 years ago?
The little brads are by Jazzy Brads.
TIP I scored the bg paper every half inch and then ink distressed it all to give it the look of siding.

Wreath Girl Rubber Stamp
This card was a quick and simple card I created using Papertrey Inc cardstock
(teal and brown) and paper from my scrap pile. I love the paper I pieced her dress with.
It was a RAK and I have NO idea what it is! I have saved bits and pieces of it to paper piece with.
The sentiments are computer generated.

This card was created using the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches

To Sweet to Spook

GOOD MORNING!
I created a fun little card with one of my FIRST ever digital stamps.
This one was created WAY BACK ;) in 2009 before rubber and before the website -
We were just getting started then.

I was so happy to get out this little candy corn bat and color him up.
My kids cant have very many candies due to their food allergies.
We found a single pack of Jelly Belly candy corn  - peanut free!!!
(MAN THESE THINGS ARE HARD TO FIND and they are $$$!)
and they kids got to try it for the first time.
They LOVED it, lol!!! So I am on a hunt for more.
IF you spot any - let me know who what when and where :D

I think this may actually be my first (or second - I hate to end up a liar) Halloweenish
card of the year. We do not celebrate Halloween here. (trick or treating and dressing up) We did last year, but decided we were not anymore.  We will make little treats or watch some semi-scary movies (like on Disney channel - very mild like Monster House :D) This year I will NOT make colored pasta! They make themselves sick and cant eat it. One year it was worms and one year it was brains and eyeballs... and they ate none of it. They inherited their mamas vivid imagination - lol!!!

I found this cute little border punch at Marshalls over the last weekend for $5! I snagged it up and really was excited to use it. I (forgot) I had the pumpkin border. (both by Martha Stewart). I punched out the pumpkin border and laid it over the fence die. It did not look right, so I cut off the little embossed pumpkns and glued them along the fence. Then I made it pop a bit by adding the white doodle lines. EEK! was colored using prismacolor markers and bic markers. The patterned paper is by Bo Bunny Boo Crew Here's Lookin At You and Boo Crew Dot double sided paper.

**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!**
Don't forget our October Rubber Stamp Release and Blog Hop starts THIS SATURDAY!
Hope to see you there! And there is still time to get your FREEBIE digi. Go HERE to read more
