My "not so ugly" Christmas sweats are now hanging on my stair garland with some other DIY theme Christmas ornies.

I still have a mystery, some sweaters are missing... Paris snowball, my lobster, the cookie among others, maybe some elfes have visited my boxes and chosen new outfits!

Voilà mes petits pulls accrochés, toutefois le mystère de la disparition demeure, il me manque quelques unités dont le cookie, la boule de neige parisienne et mon homard ! Des lutins facétieux auraient ils visité mes boîtes et choisi de nouveaux habits ?

Mrs and Mr. Mouse wanted a more Christmassy home this year. First Soline made me a paper tree then I saw a tuto on YT (sapin de Noël en laine "Ola ameS DIY".

I wanted to try. Well I did, tried it! Hot to do as the glue was... Not so easy to glue the wool and make those kind of loops of wool strips then to glue them on the paper cone. 

I have sewed the top and put some tiny baubles on the tree.

Mme & M. Souris vous accueillent dans leur jolie intérieur décoré avec ce nouveau sapin réalisé selon les conseils d'un tuto de YT. Le système de bandes de boucles est sympa mais assez chaud à réaliser au moins la première fois (pas sur qu'il y est une deuxième fois !).

I wanted to decorate the ivy pergola but we had such a bad weather those past days that I didn't hang anything which would have been unhooked by the wind.

J'avais tressé en automne deux couronnes avec les branchages du saule pleureur. Associées elles vont constituer une bonne base pour une jolie couronne de belle taille à poser sur la table de la terrasse.

Our weeping willow loses a lot of thin branches, l made during the fall wreaths with them and gathered  two for a big oval now decorated with old baubles.

I'll fix it on the wood table outside.

The clock is tiking...  so this is my last CC post...

I'm happy with my Christmas achievements.

I put this 3d squirrel on the front to wish her happy holidays!

A new card made as a mountain slope. Funny and simple to make and you can use lot of paper scraps to cut the trees!

J'avais mis de côté l'an passé faute de temps ce modèle de cartes en pentes enneigées. Je viens donc d'en terminer deux, très simple et plaisant à fabriquer, rien de compliqué : découper une pente en trois plis, la coller sur un fond et l'agrémenter de sapins et personnages.

I saw lovely ornies on the net with a natural look given by corrugated cardboard, strings, tartan fabric, wood and here are my first attempt.

I had some meteorological troubles with my "mountain landscape", I tried to add some snow with a bomb but snowfalls got the cardboard wet and the peaks became soft! Then the double face I used didn't work so all the panel sliped!

Don't say to someone who have worked more than 40 years in the construction/electricity business that she will be stopped by some building issues.

First white acrylic paint with a toothbrush, second make a box on which glue the mountain, third put the box on the top.

Après une mauvaise surprise météorologique...  ma neige bombée, le carton s'est humidifié et les pics ramollis ! Ensuite le double face n'a pas tenu d'où glissement de terrain !

Je n'ai pas fait plus de quarante ans de BTP pour me faire arrêter par des problèmes de construction ! Démontage, peinture à l'acrylique à la brosse à dents, remontage sur une boîte en carton et repose.

Last year I made a stitched ornament for baby Pierre as it was his first Christmas. He is now 18 months old and for his second Christmas here is this year

My Christmas cards are a big part of my GG post and I have already shown some in my Countdown to Christmas updates.

I'm making some ornaments I'll sent to friends and family as my Christmas cups or felt sewing machines.

I have stopped to work on Junk Journaling being busy with my Advent and Christmas projects but I wanted to make some little envelops journals inspired by Craft with me.

to send to my TdF6 friends all my thanks and wishes.

Two big red and green envelops as cover and in the middle some small one made in a lovely paper with holly, mistletoe and foliage.

Which give me six places to hide some little surprises and cards.

Confection de quelques "carnets-enveloppes", inspirés des créations de Craft with me. L'association de deux grandes enveloppes rouge et verte pour faire la couverture puis à l'intérieur quatre plus petites découpées dans des papiers aux motifs de houx, gui et feuillage. Cela me donne six emplacements dans lesquels glisser de petites surprises et des cartes.

My advent DIY calendar for Soline is a succes, her Mum has sent me some pictures of her creations.

Soline profite bien de son calendrier de l'avent et découvre tous les jours ses surprises à bricoler.

NOEL AU CHATEAU

 A nice break this week with a visit to Cheverny castle. For many years now they offer tours in Loire Valley castles specially decorated for Christmas season.

Let's take a look to the parc first...

First a lovely table inviting us, you don't know where to put your eyes, so much pastries, macarons... in pastel colors.

Abondance de décorations, nous ne savons pas où poser nos yeux !

Un thème différent pour chaque sapin, toutes les pièces sont mises en scène et habitées par des peluches en habits de fête.

A different themed Christmas tree in each room.

Lot of stuffed animals and toys which is great and give life to all those settings.

Ciel du lit à baldaquin qui aurait servi à Henri IV et broderies persanes / Canopy bed

I liked too that tree with every first name of all the castle staff on the baubles. And as there is my name on it, it's a little gift to me!
