One more not so ugly pullovers :

I wanted to celebrate Paris Games with the olympic rings and then visiting Soline she told me she was a great fan of Léon Marchand, a young swimmer. I told her that LEON gave NOEL by reversing the letters and it gave me the idea of a special olympic sweater:

Years ago I saw a lovely felt elf hanging on a candle and made some!

I planned to make more but only pre-cut some supplies as the felt capes and bonnets in a box with wood beads and all I needed. The box is now back on my table and I'm ready to make more elves.

Au fond d'un carton attendaient quelques fournitures prêtes à l'emploi pour la confection de petits lutins qui s'accrochent sur une bougie. Une idée réalisée la première fois il y a une dizaine d'années. La boîte est de retour sur la table de travail cet hiver ! 

Looking for pictures, I found this white felt angel version I offered to some friends.

I have changed my mind about Soline's card and switch from escape game card (spaces were too small to hide words) to a nine hidden candles she'll to find to put on her birthday cake.

Three candles hidden behind the wreast, in the sleigh and in the mail box for the entrance scenery.

Three more behind the coffee maker, in the fire and under the cap

Sother will be hidden in the snow, under the cookie and the candy.

I'm making a cake with cardboard on the back of the three parts where she will be able to slide the candles.

Pendant la confection de la carte pour Soline je me suis rendue compte que ce serait compliqué de cacher des mots derrière les décors pour réaliser mon escape game. J'ai donc changé d'idées et je vais cacher autant de bougies que d'années. Elle devra les trouver puis les ajouter sur le gâteau collé sur le dos de la carte.

Premier exemple, le décor de l'entrée : une bougie derrière la couronne, une sous un paquet dans le traineau et une derrière une lettre dans la boîte aux lettres.

Dans le salon, elles seront cachées derrière la cafetière, dans l'âtre et le panier.

Enfin dans la cour, une sera enfouie dans la neige, une autre derrière une sucette et la dernière sous le cookie.

Still stitching the multicolored tree, leaves are falling in the garden but growing on my stitched foliage.

Back on the bottom of the dress, I saw that I have confused two thread numbers and after frogging, was back with the right colors.

Alors que je reprenais la broderie du bas de la robe je me suis rendue compte que je m'étais trompée de référence de fil et que ce blanc cassé n'avait pas sa place dans la grille. D'où l'intervention rapide de SOS Pénélope pour rectifier mon erreur et compléter avec les bonnes couleurs.

A special mention "gift to gift" for the felt cake I offered to Soline

As I have used another ribbon Jo gave to me.

First I thought I could glue some pearl cotton to make a festooned cake but it was too complicated I changed my mind for a nice ribbon with small yellow and pink designs which has the second advantage of hiding the edge of the felt.

Mention spéciale pour mon gâteau 3 étages la finition réalisée avec un ruban offert par Jo, de jolis petits motifs jaunes et roses qui a l'avantage de recouvrir le bord de la feutrine.

Soline made me this lovely Santa with Hama beads, he is now welcoming us in the entrance of the house and claiming for more Christmas ornaments.

Premier arrivé dans notre entrée, ce facétieux Père Noël fabriqué en perles Hama offert par Soline. Il souhaite la bienvenue et réclame que rapidement d'autres décorations viennent le rejoindre.

Retour dans l'ateliers des lutins pour ce quatrième article sur mes réalisations spéciales Noël.

Back in the elves workshop for this fourth update on my Christmas DIY.

On my list was a palm tree (I'm always shocked Christmas can be in summer somewhere)

and I found tiny pink flamingo which could feet well!

I have used some brown ribbon for the
trunk, felt for the leaves 
Should I add beads as "Christmas baubles"
I'm tempted...

Next will came a dog, a cat and a Christmas house

So many new ideas to try but I must be wise too and there are some (many) things waiting for a finish. I'm determined to win some "she finish it, good girl" ribbon!

I finally found the bag where I kept my felt garland, the lamps were finished. I have decided not to stitch smiley on them (as I did for DD3). Only have to add the string and that's it!

Presque terminée ma guirlande attendait juste un cordon puisque toutes mes lampes étaient terminées.

I have also to start my cards. Among them I have a special one for Soline, a three wishes card to celebrate Christmas on the 25, her birthday on the 31 and the new year.

2023 accordeon card

I think I'll keep the 3 folded scenery from last year and transform it into "an escape game card". I know they sell some on the internet and I'd like to hide some little messages into the decor as a puzzled sentence she'll have to discover and assembly.

It's not totally "build" in my head but it's the general idea.

I could "cut" my wishes words by words and hide them behind door, furnitures, paintings, windows, plants, chimney, carpets and so on.

I have cut the 3 sets, front door, living room and back yard.

Il est également temps de commencer mes cartes pour les fêtes. Parmi elles, il y a un modèle un peu spécial pour Soline puisqu'il doit célébrer Noël, son anniversaire et enfin la nouvelle année. Je pense reprendre la même mise en scène que l'an passé avec trois parties. L'entrée de la maison, le salon et une cour intérieure.

J'aimerai m'inspirer d'une carte "escape game" vue sur la toile et cacher des petits mots dans le décor pour reconstituer une phrase de voeux. La conception n'est pas totalement terminée mais c'est l'idée générale.

We are back home, so I started my Christmas DIY workshop with the "not so ugly" Xmas sweaters.

Here are last year drawings, I still have to finish my cactus, try the snowflake shape and the Santa boots from the chimney! My four years collection is counting about 23 different designs, can't wait to do some new patterns!

Il me reste encore quelques idées non abouties de mes dessins de 2023 comme le cactus, la cheminée du Père Noël et le flocon de neige. Mais déjà retour sur la planche à dessin pour cette nouvelle collection avec un petit train, un lutin, une idée pour célébrer les JO de Paris : pourquoi pas les anneaux olympiques et trouver un motif sur un thème musical !

For the 2024 collection, new ideas like :

elf, small train, ice cream, 

and I want to celebrate Paris Olympic Games, maybe with olympic rings!

Ideally if can make them less than 3cm!

I also think about some music theme, so back to drawings!

My little new bee is growing well and the fish in its bowl is ok

Pour ce premier atelier feutrine, je me suis fait plaisir en démarrant de nouveaux modèles.

Ma petite abeille grandit bien, le poisson est confortable dans son bocal.

Le train sera tout autour du pull et après des essais de sequins, j'ai fixé les roues et la vapeur
