Birthday Boy
Hello Everyone! Last week, my son turned 10!! He's a big Doctor Who fan and we are currently watching the 10th Doctor (aka the David Tennant years) so I found this super cool image online to use for his card. I have to say I *loved* David Tennant as The Doctor, although I don't understand why my boy is not scared of some of the monsters - he's obviously braver than me!! I'm a little late getting this card up since it was last week, but better late than never....obviously I need a TARDIS! :)
I used a blue base that would match in with the TARDIS and layered with Chocolate Chip and some Attitude paper by Kasiercraft. Across this I've added a strip and cut the '10' out of Chocolate Chip. As I said, I found the image online and printed it out on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (sorry didn't take note of all the colours I used this time, I was in a hurry since I'd spent so much time making the cake.....). I've matted it with more blue and attached it as shown.
Stamps - Image found online
Ink - Printer
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blue, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Attitude DP
Accessories - Copics, MFT Dienamics
To really make his Doctor Who birthday extra special, I made him a TARDIS cake - it's a massive 16 x 6 inches and 3 inches high......a lot of cake and a lot of decorating!! Anyway, he loved it and that was the main thing! :)
Thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp and/or cake decorate! :)

Bees in Foxglove!
Hello Everyone! It's Power Poppy Friday and to make it even better, it's the release day for this month's Power Poppy Digi stamp which is...... Bees in Foxglove! The Bloom Brigade are joining the
Instant Gardeners this week and showcasing this beautiful release!
Our newest addition to the Instant Garden Collection just happens to be one that's a tall beauty that's not only colorful but a dramatic beauty. Our newest set, Bees in Foxglove, features three lush stalks of foxglove (Digitalis) with three plump bumblebees buzzing around doing their bumblebee thing! Add in a cheery all occasion sentiment and you have one stunning set that is ready to download, print, color and create with!
I started my card with a base of white cut with Radiant Rectangles and then used the largest die to cut another piece of white. I then used the largest two dies to cut a piece of pink. The next smallest die I've used to cut a piece of Maja Designs DP. Around these I've attached a piece of white ribbon. The Bees in Foxglove image and sentiment have been printed onto X-press It Blending Card. I've coloured the image with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV34, G20, G21, G24, G28, E50, E51, E53, B0000, B000, W1, W3, W5, Y21, C5) and I've used some Clear Spica Pen on the bees' wings. I've cut this out with Labels Four and popped it up on foam tape. To finish I've added a white bow and cut the sentiment into a notched tag, giving it a bit of a wavy shape.
Stamps - Bees in Foxglove (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink Bazzill, Maja Designs DP
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copic, Spellbinders Labels Four and Radiant Rectangles, White Ribbon, Bow Easy, X-press It Foam Tape
Of course there is lots of amazing inspiration today from the Instant Gardeners and the Bloom Brigade and you won't want to miss a bit of it!!
That's all from me today! Enjoy the hop and hope you are inspired to stamp! :)

Sending Hugs
Hello Everyone!! It's Power Poppy Friday and some of the Bloom Brigade are showing their latest Power Poppy Creations. Don't forget the Power and Spark May Challenge is now LIVE and Stacy has challenged everyone to CUT IT OUT!! You can find all the details HERE and don't forget, if you play along you have the chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice!!
I decided to play with the Daffodils stamp set today. I've stamped the image from Daffodils in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics. I've then cut it out with Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments die. I've then laced a piece of yellow ribbon through the die and glued the whole panel to a piece of Soft Sky card. I've then attached the panel to a white card base. I've then stamped the sentiment, also from Daffodils, and cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilities and airbrushed it with B000 copic while it was still in the die and then popped it up on foam tape.
Stamps - Daffodils (Power Poppy)

Wing It!
Hello Everyone!! I hope you are ready for some serious cuteness because today the JustRite Girls are showcasing the final set for the May Release called SING OUT LOUD!!! If you love cute birdies and that you can mix and match - this set will be singing your name!! Introducing Sing Out Loud.....
I had a lot of fun with this set and there are so many mix and match options - just imagine all the possibilities!! I've decided to create and fun design and matched it with super cute paper to tie it all together. I've used a base of Soft Sky and layered with white and some MME Ooh La La DP. Across this is some Blushing Bride (punched with a lattice punch) and topped with more Ooh La La. Next I took two pieces of Ooh La La DP, and scored it every 1/4 inch. Joined the two pieces together and created a rosette. I stamped the birdie image from Sing Out Loud in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white card twice - one I stamped the stripey body onto in Distress Ink Victorian Velvet. The first one I cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and coloured in B0000 Copic. The other I just cut the body and glued it over the top. Instead of fussy cutting - you can use the JustRite Sing Out Loud Digital Cut File. I've then stamped the wing (how cute is that with the music on it!!) in black onto Blushing Bride, cut it out and attached as shown. Next I stamped three flowers and the sentiment also from Sing Out Loud, in black onto white card and coloured the flowers (RV32, Y13, YG11) and cut them out and attached as shown. The sentiment, I've turned into a notched tag and popped the end under one of the flowers. To finish I added some buttons to the flowers just for a little bit of fun! :)
Stamps - Sing Out Loud (JustRite)
Paper - Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, White, MME Ooh La La DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, ScorPal, MS Lattice Punch, Buttons, Foam Tape

Make Today EPIC!
Hello Everyone!! Today the JustRite team have 2 new sets for you!! Introducing Choose Joy and A2 Garden View Background!
If you missed it - my card yesterday featured the A2 Garden View Background, you can scroll down to see it! :)
Did you see how cut the Choose Joy set is??? So sweet......however, I was faced with that dreaded card......not even the Man Card.......but......the TEEN BOY CARD!!!! GROAN!!! Seriously teen boys are soooooooo hard to make for, can't be cute, can't be too grown up, can't be daggy --- so I took a deep breath and began.....
I used a base of green bazzill and layered with Baja Breeze. Next I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the Upcycled Woodgrain Background in Desert Sand. Down the side I've attached another piece of Baja Breeze and a piece of Kaisercraft Attitude DP. I've then taken another piece of Attitude paper and cut it into a square and placed it as shown. I've die cut a 13 out of Baja Breeze and placed it on a circle of Vanilla and attached as shown. I've then used the 'Make Today Epic' sentiment from Choose Joy (thought this would be perfect for a teen boy!) and stamped it in the bottom corner in Rich Cocoa. I looked at it and thought it was probably a bit to 'clean', so I've airbrushed some E84 Copic around the edges to grunge it up a bit.
So there you go, I survived the dreaded Teen Boy Card and apparently it passed as suitable!! LOL!
Stamps - Choose Joy (JustRite)
Paper - Green Bazzill, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Kaisercraft Attitude DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand
Accessories - Spellbinders Large Circle Nestabilities, Number Dies

Heartfelt Condolences
Hello Everyone! It's Day 1 of the JustRite Papercraft May release and the team have two beautiful sets to show you today!! If you loved the Romantic Wild Roses set that was released in March, then you are going to be deliriously happy that there is another multi-step set being added to this range.....let me introduce you to Multi-Step Lilac Bouquet......
The other set being released today is Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments. Sadly sympathy cards are always something I should have on hand, and never seem to have just the 'right' thing - you know what I mean, so having a range of thoughtful, heartfelt sentiments on hand will make creating these difficult cards so much easier. Introducing.....Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments....
Actually on my card today you are also getting a little sneak peak at the background that will be showcased tomorrow......shhhhhhhh!!! :)
I've kept this card simple and soothing using soft cool colours and allowing the stamps to take centre stage. I've used a base of Marina Mist and layered with Baked Brown Sugar. Next I've taken a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped A2 Garden View Background in Memento Bamboo Leaves and then stamped Crackle Background over the top in Memento Desert Sand. I've then chosen a sentiment from Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments and stamped it as shown in Memento Rich Cocoa. Now I could have chosen any of the floral stamps to accent the front, but I decided to let the butterfly have it's moment to shine. Why? Last year I lost my uncle to cancer and in the palliative ward, when someone has passed, they put a picture of a blue butterfly on the door so that others on the ward are aware. So for this card, I've stamped the base colour of the butterfly in Teal Zeal (but stamped off once to tone the shade down) and then stamped the outline in Rich Cocoa. You can cut the shapes prior to stamping using the Multi-Step Lilac Bouquet Silhouette Cut File or you can fussy cut if you prefer. I've attached then buy gluing the bodies but leaving the wings raised. To finish I've added a sheer ribbon and bow around the bottom.
Stamps - Multi-Step Lilac Bouquet, Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments, A2 Garden View Background, Crackle Background (JustRite)
Paper - Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves, Desert Sand
Accessories - Multi-Step Lilac Bouquet Silhouette Cut File, Sheer Ribbon, Bow Easy
You won't believe the amazing projects the team have for you today - they are absolutely beautiful, so make sure you pop by and see them for yourself!
