JustRite Anniversary Vines

Hello Everyone! It's time for this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splicoaststampers and the website takes us to the China Online Museum.  There is a lot to choose from, but I was drawn to 'A Spring Breeze' - I guess because I like the pinks, greens and creams of the floral painting - what can I say, I like this colour combo!  :)  I had to go with a colour palette inspiration because I really don't have much in the way of Chinese themed stamps and such!  I've also been playing with these gorgeous new Open Leaf Vine dies....*swoon*.... I love how pretty and lacy they are!!

I've used a base of green bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla (pierced around the edge) and topped with some FabScraps Chic Pink DP.  Next I've die cut some Vanilla card using Fleur De Elegance die.  In the middle of the die cut I've randomly stamped some roses using Sweet Flowers and Vines in Angel Pink ink.  Next I've die cut four Open Leaf Vines in two shades of green card - these are great because they mirror image each other - and attached them as shown.  I've added several Prima flowers to accent the vines in pinks and ivory.  I've stamped the sentiment from Sweet Flowers and Vines in Rose Bud onto Vanilla cut, cut into a notched tag and attached under the flowers.  The corners looked a little bare, so I've stamped the heart element from Sweet Flowers and Vines in Rose Bud ink on each corner.  Finally I've accented with Silver Lining Crystal Drops by adding drops to each corner as well as the centers of two of the flowers.  I love the Crystal Drops, you can make them as big or as small and you need and give a lovely pearl effect!  *Happy Sigh*

Stamps - Sweet Flowers and Vines (JustRite)
Paper - Green Card (two shades), Very Vanilla, FabScraps Pink Chic
Ink - Memento Rose Bud, Angel Pink
Accessories - JustRite Open Leaf Vine Dies, Spellbinders Fleur De Elegance, Prima Flowers, Tonic Silver Crystal Drops, Paper Piercer

It's been very hot and stormy here in tropical Queensland since it is the middle of Summer, but I know that there has been massive Winter storms and huge amounts of snow in other parts of the world.  I hope whatever part of the world you live in that you are safe from the wild weather that's been happening of late!  Thanks for taking the time to pop by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

It's What You See

Hello Everyone!!  Today I've been playing with Happy Crabapple by Power Poppy to create a card for today's IC507 challenge at Splitcoast.  I really like this quote by Thoreau, sometimes it seems that we spend so much time looking around but don't really 'see' at all.  I played along with Splitcoaststampers' Inspiration Challenge today and was inspired by the pink/teal colour palette from THIS picture - I really liked the soft teal/blue and white with pops of pink! Soooo pretty!

I've used a base of Baja Breeze and layered with pink and white (pierced) and topped with some Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP.  Down one side I've added a piece of white punched with the Woodland Branch border punch and topped with more Botanical Tea DP.  Over this I've attached white and pink ribbons.  I've stamped the branch and sentiment from Happy Crabapple in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV00, RV32, RV34, G40, G43, G46, E21, R00, R02, R05, YG21, E81, E84, E87, B0000, B000, B00).  I've cut it out with Radiant Rectangles die and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a pink ribbon and a couple of tiny white pearls.

Stamps - Happy Crabapple (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Baja Breeze, Pink, White, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Fairy Birthday

Hello Everyone!  Today is the Inspiration Challenge at SCS and we had a Barbie theme!!  There are so many Barbies to choose from, in the end I chose Elina Barbie - a fairy Barbie Doll and thought this darling fairy by JustRite would be perfect!  :)

The base is pink bazzill and layered with white and some MME paper.  I did a bit of wavy sewing around the edges.  On top of that I used the reverse side of the paper to add another panel and added a strip of pink bazzill across it that I punched with the MS Floral Edge Punch and then added some white satin ribbon over the top.  I stamped the fairy from Garden Fairy Seeds in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured her with Copics (E000, E01, R20, G21, G24, G12, Y21, Y35, R81, R83, R85, R89, E31, E33, E35).  I cut her out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink cut with Eyelet Circle Nestabilities.  Next I stamped part of the sentiment from Garden Fairy Wishes and cut it out using Nested Sentiment Dies – made by Spellbinders and exclusive to JustRite Stampers – and added it to the bottom of the circle.  To finish I added some clear rhinestones to the corners, a bow to the ribbon and some Polar White Flower Soft to the dandelion to add a little texture!

Stamps – Garden Fairy Seeds, Garden Fairy Wishes (JustRite)
Paper – X-press It Blending Card, Pink and White Bazzill, MME Quite Contrary DP
Ink – Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories – Copics, Large Circle and Eyelet Circle Nestabilities, Nested Sentiment Dies, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Polar White Flower Soft, Clear Rhinestones, Sewing Machine.

Inspired Thank You

Hello Everyone!  Today's Inspiration Challenge took us to Shabby Apple and what did I see but the Queensland Collection and since Queensland is my home state, of course I had to choose something from there!  I have been to many of the beaches named, but I chose Couran Cove which is just down the highway from where I live!  Brown with a little ruffle has led me to create my card!  :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla layered with Chocolate Chip and some Kaisercraft Cafe Culture.  For my ruffles I punched some more Chocolate Chip with the Martha Stewart Deco Fan punch and topped with more Cafe Culture DP and some dark ivory satin ribbon.  The sentiment panel is from JustRite's Joyful Hearts set and has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla.  I've matted it with the Beaded Oval Nestabilites, once again in Chocolate Chip and popped it up on foam tape.  To finished I added a couple of Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - Joyful Hearts (JustRite)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Cafe Culture DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Large Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Deco Fan Punch, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls, Foam Tape.

Holly Inspiration

Hello Everyone!!!  I hope all my US friends have had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!  Today I was looking around SCS and came across this week's Inspiration Challenge which led me to The Country Porch.  Now I don't know about you, but I STILL have a big Christmas card list to get through and when I saw this Holly Berry Tablecloth, it reminded me so much of the Kaisercraft Be Merry DP in my stash!  I also used this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch for the layout!

I started with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with white and some Be Merry DP.  Next I took a piece of gloss gold and punched one side with a scallop punch and layered it with Old Olive that has been stamped in Versamark with the Poinsettia Background stamp and also punched with the scallop border punch.  Over the top of these layers I attached some white lace and red satin ribbon.  For my feature panel, I inked up only the holly part from the Holly Tag Set using my brush tipped black Multiliner and stamped it onto the X-press It Blending Card.  Next I stamped it again using  the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the holly corner to create a frame.  The sentiment is also from the Holly Tag Set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The holly has been coloured using Copics - G24, G28, R24, R29.  To finish I added a red satin bow to the image corner and some red pearls to the bottom of the card.

Stamps - Holly Tag Set, Poinsettia Background (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, White, Old Olive, Gold Gloss, Kaisercraft Be Merry DP
Ink - Black Multiliner, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Rectangle and Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, SU Scallop Punch, White Crochet Lace, Red Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Kaisercraft Red Pearls, Foam Tape.

Garden Shaker

Hello Everyone!!!  Yesterday I was talking to my friend Mandi who had recently made a shaker card and I had to admit that I'd never done one myself!  I know, it's one of those things that I said I'd get to 'one day'.  Well I decided to challenge myself to actually make one and was inspired by this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge by an adorable pinafore!  :)

Don't forget that the CopicOz challenge to do some feathering is closing soon - come join us for the chance to win a FABULOUS prize!!!!  :)

I started with the scene I was going to create and used Copics and a baby wipe to create the 'grass', airbrushed the sky and drew in a few little flowers with my multiliner.  I then stamped this sweet Sarah Kay image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I cut her out and popped her up on top of my scene.  The frame was created by cutting a back panel of white and the green top panel with the Label 17 Nestabilities.  Behind the green panel I've added a piece of acetate and before I adhered it with foam tape, I added some Sweet Pea Flower Soft as my 'Shaker' pieces.  Once all this was done I started putting the card together, starting with a base of Old Olive and layered with white and some Kaisercraft Wish Upon DP.  (It's actually Christmas paper, but I thought it was perfect for this card.)  Now I could have used my sewing machine to stitch around the edge, but since I have a dubious relationship with my sewing machine, I decided on faux stitching which I did with my .3 Black Multiliner.  Then I added a skinny panel of pink bazzill and topped with some white satin ribbon.  I then placed my shaker over the top.  To finish off, I used three Kaisercraft white flowers and airbrushed them, layered them and topped with a pearl that was coloured with a Copic Marker.

Stamps - Spring is Back (Sarah Kay)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White Gloss Card, Old Olive, Pink Bazzill, White, Kaisercraft Wish Upon DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Multiliner
Accessories - Copics, Airbrush System, Label 17 and Label 6 Nestabilities, Acetate, Kaisercraft White Flowers, Kaisercraft Snow Pearl, Sweet Pea Flower Soft, Foam Tape.

Well that's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Double Challenge

It's not very often I combine challenges (probably because it takes me too long to think up something for one, let alone two!) - but today I've managed to do just that!  I first saw the LSC259 challenge at SCS to be inspired by something about the USA Presidents.....what the????  Being a Non-American I actually had to do some research - did you know that President Thomas Jefferson had a mockingbird called 'Dick' that lived in the White House Study?!  Then the IC219 challenge popped up at SCS where we had to be inspired by Geninne's Etsy Store and what do you know - most of it is BIRDS!  Bird No18 looked kinda like a mockingbird to me so I headed off to the creative corner......

I started with a base of grey bazzill and layered with very pale dusty blue bazzill and Baja Breeze.  Next I took a piece of grey Urban Garden DSP and punched one end with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch and layered with another piece of Urban Garden cut with the Label 8 Nestabilities and attached a piece of 1" blue satin ribbon through the middle.  The bird (OK, it is meant to be a sparrow - I've used some artistic licence) is from ODBD's He Watches Me and I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with markers (Going Grey, Basic Grey, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum) and a blender pen and cut it out with Large Oval Nestabilities and mounted on more Baja Breeze and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I stamped the sentiment (also from He Watches Me) in Memento Tuxedo Black in the bottom corner, added a few clear rhinestones to the other corners and also added a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - He Watches Me (ODBD)
Paper - Grey and Pale Blue Bazzill, Baja Breeze, Urban Garden DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Label 8, Large Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, 1" Blue Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, Markers, Blender Pen, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)
