A box for my love letters ♥

Hi there everyone!

A new week, a new monday, and my turn to show you my contribution for Inkido's february challenge.

This time I want to show you a box that I made for my loveletters from my sweet husband. We have been together for 15 years now, and shared both good times and bad. Luckily most good ones :-) And he's my rock, my love and best friend. Sometimes he can be romantic ;-) and after all this years there has been some loveletters to. So I desided to make a box for them. I have painted a box with gesso, and decorated it with products and papers from Inkido.

Here are some closeups. As you might se I was inspired by the colors and the heart.

I would love it if you join Inkido for this challenge and shared you project whit us :-)

I used a corrugated white heart, painted it red, used gesso to soften it down and applied som 3D effect paint. The burgundy cherry blossoms are also from Inkido, and the green fasion flower got a good layer of matte gel and dry glitter to make it soft and shabby.

I Adore You, Inkido guesting at CSI challenge blog.

Today I have a quick share for you that I made as part of the Inkido guest stint at CSI challenge blog.

And here is a little more about the challenge:

To read the small print go HERE

I thought I'd share a few close ups of my page as well:

I started by picking out the Inkido papers that went the best with the colours of the combo.
I had an image in my head that I wanted to use the 'velvet bookmarks' as my main inspiration from the photo.

I think almost verything here except the music-paper, the swirl and a flower is from Inkido.

I quite like the weave-effect here. Of course it doesn't photograph so well and looks better IRL.

I hope you enjoyed my contribution to the CIS challenge and maybe feel a little inspired to take part!!
This is the awesome prize you could win, from INKIDO:

It's the new Christmas collection.

Hugs!!

Inkido guest appearance at Scrap Around the World.

The DT of Inkido was graciously invited to interpret the recent mood board at
This is my interpretation of this fun challenge:

And here is a picture of the mood board
Isn't it just gorgeous?!!

Here are a few close ups of my page. I started out taking inspiration from the stripes (background sheet), the words 'flying' out from the head (my butterflies), the large title (also a quote) and the black and white photo of a person.
I also did a loose interpretation of the available sketch, picking just a few  of the elements.

I fussy cut a lot of tiny flowers from one of the sheets in the 'Beautiful Memories' collection.
I believe they are poppies.

I picked Inkido's  small butterfly stamp  and combined with some other butterflies that I cut out. They were all embellished with some bling and pearl stones. Inkido do these in several colours and they are so great to add to all kinds of projects.

I find the internet is such a great source when you are searching for various inspiration, and for this challenge I decided I needed a good quote. This was just one of several quotes that I found.

After cutting out the words with my Silhouette Cameo I backed them with pink paper, except for the words black and white that I wanted to stand out against the background.
As you can see from this close up I also added some freestyle sewing with my machine. I find it adds a lot of interest without being intrusive or  taking anything away from the design.

Thanks for checking out my page today. :-)
There is still a lot of time to take part in the challenge at SATW, or why not Sabrinas September challenge here at Inkido to use layers and borders?

Hello Sunshine.

Hi, Bente here today to share a steaming new lo with you with the glue just about dry!
I have made so many pink romantic layouts lately that I felt like making a different kind today. Conveniently I had a couple of photos laying on my desk from when my youngest sister and her family was visiting here. So I did a boy page,...( still with flowers mind you ;-) )

And here are some shots of the details:

I decided I wanted to try a different combo. Normally I might still have combined the blue with pink or white or something. Instead I decided to use some of those tan coloured leaves and flowers I received in my latest Inkido kit. I think they work pretty well with the boyish blue.

Those cute butterflies that I don't seem to ever get enough of, are cut from an Inkido paper and they really have so many that are great for fussy cutting if you are into that.

The woodgrain in the background was done using a bought mask.
If you still have not tried let me tell you it is so very easy and you could start trying with a mask that  you make yourself, or maybe a leftover from a chipboard sheet.
I promise you it is great fun!!

Finally, there is a sprinkling of half pearls in the right hand corner. The three colors come from the same package. I think they look so pretty and add an extra dimension to the page.
