Mix of collections with handmade flowers.

 Hello Inkido friends!
I hope you are all well and that you have gotten a lot of lovely pages or cards scrapped lately.
Inkido has a beautiful new collection out called Spring Time, and you can see it HERE.
But today I have a page to share that uses a combination of older collections.

I layered quite a few beautiful patterned papers here and used my sewing machine to add decorative stitching and my punches for a cute border effect. The pretty vintage crochet lace add to the romantic feel of the page.

I used an awesome die by Sizzix called Tattered florals to make the larger flowers. I die cut the different parts from a patterned paper belonging to the X-mas collection. After spraying them with white mist to tone down the pattern there is nothing X-mas about them!! :-)

The Inkido papers have many gorgeous butterfly designs and I love to use fussy cut butterflies on my pages. The trellies pattern is also made using a Sizzix Frameworks die.

I had a beautiful chipboard ring once,...but alas I managed to break it in two,... Here I found a way to put it to good use. :-) I also added some ink drips and splatters for an extra effect.
That was all for today! I hope you enjoyed it.

Enjoy life!

Shabby card by Karita

Hello everyone,
it´s Karita here with my very first post and Dt project for Inkido - so exciting!
First of all, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year - may it be filled with inspiration, creativity, love & happiness.

We have a great challenge for January with the beautiful mood board.
I ended up for making card and tried to make it like a scandinavian style, so I added gesso (my favourite stuff) to give the card a shabby look.

I used the "Blue Memories" paper from Beautiful Memories collection - so gorgeous paper.
And I fussy cut few butterflies from Butterflies Borders paper.

"

I just love these Cherry Blossoms Burgundy flowers, which are also from Inkido.

Thank you so much for looking!
Hugs, Karita

Smil by SGD Christin Grønnslett

Christin here, with this layout I say thank for you for the last couple of months, it's been fun visiting here and challenge myself to do different things.  We have just entered December - a dark month - and I keep dreaming back to warmer days, even though I enjoy Christmas... I have used the wonderful Beautiful Memories II collection.

For this layout I started with clear gesso, added mist and waterbrush. Next layer is distress ink with a stencils. For the layers I this time ripped the edges and crunched them a little. In between the papers I added tissue paper and paper doilies and something that looks like magic mesh, but it used when remodeling a house - before perhaps putting up wallpaper.

Have a happy Holiday everyone !!

Helt ny - en uke by Christin Grønnslett

This weekend I was at a lovely crop in the swedish city Karlstad and met up with a large group of lovely ladies and a few men to scrap.  The layout I am showing you today was made for a challenge at the crop.

I started preparing the background with clear gesso and then I used a waterbrush to spread drops of mist. When dried I sprayed different tones of brown mist to the background and added some drops of mist.

.:Summer by Karin..

Hi Everyone!
Today is my first day here writing as a permanent member of this team!
It's an honour to join the Inkido team and I hope I can help to inspire in here as well as theese other talented team members do every day.

Today I have a layout for you with some of my favorite summer details.
I love the sun, relaxing by the water and playing around, having fun with the kids.

Here are some closeups of the flowers and smaller details.
For adding a bit more texture to the larger butterflies I used my stamp over a patterned paper and then cut out the butterfly. I love the form of this one and even though it might take some extra time cutting things out I Always seem to end up doing so ;)

Adding a few stitches here and there... And then using a framestamp to make some more patterns..
I hope you all have a great day!
And now that the fall is around the corner it sort of feels like we have all the more time to stay inside with family and friends -doing crafty things :)
If you havn't yet joined in the september challenge? Why not hop on in and join?
Lovely, Lovely prizes to win in this challenge.

Huge hugs/Karin~Kajsan
