Two Love Tags + Tutorial by Romy Veul

Hi there!

It's Romy here today and I'm sad to say that this will be my last post on the Inkido blog. I really enjoyed working with the gorgeous Inkido collections and will miss this wonderful group of talented artists.
To say goodbye to this wonderful company I would like to show you two love tags today. I also did a short photo tutorial on how to make them.

Let's start with the first tag, which I made with the gorgeous Beautiful Memories collection...

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beautiful Memories - Butterfly Borders
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Grey

Step-by-step tutorial:

1. To make this tag I first cut out a tag from patterned paper and cardstock with a Tim Holtz die.

2. I then adhered a strip of the Blue Butterflies paper on top of the tag and also adhered two chipboard borders to it. All the edges were inked with brown distress ink.

3. I then attached a clipboard chipboard piece to the tag with foamape.

4. I further embellished my tag by adhering three smaller chipboard pieces on top of the clipboard. I also added a resin cherub for a romantic touch.

5. To finish off my tag I added four cut out butterflies, seam binding and a few pearls.

My second tag was made in a rather similar way. The design is almost the same; I just used some other embellishments on this tag.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beautiful Memories - Butterfly Borders
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Grey

I hope you enjoyed my post on the Inkido blog today!
I would like to thank Inkido for this wonderful journey and I would also like to thank you, our blog readers, for your visits to and comments on the blog! They are very much appreciated!

Two vintage cards

Hi Inkido fans!

I'm so happy you're visiting our blog. Today I would like to show you two cards that I made with some of my favourite Inkido papers.

First up is a vintage card that I made as an example for the June challenge
I was mainly inspired by the vintage colours in this mood board. The mood board also inspired me to use the 'Butterfly Borders' sheet on my card, because it looks like an old book page.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Butterfly Borders
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beauiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Springtime - Children

On this card I framed one of the beautiful images from the "Springtime - Children" paper with a chipboard frame. I used some lovely cut out butterflies from the "Butterfly Borders" paper to further embellish my card.

My second card is more soft and dreamy and features a monochromatic pink colour scheme. I used some lovely papers from the Springtime and Beautiful Memories collections.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Pink Babies
Beautiful Memories - Pink Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Pink Memories
Spring Time - Sweetheart

On this card I also framed a cute image that was cut out from the "Sweetheart" paper. Again I used some lovely butterflies to adorn my card. I never tire of the beautiful butterfly patterns on Inkido's papers and just can't stop using them!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a great week!

Too Cute with Beautiful Memories & Spring Time

Hi Inkido fans! Happy Tuesday!

It's Romy here and today I would like to show you a monochromatic lay-out that I made with two beautiful Inkido collections: Beautiful Memories and Spring Time. I choose blue papers from both collections and used them to make this lay-out.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories collection:
Blue Butterflies
Butterfly Borders
Beautiful Blue
Spring Time collection:
Sweet Angels
Valentine Hearts

As you can see, I did lots of layering on this lay-out. I layered both papers and embellishments upon each other.

The beautiful butterflies are all cut out from the "Butterflies border" paper. I embellished them with a pearl and some glitter glue.

Thank you for your visit to the Inkido blog today! I hope you enjoyed my blogpost.

Two Cards with Spring Time

Hi there!
On the first day of April I have two cards to show you that I made with a mixture of the new 'Spring Time' and the older 'Beautiful Memories II' collections. One of the things I love about Inkido's papers is the fact that papers from different collections can always be combined perfectly. They mix and match just beautifully!

My first card features my favourite colour to scrap with: pink.

Inkido supplies:
Spring Time - Easter Tags
Spring Time - Springtime Children
Spring Time - Valentine Hearts
Beautiful Memories - Pink Babies
Beautiful Memories - Grandma

On this card I did some layering, punching and die-cutting to make my background. The central point on my card is a cluster of embellishments that I made with one of the cards from the 'Springtime Children' sheet, a few chipboard shapes and two resin cherubs. I then finished off my card with a few fussy cut butterflies and some bling.

On my second card I used blue papers from the 'Springtime' and 'Beautiful Memories' collections. I decided to turn this card into a spring card and used one of the 'Springtime Children' cards as the central element on my card. I framed it with a chipboard frame.

Inkido supplies:
Spring Time - Sweet Angels
Spring Time - Springtime Children
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Blue
Beautiful Memories - Butterflies Borders
Mulberry Mini Rose Vanilla

I used Inkido roses, a chipboard pencil, some die-cut flowers and the beautiful butterflies from the "Butterflies Borders" paper to finish off my card.

I hope you enjoyed my blogpost and that I inspired you to start mixing and matching Inkido's wonderful paper collections yourself.

Have a great day!

A lay-out by Romy with the new releases

Last week a beautiful parcel arrived on my doorstep which was packed with Inkido's gorgeous new releases. Of course I couldn't help myself starting to create with them immediately. This is the first lay-out that I made with the brand new "Spring Time" collection.

Inkido Supplies:
Spring Time - Butterflies

Spring Time - Easter Tags
Spring Time - Happy Easter
Spring Time - Hearts
Beautiful Memories - Butterflies and Borders
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Tiffany Jewels Earth

This lay-out is my example for the March mood board challenge. I was inspired by the bling that is in the mood board and decided to also incorporated some bling in my lay-out.

As you can see, I used the gorgeous Tiffany Jewels in my embellishments clusters to add a bit of bling to my lay-out. I also used jewel flourishes to further embellish my lay-out.

Of course I couldn't resist incorporating some beautiful fussy cut butterflies as well. The Inkido papers really have some of the most wonderful butterflies printed on them, in my unbiased opinion :)

I also added some journaling to my lay-out. The journaling is a reminder that I should enjoy life to the fullest, because we only live life once.

Thank you so much for your visit to the Inkido blog today!
Have a great day!

Two Butterfly Tags

Hi there!

Do you love making tags? I actually fell in love with tags only about one year ago and have been hooked to them ever since. I like their unique shape and find that they make a nice alternative for cards. Today I have two tags to share that I made with the gorgeous Beautiful Memories collection, together with a bunch of fussy cut butterflies.

My first tag is a pink one that was made with some of the soft and vintage inspired papers from the Beautiful Memories collection. Of course I also couldn't resist adding some punching and die-cutting.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Pink Flowers
Beautiful Memories - Pink Babies
Beautiful Memories - Pink Memories
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Borders

This tag consists of different layers of paper, of which some are die-cut or punched. I then embellished it with chipboard swirls, a resin fairy, a chipboard heart and some cut out butterflies.

My second tag features a more masculine blue and brown colour scheme. I used the beautiful blue butterflies as my starting point and then started picking papers to make my tag base with different layers of paper.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Borders
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beige Anemon
Beautiful Memories - Blue Labels
Forever Summer - Turquoise Bird

To make the frame in the center of my tag I took a chipboard frame and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then attached a resin heart and a chipboard heart to its center. After that I added a few fussy cut butterflies to enhance the frame.

I hope you enjoyed my blog post today and that I inspired you to also start making Inkido tags.

Romy's Example for the January Challenge

Hi Inkido fans! Happy Tuesday!

I'm really excited to share my very first Inkido project on the blog today. I simply couldn't wait to start using the Beautiful Memories collection and Agnieszka's January challenge was a great reason to put them to good use.

I was inspired by the blue and grey tones in the challenge mood board and choose papers in this colour combination for my lay-out.

I did lots of layering with papers and doilies in the left upper corner of my lay-out. I also cut out several butterflies from the papers and let them fly all over my lay-out. I attached Inkido rhinestones to the bodies of the butterflies as a nice finishing touch.

Inkido supplies:
Beautiful Memories - Blue Butterflies
Beautiful Memories - Beautiful Borders
Beautiful Memories - Blue Angels
Beautiful Memories - Blue Labels
Inkido Olive Green Rhinestones

Thank you so much for stopping by on the blog today!

Have a wonderful week!
