Wendy's choice this week and she chose "Fruit" as her topic and red and yellow as her colours.
I was really stuck, that was until a friend called and he has a totally different style of journalling, which I love, so he brought some of his journals for me to look through and the idea for my page was born. Total yellow coverage with a red border and some orange dots in the border - similar to what he does although I must say his execution is much neater than mine.
Wonder if anyone out there knows to whom I am referring - Chris - are you there? aside: "If she happens upon this page she will definitely know I am sure".
Well, I drew an orange to start off with (again my friend had made the suggestion as to the figures, not Dylusions) although I did think I could use these shapes for heads on a Dylusion body. Pity I am in a rush this week with going away on Saturday or I could do a second page with Dyan's bodies and fruity heads.
As you can see I had coloured my orange and my apple (no, it's not a tomato) with pencil crayons just for a change. I used my Prismacolor's but wish I had a larger selection of Polychromo's as they give far better coverage. I then just added stick legs and arms, gave the orange a bag to carry and put some words over the top. Corny I know but ...
Now to see what Wendy has done. Meanwhile I am off to get ready for my trip to Nijerk with my bestie - we are spending (money, sorry time) at a show and doing a bit of sightseeing as she has not seen Amsterdam and wants to have a gander!
