Round Robin over at Scraputante

I do enjoy Round Robins.
Over at Scraputante's Facebook I got to follow to fabulous ladies.
I got to use my favorite butterfly 3rd Eye stamps and some hex looking stamps from Close To My Heart they were called Honeycomb Flair.  I got to use a really cool overlay from Crate Paper and it really added to the butterfly pic. I was at my brother's birthday party and a butterfly landed on my mom's shoulder.  I was really pleased at the colors and how this turned out. Thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday

I'm trying new challenges.
Over at The Flying Unicorn they have Mojo Monday's.
I decided to do this cute pic of my coworker's nephew Carver. It's a joy to watch this little one grow up.

I used my Cameo to make the 2 Flourishes using my Paper Temptress "Lustre" collection of papers. There is also some Gina's Designs Chippie. I used my 3rd Eye Brick Wall stamp again and tucked in some Braid's as leaves.  Also the white vellum is from Paper Temptress as well. The background paper is from Heartfelt Creation's Timeless Amour Collection.  Here are a few closeups.

Zva Crystals I got from Scraputante's store. The flourish and  Vellum are from PAPER TEMPTRESS.

Renea's gorgeous butterflies
The Vellum peeking out under the butterfly is from Paper Temptress as well as the flourish.

Recipe challenge for Scraputante National Scrapbook Day

On the Friday before National Scrapbook Day I participated in a Recipe Challenge over with Scraputante.
This was a lot of fun.
Ms Kelly would post some ingredients and we had so many minutes before she would post the next set of instructions. Let me tell ya quilling is not for the faint of heart. It was the hardest part of the challenge. LOL. I think they turned out ok. Thank you Kelly for helping me strike out of my comfort zone.
We were to take pictures of each stage. It was so different  to only use what she said. LOL. This was a super fun challenge.

Here's the finished product.

Thank you Kelly for a fun time.
Sorry it took me a while to post.

Happy Scrappn.

Scraputante's Round Robin Group 2 Week 4

I am participating in the Round Robin over at Scraputante's!
This was fun!!!!!
Here's my take with a few closeups.
Thanks for checking it out.

Secret Garden

Ok I have to say .. now that I can make flowers with my new Heartfelt Creations dies... I had to make some more tonight..  Love them.

butterfly trails

some glitter glue on my pretty flowers

blue and yellow to match the one in my photos.

my cute little flowers from Heartfelt Creations

The butterfly I cut out on my Cameo. I used Tattered Blossoms die from Heartfelt Creations to make my flowers. I'm sure about curling up the ends.. I'm using my stylist. I have to be careful because the petals like to tear. yikes. My friend Shannon gave me some 3-D glitter glue and I have put them on my flowers.
Thanks Kelly for hosting a fun challenge.

Thanks for looking and Happy Scrappn!

Scraputante's Mixed Media Challenge

I thought this was way cool the way this challenge was set up. We were to use certain elements. I haven't painted in a long time so I did a quickie practice and gave it a whirl. I might get out my sheets and practice some of my flowers I like to paint. Can't wait to see the next challenge.
This is how it was laid for us:
Our First Challenge--I am including an inspiration piece (just to help you get started if you don't know where to begin) in addition to the quote, which is “I must have flowers, always, and always.” ― Claude Monet.

Required Elements--please use both
1) flowers (duh) :)
2) scrapbook paper

Mixed Media Elements--choose 3 out of five
1) ribbon
2) paint
3) mist
4) a button or buttons
5) a rub-on

You can use a blank (white or cream or black) 12x12, canvas or art journal page of 5x7 or larger for this piece.

I chose flowers and did use a flower made from scrapbook paper. I created this on an art journal page. I used a ribbon, a button, rubons and paint.

Painted the page with Black Gesso as a foundation.

3rd Eye -TES-087 BORDERS 2  with Art Anthology

Small rose from 3rd Eye

Ribbon stem

Different color of Art Anthology

Makes me want to drag out my paints and paint a bit more.

I got to use my Prima Foam Stamp that I won in a chat. How cool I love how easy it was to use and clean.  I chose to use my Metallic Distress Stains to make them shimmer off the black.

I love flowers and find them inspiring.. they are full of life and color and make me happy.

Supplies used:
Prima Foam Stamp
Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Stains 3 : Tarnished Brass, Brushed Pewter, Antiqued Bronze
Prima Buttons from Engraver Collection
3rd Eye stamps : Leaf small -TES-026S; Rose small -TES-020S; Borders 2 - TES-087
Folk Art Paints: Metallic Pure Gold, Regal Red, Sapphire
PowderPuff Chalk Inks : Tahiti, Pink Cheeks
Kaisercraft Rubon's: Charlotte's Dream
Art Anthology Dimensional Crystals: Guava, BlueBird

I had a good time, Thank you Kelly.
