My adventures at Flying Unicorn Camp
This year I had the awesome pleasure to attend The Flying Unicorn Camp down in Temple, Texas.
It was a blast!! I will posting about the various projects we did down there.
This is a canvas we did.. It now sits on my desk at work!! Thank you Alda for the awesome camp.
The Fabulous Lynne taught this class!!
We used Gesso on a lot of these parts.
I loved the sprays we used.

We used Archival Ink with the stamps.
The goody bag alone that we received at camp made my heart skip at beat!!! There was food a plenty. Laughter was a constant presence there at camp. I am so thankful I was able to go and rediscover my joy of crafting.
Happy Scrappn!

Mojo Monday
I'm trying new challenges.
Over at The Flying Unicorn they have Mojo Monday's.
I decided to do this cute pic of my coworker's nephew Carver. It's a joy to watch this little one grow up.
I used my Cameo to make the 2 Flourishes using my Paper Temptress "Lustre" collection of papers. There is also some Gina's Designs Chippie. I used my 3rd Eye Brick Wall stamp again and tucked in some Braid's as leaves. Also the white vellum is from Paper Temptress as well. The background paper is from Heartfelt Creation's Timeless Amour Collection. Here are a few closeups.
The Vellum peeking out under the butterfly is from Paper Temptress as well as the flourish.
The new sketch is already up.
and Random .org was choosing the winner.. and I found out.. I WON. whe whew.. I am soooooo glad I participated.
Thank you Uni's!

Tag Swap Time
Happy June.
Over at Scraps of Darkness we have a Tag Swap going.
This is for Ms. Karen. I've seen mine and cannot wait to get it!
I specifically created it with the challenge in mind going on at The Flying Unicorn.
Here are a few close ups:
The flourish peeking out under the keys cut from cardstock from PAPER TEMPTRESS.
The keys were on Heavenly white 80# cardstock from PAPER TEMPTRESS.
Here's the final pic of the completed tag:
I used several pieces of my papers from PAPER TEMPTRESS. In the top right corner is a flourish I cut using the Lustre paper. For the keys I used Heavenly White 80#, and for the leaves I used from the Basis Cardstock green. I embossed them with different types of powders.. I tried the Tim Holtz Embossing Puffs and it was ok... I like the black gloss look better.. it turned my paper some weird ashy look. I still love my CTMH embossing powders.. I have yet to find a better powder.

I used several of my 3rd Eye stamps: BRICK WALL TES-080 I used for the basis of my tag; For my leaves I used the BRAID stamp and cut it up TES-019; I was inspired by a post on the 3rd Eye blog which you can see here Click here; I used the KEY stamp TES-028; I loved stamping them in multiple colors; I stamped the Cogs 3 set on the outer portion of the little envelope TES-090. To check out all the amazing stamps available from 3rd Eye click here.
I used the following Distress Inks: Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Seedless preserves.
CTMH embossing powders and their ink Autumn Terracotta.
Thank you for dropping by.
