~Scraps of Darkness~ Ring Ring

Here's my entry into the Round Robin over at Scraps of Darkness. It's always so cool to see what the ladies come up with.
Here are some closeups:
Super cool blue butterfly..
Now if you notice above there is that super cool blue butterfly. Yes that came from Renea's Shop : My Glitter Coated Life. I used an older Martha Stewart Punch for around the edges and I used the SEPTEMBER KIT: PASSAGES from over at Scraps of Darkness.

Can you see my telephone?

Hey who says telephones have to be in the single digits. LOL.. and the wire.. is really a pink handle from a gift bag. Yep the gift bag tore and I was about to throw it away and then  I was like SURELLLLLLLLY I could use this for something so I went outside and sprayed with my WOOD STAIN SMOOCH that came with the SEPTEMBER KIT: PASSAGES. I think about used it all up though darn it! But hey Tim Holtz little tag/numbers came in handy and yep that round part is painted black and it was the bottom of a box.

gears .. surely there are some in a phone
Ok now aren't those some cool gears?? yep I won those as well from Renea which can be found in her really cute etsy shop : My Glitter Coated Life.  I have a few more gears I get to play with yipee!

paris anyone?
Now the big black frame well its acutally a cut out from the Cricut Cartridge Fancy Frames. and then when I saw the Teresa Collins World Traveler paper  I was like oh look .. that looks like my frame hahahah so I incorporated it.
Thanks for looking and if you want to check out a bit more edgier place steampunk/grunge then check out Scraps of Darkness.

~Scraps of Darkness~ Live Brightly

I'm using some more of my August Envy Kit from Scraps of Darkness. Just so much to choose from in these kits. Sometimes I just want to use everyone of the items... boy that would be interesting.
The picture is from the first day of my son's 7th grade. .. the house is empty and no one cares for the flowers.. I just thought they were so beautiful.

Here are the close up's:

Look at the exquisite pin Mandy makes that comes in our kits each month!

I love these posies from Kaisercraft and the white flower is from Tim Holtz

Gorgeous butterfly from Prima!

I hope you can see it. LOL.

I of course had to use my Cricut Cart Fancy Frames. I plan on using every single frame on that cart. Just a note of caution folks. LOL
Here are a list of products used:
Tim Holtz products : distress ink - Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Scissors, Accoutrements - fanciful
I did use a Martha Stewart Punch for the little green piece on the upper left side.
I used some of the Lindy Stamp Gang's products : the Royal Lapis Lazuli Mists, and the Cattail Copper Brown Mists, and the Magical Micas{Drink Me Silly collection}.
Pink Paislee - Mistables - Fuzzy Stickers
I also used some of my home made mists : Flamingo Pink, Misty Lavender, Turquoise which I sprayed on the frame and finished off with the Lindy Copper.
Prima Butterfly Kiss Moulin, Bella Notte, Col Aberdeern
Kasiercraft Posies -Chanteuse and the base paper.

Thank you for looking and I'm enjoying this kit.
Hope it's been a good day for you. I celebrate life today in memory of those victims. Never forget.

~Scraps of Darkness~ July Marrakesh Sketch Challenge "U"

Hooray I got my July challenge done! I think the monthly challenges run from like the 15th to the 15th.. for those that are saying hey It's August! LOL

This is another fave pic of my son.. and a rose. The two just go so well together. I'll put my close up first.

In this first close up  you see some embellishments that were in the kit.. and I put a little bling on the flowers from Kaiser Rhinestones "Split Pea". The embellishments were from Creative Imaginations  Marrakesh Paper Embellishments.

I used my good ole Tim Holtz Grungeboard Letters and put some Viva Decor Copper on the letter. I also used the  Coloringz Shimmers Paint  "Mama Sings the blues" along with the TH Distress Ink Black Soot to ink up the letter. Also you can see the Vintage embelli up there and I put more bling in the center. The felt looking fuzzy ribbon type also came in this month's kit.

More close ups of the Creative Imaginations Paper Embellishments with some Kaiser blin in the center. You can also see more of the Vintaj item there.

Now these were two different type of gorgeous flowers.. One set is from Prima Flower and the other is Petaloo. Personally the Petaloo adhered better to the page. Also you can see the frames there.. that I used from my new Cricut Cart.. Fancy Frames. I love it.

Focusing on some of the punch work and see the pretty yellow Prima flower.

The final product.  I also used the TH metal tag there .. a gift from Celina for winning a challenge!  The laser cut chipboard made an awesome frame!
Products I used and some were not in the July kit:
Creative Imaginations Marrakesh Paper and Embellishments
Marah Johnson
Laser Chipboard
Zip Dry
Prima Flowers "Dollhouse Collection Windy"
Petaloo - Tiffany's Treasures -- really liked these and want more
K & Company Elegance Rubon and Gems.. yep to the right on D's shoulder is the rub on.
Basic Grey Oxford - Fencing
Basic Grey Oxford - Rowing
Glue dots
Sticky Doos
TH tape.. it's holding down the frames
TH liquid pearls
Kaiser Rhinestones'  "Split Pea"
Viva Decor .. used on the U.. Copper
and Cricut Cartridge Fancy Frames
Thanks for looking and Happy Scrappn
