Hello Shaker card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to the inspiration for the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I thought this sketch lent itself well to a shaker and I hadn't made one in a while.

Here's the sketch:

I simply layered the die cut frame, acetate and foam tape on top of the textured purple card base.

I just love these Karen Burniston Backyard Charms.  They are perfect for the cluster.

Welcome, Baby Shaker card with Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge

Hello and welcome to my latest inspiration for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #334.  I made a welcome card for a baby.  I spent my time decorating with The Robyn's Nest drops, although they don't look that straight in the photos.

Here's the sketch from Atlantic Hearts challenge blog.

I created this card with the following steps:
  1. Cut a window with double stitched rectangle dies leaving a nice stitched window.
  2. Cut the patterned paper background 4.20" x 5.5", with just a little room inside for the fold.
  3. Layer acetate behind the window.
  4.  Layer foam around the inside edge, add confetti and adhered the patterned paper.
  5. Cut the sentiment with Cricut Maker and adhere across front of window.
  6. Arrange drops around outside edge of window.

A close up of the card.

Ingredients:
Our Daily Bread Designs double stitched rectangle die
The Robyn's Nest Tear Drops and Dew Drops
Cricut Signature Script font
acetate and various card stock and patterned paper
Zoo Baby confetti

Welcome!  I created a baby themed shaker card for this blog hop.  I began with the baby animal confetti. I used some swiss dot paper as my background.

I found the double stitched circle dies very nice for the shaker card.  It is very easy to produce a ring with both sides stitched.  It looks so finished!

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate 6x6 papers
Stampin Up Tag Talk stamp and Wild Wasabi ink
Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Circle Dies
baby animal confetti

4 Crafty Chicks Sunflower Challenge: Graphic 45 Pocket letter

Good morning, today is Thursday so it is time for a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I have loved being a guest designer this month and I am a lucky one...there are five Thursday's this month, so I will be bringing you one more final project next week.  This week's project is Sunflowers. This is my first pocket letter.  I watched some you tube tutorials and started cutting 2.5"x3.5".  I really like the idea of shaker pocket.  I used my fuse tool to seal the center pocket after adding sequins.

I purchased a pack of 25 sheets of this paper at Tuesday Morning, I mean who doesn't love sunflowers right? I thought I would use up all these pieces, I haven't yet but I made 2 of these letters.  They are pretty much identical which is why I could take a picture of the back and front at once.  I made these for a pocket letter swap.

I added some stickers, eyelets, wooden embellishments and brads to the back of the pockets.

I didn't do too much stamping on this set but I did add this happy little sentiment from Stampin Up.

Ingredients:
Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Enchanted Garden paper
Graphic 45 flourish stamp
Ranger black onyx ink
Stampin Up Badges and Banners stamps and punch
Stampin Up Summer Sun ink
Spellbinders Phrases One die
Creative Memories tag punch
Fiskars Butterfly punch
Jolee's, Mrs. Grossman's, and Momenta stickers and embellishments
Quick Quotes Midnight Confession chalking ink
black sheer ribbon
sequins
ginger tea

You're Fintastic: Fish bowl shaker card

Hello!  Alicia here today with a super fun card!  I loved creating this card.

I used a layer of acetate on the front and cut a circle out of the card base to allow for the shaker parts.  I popped up the metallic cut to create even more dimension.  While the plants and the castle are fixed to the base the fish are free with the bubbles to move around.

Birthday Shaker Card and more embossing folder challenge

This is one of those folders that I just wasn't sure I would be able to use.  Not sure where it came from maybe part of a two pack?  Any way I thought my swap partner might like it but then I challenged myself to make something with it, that is how the whole challenge myself turned into 11 cards!!  I must say I thought out of the box and found a lovely way to use this folder.

The sentiment didn't turn out quite as good as I hoped.  By the time you read this I will have my new MISTI and stamping issues will be a thing of the past!  YIPPEE!

Ingredients:
Skipping Stone Designs Sentiment
Sparkle and Sprinkle one of a kind embossing powder
fuse pocket
Sizzix embossing folder

My Favorite Things Camp Create Shaker Card Rock On!

Good morning!  For the next few post I will be showing my creations I did for the My Favorite Things Camp Create Challenges from last week.  All the challenges are still open until Thursday.  Below is a list of the 5 challenges.
I didn't start working on the challenges until the end of the week.  It was such a hectic week, it was refreshing to go into the craft room and play with these challenges.  I also like to collect badges!  I will say because I started on Friday, I started with Friday's post and worked backwards.  Therefore, I am doing the shaker card first.

Here's the cards I created for this challenge.  This is my first successful shaker card not using the fuse kit.  However, I did use the fuse pockets and my tool.

My husband pointed out the inaccuracy of this guitar.  It should have 6 strings.

Ingredients:
Die-versions Sweet Spot Rock On die
fuse tool and pocket
black and white card stock
sequins
misc purple guitar
detailed guitar Recollections

We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool HSN card kit

I promised my friend Sue at Sue's Crafts that I would post my experience with the We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool card kit from HSN.  She purchased the same kit.  She posted her cards  HERE.  I made about half as per the examples on the instruction sheet then after gaining some experience with the tool I ventured into my own designs.

Here's my entire set.

It took a minute to get used to the tool, but once you figure out the correct amount of pressure, you are pretty good to go.

These are my first shaker cards.  Of course, it is easier with the fuse paper.  I have yet to try it without the special paper.

I added some blue glitter to white and gold sequins in this shaker.

another view

This is one of my favorites.

My lines were a little wonky on some...this arrow didn't turn out as I had hoped.

I added my own pearl bling to several of the cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Are you ready to build a SNOWMAN? Let it go!!

Today I have for you a SHAKER layout!  This is not what I had in mind when I started this project, but I was using this beautiful acetate overlay and everyone is doing shaker cards, so I thought why not???  I hope you enjoy!  And if you are a movie buff you may recognize this building...it is featured in the Jodie Foster movie Little Man Tate which was filmed in my neighborhood.  This is the school where he was playing on the playground.  It was the Fairview German Language school up until just about 7 years ago and now it has been converted into upscale condos.  The picture was sprayed with Radiant Rain Ice to give it more of a frozen feel.

I used my Cricut and a CTMH cart for the title.

The "shake" are punches, Creative Memories and Fiskars punched out of shimmer paper and some left over sequins from the sequin ribbon along the edge.  Along with some clear seed beads,  I also threw in just a bit of Distress glitter.

Ingredients:
TPC Christmas Treasures Acetate Trees overlay
7 Gypsies Primrose
Radiant Rain Ice
CTMH Artbooking Cricut cart
Heidi Swapp clear snowflake stickers
Tim Holtz Distress glitter
CM & Fiskars punches
Michael's sequin ribbon
shimmer cardstock
seed beads

Up next is the lovely and talented Lori

The cold never bothered us anyway!
