Creative Memories Winter Coffee Drink Card

Welcome today!  I whipped together this card from a couple of different challenge blog inspirations.  It's been a rare moment that I have had to create for specific challenges.  I am apprecitive I had the time.

First up, the sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday. It is past the deadline for this challenge, however, I don't know this card would have qualified since I didn't stamp.  I did think this sketch was pretty unique with it's curves.

Here's another look.  You can see where I popped the frappe up on pop dots as to jump out of the frame.

Here is my color inspiration from Cupcake Inspirations.  When I saw this I knew imediately I had to dig out my Creative Memories Bountiful papers.  I found a few scraps at a local creative reuse store recently and have been meaning to marry those scraps to my fall paper container where I keep my own scraps of this paper pack and the coordinating stickers.  The scraps I found had several sticker sheet of which I was out. I was very pleased with that haul from Scrap it Up.

Ingredients:
Creative Memories Bountiful 8x8 paper
Creative Memories circle cutter
Divinity Designs Double Stitched Rectangles
Cricut cut Frappe #M3CA85
misc card stock and papers
Colorbox Cat's Eye ink Chestnut Roan

Cricut Crow with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog today.  I have my take on the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I wanted to make my first Halloween card of the season with a bit of a non traditional color.  I threw in some pink! It began with the cheek of the crow which I carried over to the collar and banner.  I found some perfect purple, orange and pink dotted paper.

Here's the sketch

I cut my crow with my Cricut.  I stamped the sentiment.

Ingredients:

Cricut Kawaii Halloween Witches:  Crow in Witch Hat
Echo Park Witches & Wizards No. 2 Stamp Set: Believe in Magic
Kindred Stamps Sentiment Strip dies
misc papers from my stash

Stampin Up 3 Cheers for you! for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Welcome to my blog today and my lastest design team project for Atlantic Hearts sketch challenge.  I have a card where I upcycle several elements.  Besides upcycling, I already had the Cricut cut in my stash.  And, I found this great tag in my tag stash. I think it really works.

Here is the sketch:

I tag was hard plastic. I also had the negative die cut I used for the frame. I used two beverage themed Stampin Up stamp sets.

The bling is also reused vintage sequin/beads from a creative reuse store.

Here's a side view.  You can really see the dimension of the tag and beads here.

Ingredients:
Upcycle tag
Cricut cut drink
Frantic Stamper double stitched die
Stampin Up Beverage Cart and Happy Hour
Colorbox Black ink
Judikins Black detail embossing power
Distress Oxide inks and shimmer spray (frame)
vintage sequin/beads
misc papers

Dreaming Tree German Bus Box for Bitten by the Bug 2 and Double Trouble Colab

Welcome to my inspiration for the last Bitten by the Bug 2's Layer up!  While Double Trouble Challenge has some twist you can find the details from the above link. I went with lots of layers but left out the cozy and cuddly.  I used a variety of materials to create another Dreaming Tree German Bus.

This one was a commission piece for a coworkers daughter.  Her daughter's room is butterflies.

Each part of the box begins with twelve pieces.  I used glue, time and patience to adhere each layer to create the box.

Then, I layered this box up with a sturdy card stock first.  Second a beautiful glossy embossed butterfly paper.  Third some metallic silver details and acetate windows.  Finally, gems to accent.

The back side.

As I said this box is sturdy and has a few layers in the bottom including decorative butterfly paper.

Ingredients:
 g.c.d./Melody Ross~Artsy.Urban butterfly paper
DCWV card stock
metallic paper
acetate
gems

Happy Halloween! Any Holiday at Bitten by the Bug 2

Hello and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge:  Any Holiday!  I know a lot of folks may still have some Christmas cards to post, some may be working ahead on 2022 holidays and some like me may have some leftover 2021 projects.

I copied the spider and web elements and cut them multiple times to add to the front of the card and more.  Frankly, I don't know where the "elements" were positioned on the original card.  I sprinkled them all around.  I just loved the webs in the iridescent paper.

My husband thought I should have layered paper behind the sentiment to make is stand out more.  I liked keeping the colors simple.

Ingredients:
Close to my Heart Artfully Sent Happy Halloween Pop Up Card
Stampin Up Goulish Goodies sentiment stamp on front
Colorbox Black pigment ink and Judikins Clear Detail embossing powder
Stampin Up Pretty Label punch
shimmer and iridescent papers

Cricut Ornament Card Peaceful Wishes for Bitten by the Bug 2

Hello and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge: Christmas or Hanukkah Ornaments.  I went with a unique combination of pink, white and gold for my ornament.  I used the same papers for the rest of the card.  I stamped and embossed my sentiment in gold.

I did use a different gold, this paper is embossed foil saving me a step in adding interest to the card.  I manually die cut the circle the ornament is layered on.  I used pop dots underneath the circle to clear the bulky ribbon.

The real star is the embellished ribbon.  I really don't know how to describe it.  It's on a spool but more metallic than fiber ribbon.

Ingredients:
Cricut ornament image
Stampin Up Peaceful Wishes stamp
Colorbox Gold pigment ink
Tutti Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circle die
Judikins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
misc papers from my stash: foil, shimmer and embossed
gold embellished ribbon
chalking ink

Creative Memories Enchanted Power Palette Fun & Games Layout for Bitten by the Bug 2

Hello and welcome to the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's Fun & Games challenge.  I made a scrapbook layout using Cricut Access Chess images and Creative Memories Enchanted papers and stickers.  The photos are from 2018 at a Jamaican resort Jewel Paradise Cove.  The giant chess set was just below our ocean view room.

I used a current sketch at Sketches in Thyme Week Two sketch:

Here is a close up on the title.  I cut the circle with the Creative Memories Cutting System's extra large circle, inside with the green blade.  I free handed the banners using the paper's own design.

I added fallen chess pieces to each banner.  I added the large cut in the bottom corner in place of the second circle.

A close up of the cuts.  In Cricut Design Space I contoured the images to add a solid background.  I like the white on the background but I had to add at least one black piece.  It is much harder to see the detail outline when it is black on black but it's there!

Ingredients:
Cricut Access Chess Images
Creative Memories Enchanted Power Palette
black shimmer paper
white card stock

Family layout for Bitten by the Bug 2

Welcome to Bitten by the Bug 2's Heritage or Family challenge .  I decided to scrap some photos from my grandmother's 90th birthday a few years ago.  It was a huge family event and a great photo opportunity.  Sadly my grandmother passed that same year.

I used this sketch from Stick It Down.  It was the perfect way to scrap a lot of photos from this event.

I cut the banner and title with my Cricut.

My cluster consist of pieces of K & Co paper and wood embellishments, Petaloo flowers and Recollections bling flourish.

Here is a closer look at the second page.  I have a few relatives that prefer to stay out of social media so I put some stickies over their photos.

Ingredients:
Cricut Access Banner
Cricut Tis the Season Family title
Basic Grey Motifica Stucco Pattern paper and tag
Coredinations The Chocolate Box card stock
DCWV gold card stock
K & Co Life's Journey Stamp Collage embossed paper

Something to Crow About: Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge

Welcome to my inspiration for the latest Bitten by the Bug 2's challenge Something to Crow About.  There's eleven layers to this project.  I cut them from various papers. The outer frame is a black shimmer paper.  The bottom (white moon) is white paper sprayed with shimmer paper.  The cloudy sky is a grey vellum.  The example in CDS was all black and white but I added a little color with the deep purple night sky.

I did mean to add a gem to the eye of the crow but forgot while finishing up.  I also left a stray piece of paper on the front of the crow.

The cuts were super easy to make.  The vellum did throw a little fit with the little scrolls in the corners.  I was able to salvage what I needed for the clouds.  I just snipped away the incomplete scroll cut areas of the vellum.

Ingredients:
Misc papers including shimmer and vellum from Bazzill, American Craft and the Paper Studio
Tattered Angels shimmer spray
black ink
