Brother & Sister Layout with Stick it Down single page sketch

Hello and welcome to today's post.  Every year I scrap pages to add to my in-laws' scrapbook I gifted them.  This time around they need a new album as well.  I created more than a dozen new pages and here is one.  I took these photos from a professional photo session they had of their children. I have no idea where the photos were taken but there were just a few with this old brick house background.  This sketch from Stick it Down was perfect to highlight the one large photo.

Here is the sketch.

The heart flourish was one piece from Zva Creative.

I cut a larger pearl flourish into a few pieces and strategically places it among the EZ Laser die cut.  I added the Recollections pearl bling in the swirls of the die cut.

Ingredients:
Momenta card stock
Park Lane Paperie Prairie Primrose stack
EZ Laser Design die cut flourish frame
Zva Creative self adhesive pearl
Recollections Bling stickers

Tim Holtz Fortune telling card

The holiday is getting closer, Halloween is my favorite time of the year.  This card starts with a small tag I made in a group.  You can see my large tags herehere and .  This one begins with the same black soot and purple hued distress oxide inks.  I stenciled with texture paste the skulls.  Since this tag was small enough I decided to add it to an A2 card.  I used my brand new Recollections Green Witch paper stack as background paper.  I added all of this to a black shimmer card base.

The embellishments I used here are so much fun!  Most are Tim Holtz that I also purchased recently.  However, the bingo markers are a reclaimed thrift store purchase.

I am not sure of the origin of the hand but it works great here.  I added plenty of pearls and bling.

Ingredients:
Distress Oxide inks: Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Black Soot maybe Seedless Preserves
Distress ink Black Soot
Skull stencils
texture paste
Perfect Pearls and Pearl Ex Interference Blue and various colors in texture paste
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Creepy Eyes. Halloween Ephemera and Snippets
manila tag
fiber
Shimmer spray ink
gems and pearls
misc embellishments, bingo marker, hand
Recollections Green Witch paper
black shimmer card base

I like the way you roll...Atlantic Hearts sketch inspiration

Good morning!  It's time again for new sketch inspiration over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I had sushi twice in the past week and it reminded me that I have never ever used my sushi stamps!  I loved them and wanted them so bad...I no longer shop that way instead I am focusing on using up my stash.  I also used the floral washi tape for the first time.

Here's the sketch:

I hope you enjoy seeing me use my stash as opposed to the latest and greatest.  I also pulled out my alcohol markers on which I have invested a lot of money.  More power to spending less and using more!

This is Living: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

It's time for new inspiration for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  This is another card where everything was lying around my desk.  I purchased some scrap planner pieces from my favorite little store.  If you are in the greater Cincinnati area, you should check out Indigo Hippo.  It's an thrift store for art supplies. The prices are suggested but you pay what you can.  It is a great place to try a new things!  I try to visit about once a week.  Donations come in weekly, so inventory is constantly changing.  I recognized these papers and embellishments from a Recollections collection a few years ago.  I have some matching stamps but found everything I needed for my card on my desk save the strip of washi tape I chose for my dividing strip.

Here's this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge:

A close up of the sentiment embellishment.  I stacked on top of a die cut scrap of white paper.

Ingredients:
Recollections supplies

Enjoy Life...stenciling with Quick Quotes Powderpuff Chalking inks

Hello, Alicia with you today,  I am attempting to finish my wedding album before my five year anniversary.  I have been scrapping at a mad pace.  Here I have used the new Spring Showers 102 paper as the background.  I added scraps of 49 Shades of Grey papers to create a simple but elegant layout.

The key to the elegant aspect is the delicate stenciling on the background paper with Midnight Confessions Powderpuff Chalking ink.   I did not ink generously as I usually do but sparingly to give a really light distressed print.

Here is another look at my focal points.  The photo is a 5x7 and the strips are twelve inches long.  I added a strip of silver fiber to the edge of the paper to dress it up.  The silver also accented the silver beading along the edge of the flowers. Finally, I sprinkled some pearls throughout the layout.
