I am SO LUCKY to be on Emma's design team. She is just the sweetest and so great to work with! Emma I hope your birthday is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!! You deserve a wonderful day!

I have two quick cards to share with you today.

I used my Silhouette Cameo for this one. The ice cream cone is from Miss Kate's Cuttables and is called Happy Ice Cream Cone. The cute card shape is a freebie from SVG Cuts called Scalloped Squares. I used the More Chocolate Greetings for the sentiment and the little banner die it is on is from the original Chocolate Greetings stamp set both by My Creative Time. The ice cream cone's face is from the Snow Cuties face assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

My second card is a very simple birthday card.

For this card I used Emma's new It's All About You stamp set for the sentiment and the little green arrow/chevron type design. Other than that I did some inking with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I cut a couple of strips of paper.

Okay, I won't keep you I will just fill you in on a few fun blog hop/prize details and send you on your way.

Hope You Have a Turtley Tubular Birthday!

Hi and welcome to my Wobble Wednesday post. I made this card a while ago and gave you a glimpse at it but here is a more detailed look at my turtle card from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog Hop.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This awesome turtle is also from the Create a Critter cartridge. I cut him at 2". The sentiment for this card come from the June 2012 Stamp Kit of the Month by Peachy Keen Stamp, I just masked parts of a few sentiments to make just what I wanted. This sweet little face came from the Snow Cuties stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. All of the papers are Core'dinations. I embossed the brown background with the Herringbone CuttleBug embossing folder and sanded it with the Core'dinations Sander. This cute turtle is on an Action Wobble too. I inked all of the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen.

I hope you will join in the Wobble Wednesday Challenge if you get a chance. The challenge is to use the colors green & brown.

Have a Turtley Tubular day! Hugs- Glora

Bee-utiful Birthday Wishes

Here is another card, in detail, from the Peachy Keen Stamps and Core'dinations Blog Hop.

The card base comes from the Create a Critter cartridge sized at 4.25 x 5.5". The background rectangle was hand cut at 3.5" x 4.75". This bee came from the Create a Critter cartridge and I cut her at 3.75". The sentiment for this card come from the Peachy Keen Stamp set called Bee Happy. Her darling face comes from the Snow Cuties face assortment. I used some Stickles and rhinestones to sparkle her up. All of the papers are Core'dinations and I used the Core'dinations sander on my embossed background. I used the Bloom Dot Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the background. All of the edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and I also did a lot of faux stitching with my Sakura GellyRoll Pen. The bee is also on an Action Wobble which makes it fun and interactive too.

Core'dinations and Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop Day 2

Hello and welcome to the Core'dinations and Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop. If you came here from Lydia's blog you are in the right spot, if not make sure to start back at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog so you can get the full hop in.

I was excited to participate in this hop because I love both Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock and Peachy Keen Stamps. In fact so much so that I got a little carried away and made a gift box filled with 6 birthday cards. Every piece of paper on this post is by Core'dinations and there are lots of Peachy Keen Stamps and sentiments all over on here too.

This is the gift box:

Aren't those cupcakes sweet? I paper pieced them and they are from the April 2012 SKOTM. The sentiment is from the With a Cherry on Top stamp set and the faces are the 1 1/8" Cherub Faces by Peachy Keen Stamps. I added some Stickles and some hemp from Liz's Paper Loft Boutique and all of the paper is by Core'dinations (some of the paper is pre-embossed polka dot paper in a small and large polka dot, it is SO pretty).

Here is a different angle on the box:

When you open up the box there are 6 A2 (4.25"x 5.5") sized birthday cards and envelopes.

I'm not going to go into detail on each of these cards except to tell you which Peachy Keen stamp sets I used. I don't want to keep you too long. However, over the next few weeks I will be occasionally showing one of these cards and giving you the full details as to cartridges, embossing folders, stamps and other supplies used.

For the bee I used Snow Cuties for the face and Bee Happy for the sentiment.
I used the June 2012 SKOTM for the sentiment on the bird card and the bird's eye is from the Baby Animal Faces.

For the bear card I used the Here Kitty Kitty faces and the sentiment is from the Fairy Miny Set stamp set.
For the alligator I used a sentiment from the June 2012 SKOTM and the face is from the Funshine Faces Side Views.

The sentiments on both of these comes from the June 2012 SKOTM. The frog face is from the Baby Animal Faces stamp set and the turtle face is from the Snow Cuties stamp set.

I am the last stop on the hop and I hope you have had fun. Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter drawing at Peachy Keen Stamps and the Core'dinations blog for a chance to win one of these awesome prizes, you have until Sunday, June 10th at 11:59 pm (EST) to enter for these prizes:

Have a terrific day! Hugs- Glora

Simply Crafts Challenge for March

Hi and welcome to another Simply Crafts Challenge. It is the first Wednesday of the month so this is the day that Pam and I choose a Cricut cut to make a project with. I chose the cut this month and it is the kite from the Create a Critter cartridge (it is on the same key as the giraffe). The past several months we have let you all join in the fun. If you would like to check out the details of this month's challenge and play along click HERE.

I made a long card to fit inside a business size envelope. I cut 3 of the sweet little kites (using beautiful paper my friend gave me by Doodlebug Designs). I added twine for the tails of the kites. The cute little faces are all from the Snow Cuties stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps. The darling sentiments come form two different stamp sets by My Creative Time. The top sentiment comes from Emma's Color Me Happy stamp set and the bottom one is from her most recent release Hello Spring. The tiny little butterflies are made with a paper punch, by EK Success, that I've had for years.

Don't forget to drop by Pam's blog to see the details for her kite project. Click HERE to go to her blog. And if this sounds like a fun challenge and you want to join in hop on over to the Simply Crafts Challenge blog HERE. Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs- Glora

MCT February Release Sneak Peek Day #2

Hi and welcome to day 2 of sneak peeks from My Creative Time's newest stamp release. Today we are showcasing a couple of background stamps called Spring Chicken. These are darling. The background that I used is really chicken wire but I thought it also looked a lot like honeycomb so I made a 3.25" note card using the chicken wire/honeycomb background.

To get the pretty glossy (honey) finish on the background stamp I inked it with watermark ink and then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I ALWAYS love how clear embossing powder looks on a background stamp! The sweet little sentiment and tag are from Emma's January release and are called Teeny Tag Greetings. The cute little bee is from Create a Critter and stamped with the Snow Cuties face by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Peachy Keen Challenge using Toilet Paper Rolls

Hello friends, today is the start of another Peachy Keen Challenge.

Here is the CHALLENGE
This is another fun idea from Raven! Create ANY project of your choice using an empty toilet paper roll. Need ideas? Take a peek at the designer's inspiration over on the challenge blog HERE!
They will be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
  • Design must be new
  • Link up by 2/8 - 11:59 pm CDT

Show us what you can do with an empty toilet paper roll!

Here is what I made with 3 toilet paper rolls:

This was not my original idea so I don't want to take credit for it. I was looking on Google to get ideas for using toilet paper rolls and saw that someone had made these simple little flowers of them. I imagined them with darling little Peachy Keen Faces and knew that was what I had to make. I also have seen a good crafty friend of mine, Cassandra, make LOTS of beautiful centerpieces and so she was the inspiration behind finding a cute container and foam to put these toilet paper roll flowers in. Since making this particular project Cassandra also has made a DARLING Peachy Keen flower arrangement (using 3 flowers and 2 of the same faces I had - I could hardly believe). Hers is way CUTER so you will definitely want to check it out HERE.

Now onto the details of how to make these flowers if you are interested.

Take you empty toilet paper roll and cut small slits in it going almost to the middle and all the way around the toilet paper roll, then turn to the other side and do the same thing. You will want to leave about a 1/4" in the middle so you can put a pick, pen or pencil through them. Your toilet paper roll should look like this:

Next, you will want to fan out your pieces pressing them in towards the center to get your fun flower shape. You will also want to paint them. For mine I painted them with red paint and then I sprayed them with glimmer mist.

While the flowers were drying I worked on the face part of the flowers. I cut circles out at 2" and then I stamped them with some of my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps. For each of these I used the biggest face in the assortment packs. I used the following sets: Winter Wonderland, Happy Lashes and Snow Cuties. I also added chalk for the cheeks, colored in the mouths and dotted around the edges.

Once the flowers were dry I punched a hole in the middle and added pencils. I wrapped the pencils in green pipe cleaners and added a pipe cleaner leaf. Next I glued the circle faces to the front and plain circles to the back so that both sides look nice. I arranged them in a block of floral foam which I placed in a felt basket and then added some paper flowers in to cover the floral foam. I think I need to add a pretty ribbon to the front and I will probably change out the filler but other than that I'm super HAPPY to have these bright and happy flowers smiling at me each day.

I hope you will join in this fun challenge. I can't wait to see what you all come up with :). Make sure to drop over to the PKS challenge blog to see the awesome inspiration that the designers have for you. And have a wonderful day! Hugs- Glora

Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer - Day 2

Hello friends, welcome to day 2 of my Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week. Today is the beginning of a new sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog and I am BEYOND thrilled to be designing along with the Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team. They are so talented, incredibly sweet and wonderful ladies. I am happy to say that I draw much inspiration from each of them and consider them dear friends!

For this sketch challenge there is a twist and that twist is to use BUTTONS somewhere on your project. Sticking with my 'Back to School' theme, I made an altered notebook for my daughter. This will be her 'School Journal' where she can practice her spelling words, write stories, draw pictures, etc.

Here is the beautiful sketch we are working with for this challenge! Don't forget to use BUTTONS when you join in the fun!

Here are a couple of closeups so you can see the details a little better.

Aren't these apples buttons ADORABLE? I fell in love with them and yes, I even stamped one of them with a Simple Sallies face.

I used the Snow Cuties Face for the girl's darling face, I used Simple Sallies for the face on the one little apple and I used the Extra Small Polka Dots for the polka dot print on my girl's shirt (I heat embossed it). All of these beautiful stamps are in the Peachy Keen store.

I also used Emma's My Teacher Rocks! stamp set for both the little note in the girl's hand as well as the homework list on the chalk board. And last, but not least I used the beautiful Woodgrain background stamp from Market Street Stamps for the wood grain on the chalkboard. All of these stamps are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps and they are the best quality! I LOVE them!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!!! I appreciate all of you taking the time to support and encourage me. I hope that I do a little of the same in return. Have a wonderful day! HUGS- Glora

The Blog Candy for this week, which was generously donated by Peachy Keen Stamps, is the new Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.

If you leave a comment here and on the Peachy Keen Stamps Home page each day this week, you will have up to 10 chances to win these adorable stamps. I will be drawing the winner on Saturday, August 27th. Best of luck!
