Market Street Stamps - Block Party

Hi friends, it has been a busy weekend, but I just had to squeeze in the new Market Street Stamps Block Party. You have through Sunday to break out your Market Street Stamps and join in the fun!

I had lots of fun with this. I used my brand new 'Blast Off' stamp set that I won from the sweet DoBea Alberts. I colored with my Copics (don't judge too harshly, I'm still learning, but I like how it turned out, so I guess that is what matters). I cut the world from the locker talk cartridge on white. Then I colored the land with copics and inked the edges. For the ocean parts I inked it up to give it some varying colors. I had WAY too much fun with this. Oh yes and I got a little stamp happy with those darling stars, but I'm still lovin' it. I stamped a birthday sentiment on the inside and gave it to my nephew for his birthday today.

And don't forget to join me in just a couple of hours for a very special BLOG HOP!!!! Hugs- Glora

Items Used:

Locker Talk Cricut cartridge
Market Street Stamps - Blast Off
Copic Markers
Inks
Kaliedacolor ink (sentiment, stars)

Let's Face it Friday - Old School

Last weekend my husband was helping me come up with things that happened the year we graduated, for the Let's Face it Friday Challenge. It ended up being quite a list but in the end my favorite was the move from DOS to Windows. I finally got around to getting it put together and my project is a VERY happy little laptop that has converted from DOS to Windows. I hope you like it.

The cute face is Boy Mates from Peachy Keen. The darling sentiment is from Wow! So Many Candles by Emma at My Creative Time. And last but not least that super fun background is called Grungy Border by Market Street Stamps. Have a fabulous day and I will see you back here tomorrow evening for the Whimsical Wednesday Blog Hop! Hugs- Glora

Let's Face It Friday - Organize It

I absolutely LOVE to see organizational ideas and if you are like me and want to see some AMAZING and super cute ideas go and check out the design team projects and submissions for the Let's Face It Friday challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

For my project I wanted to make something fun and interactive for my daughter to keep up on her 'school' skills in the summer. She LOVES this so I think it will help out a lot. Last year we didn't use any charts but we did find out that if we did her reading and stuff first thing in the morning then we would remember to get it done. Otherwise the day would get busy with fun summer activities and this summer learning would get pushed aside. This chart should help too since each day each item will start up in the 'TO DO' box and then she can move them down to the 'COMPLETED' box as she finishes up each item. This chart is approximately 6" x 11"

(If you would like to see the details closer you can always click on the photo).

I made the background using Microsoft Excel. I'm an accountant so I am a bit of a spreadsheet nerd. Then I printed my spreadsheet on some super cute paper from DCWV's Mod-Retro Stack. I stamped a darling little heart from Emma's stamp set My One and Only in the corner. I cut the pieces for my project from various cartridges at about 2" each.

This cute little book is from the Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge. I stamped it with a My Creative Time stamp from the set called 'My Teacher Rocks,' and I also used the adorable Peachy Keen stamp set called 'Happy Lashes'.

This cute little pencil came from the Locker Talk Cricut cartridge. I stamped his cute face with a Simple Simon face stamp by PKS.

I made the little chalkboard myself. I used the super cute Woodgrain background stamp by Market Street Stamps. For the cute face I white embossed a darling Simple Sally face and for the numbers I welded them together using my Gypsy and the Pooh Font cartridge.

And for this cute little kitty, I used Create-a-Critter for the cat and Pooh Font for the letters. The adorable face is a Critter face stamp from Peachy Keen stamps.

I laminated everything so they will SURVIVE the summer. I have my own personal laminator that I use for lots of little things for my children. I seriously LOVE it. Then I attached everything with Velcro.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my project today. Hugs- Glora

Let's STICK Together!

Emma at My Creative Time is having a Back to School challenge. You are encouraged to use the Paisley cartridge if you have it. I ordered mine two weeks ago and still haven't got it, so I used Locker Talk instead. I wanted to make some little cards to write notes of encouragement in. Then I will occasionally tuck one into my little girl's sack lunches. I hope they will be a fun surprise for her. I used Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies for the faces.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 33

This Peachy Keen challenge is a sketch challenge. It is an awesome sketch. I loved it at first sight, but I just wasn't getting any creative inspiration on what to do. Today an idea finally hit me and I RAN with it. My daughter loves to draw pictures and write stories. I made a cover for a composition note book. This way she has a book to draw in and write about her school memories this year. I really like how it turned out and my daughter LOVES it. (If you want to see any of the details better you can always click on the pictures).

This is the sketch we had to work with, isn't it cute? I can see myself using this a lot!

I used the following items for this project: Create a Critter for the apple and the worms, Locker Talk for the words Back to School, I made the chalk board myself, I used Peachy Keen Stamps Simple Sallies for all of the super CUTE faces. Then I added some ribbon, bows, a little bling and some white dotting with my Gelly Roll pen.

Here is a close up of the apple and worms. Enjoy!
