More poll silliness

Democrats are clinging to another poll putting their candidates in front for now.
Registered voters. Weak.
Democrats 31%
Republicans 26%. Weaker.
Those numbers in a state with Republicans in charge of the executive, House and tied in the Senate.
If Democrats were as strong as this poll says, why have they been drubbed so badly in 2009 and 2011?

Rush's favorite pollster?

It seems every other day, Rush Limbaugh notes a poll from Public Policy Polling.
He always makes sure to say they have a Democratic bias, but he mentions them an awful lot.
btw, PPP is polling on what Congressional race to poll this weekend. Virginia's 5th District, now held by Tom Perriello, is among the candidates. It needs a few more votes to surpass Texas and get the attention.

PPP explains itself

Public Policy Polling will be out with its poll on New York's 23rd District shortly, and seems to be trying to explain why Doug Hoffman will lead so much in its poll.
Actually, it's three polls in one.
1. Three candidate field (Saturday morning)
2. Two candidate field (Saturday evening and Sunday morning)
3. Two candidate field with one endorsed by departed candidate (Sunday afternoon)
No, I'm not staying up until 1 a.m. or so to see the latest Virginia results. They'll still be the same at 6 a.m.

PPP at the PP

The Watertown Daily Times' Jude Seymour, fresh off enjoying Notre Dame's win Saturday night, finds another combination of politics and sports - Public Policy Polling at the Philadelphia Phillies' game.
Nice for them to see their first World Series game. Just don't delay our polling results too much.
UPDATE: I hate when I misread something. Jude was going to the World Series, not PPP. Guess some things are more important than special elections.

Polling season

There's 14 days until Election Day. Will there be a new poll each day?
Monday evening, WVEC, Virginian Pilot and Christopher Newport University released a poll.
Tuesday morning, Clarus Research Group released a poll.
Public Policy Polling will have a poll Wednesday, and plans two more polls before the Election.
That doesn't count Rasmussen Reports, SurveyUSA, Mason-Dixon, Daily Kos and the Washington Post (expect them Nov. 1). Insider Advantage did a poll in September, will they return to the action?
I've been collecting polls at StrictlyVa to compare them and save for future reference.
