Easy, breezy, way-to-stay-cool summer whites. I'm shy about wearing white thanks to my two dogs and their dirty paws (not to mention my propensity to be a messy eater, especially when wearing white) but if you can manage to keep it clean, what's better than a white sundress on a hot summer day?

Other summer colors I'm loving this year: ruby red grapefruit and spearmint.

Summer Color: Spearmint

Spearmint? I don't know. This color is a bit darker than mint, not as soft as sea foam but not as dark as jade. Spearmint sounded much better than "another shade of green" so there you go. Whatever you call it, but I'm loving this shade for summer. And do you know what color this green pairs so well with? Ruby Red grapefruit. Oh yeah.

I'm loving the casual cool vibe of Portland based apparel line, Bridge & Burn. Their summer line consists of pieces I could wear, no problem, every.single.day. Mmmmmm, juicy, ruby red grapefruit. Just the color palette I was seeking to brighten things up around here.

Under $100: Colorful flats for Spring

It seems like the older I get, the drabber my closet gets in terms of color (why is that?!). Bright flats are an easy way to pep up a neutral wardrobe and all of these options are under $100 so why stop at just one pair? #7 and #13 are my favorites and #1 would be perfect to have around for rainy days. Bags & Pouches by Júlia Marco

The Spring/Summer 2013 textile collection by Valencia based designer and illustrator Júlia Marco combines so many of my favorite things: totes, pouches and, of course, triangles. Oh, and 100% organic cotton and leather. I like those things too. The bags are reasonably priced at 38 euros for the totes and 16 euros for the pouches with shipping available to the U.S. What's not to love here? Check out Júlia's shop to purchase. Happy Monday!

Have you seen visited the new Kate Spade Saturday online shop yet? I've been looking forward to this more affordable line for some time now and goodness knows there's been a lot of hype about it online. And for good reason, if I don't say so myself! As you can tell, I'm quite smitten with this bright, abstract pattern that's available on everything form skinny jeans to an iphone case, pillow cover and even sneakers. There are plenty of stripes and solids available to. So much goodness over at Saturday. Have a very happy weekend!

So many holiday dress options for under $100 (ok, I cheated on #1 since that's technically not under $100 but let's not split hairs) so the questions remains, what will I be wearing this holiday season? I like the quirky patterns on #4 and #9 but the classic looks of #3 and #8 are also appealing. Hmmmm. What do you think? See anything you like?

Not only are knit caps totally functional and a must-have when walking the dogs in cold weather, but they also make great gifts. #1 is my personal favorite and #3 would make a nice, luxurious gift. Which do you like? Would you give a knit hat as a gift?

Fall Must Haves #2

My fall essentials this year are kind of random, as you can tell from the fall shopping post, but I am in need of a few things this year including:

1) lightweight circle scarves. So versatile and easy to wear. I like the Sydney Scarf ($28) in mauve. Also available in grey.
2) I'm definitely liking suede booties for fall. I saw the MacAlister wedge boot ($198) at Jcrew this weekend and they're even prettier in person (I had to walk away or I would've been suckered into trying them on). The Zipcode boot ($198) in red is another fave.
3) These affordable, basic, essential belts ($40) by Everlane come in a variety of colors and are the perfect width to wear with jeans or a dress.

Under $100: Two Fall Must-Haves

We've yet to take our summer beach trip (that's going to happen in September, yay!) so I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that fall is right around the corner. Two items that are definitely on my fall shopping list are comfy sweaters with elbow patches and colorful cords. Thus far, these are my favorite options for under $100. Ombré tees in three different styles. My favorite is the tank. I don't actually own any ombré that I can think of, but I'd be willing to give it a whirl with one of these.

Landscape Pouches

I think these landscape pouches by Mexican designer Sara Beltrán are perfectly off beat and pretty rad. They're available in her shop - Shop Dezso ($65). I never thought I'd feature an accessory with flamingos on it, but alas, there's always an exception to the rule and I've gotta say, I love those flamingos!
