Best Wishes

I just love this image from Ping Gem (no longer trading) which I have coloured with promarkers.  The paper must be 11yrs old if it's a day and was from the friend who started me blogging.  The fabric flowers have brad centres and although it looks brown in the photo, the recycled ribbon is actually the same colour as the flowers.  A stamped sentiment finishes the card.

Christmas Decoration

Here is a Christmas decoration I have made from a thick piece of cardboard tubing using a pre-coloured dig stamp from Pink Gem.  I added glitter to the image.  I die cut a scalloped circle for the back and attached it to the tubing.  I then attached white glitter washi tape to the inside of the tubing before placing my image inside.  Once placed I added a few sequins for the shaker effect before adding a circle of acetate followed by a circular scalloped frame.  Once it was all dry I added a ribbon hanger, bow and some glittery snowflakes.  Around the middle on the outside I added blue glittery washi tape and some navy ribbon.

Gardening Dave

A short while ago I was lucky enough to win a couple of mini kits from Pink Gem.  Here is a card I have made for one of my sons who has an allotment.  The backing paper is from a magazine freebie.  The character has been decoupaged and is quite high so I don't think I will be posting this one.  The butterflies have been punched and a bit of stickles added.

Winter Wishes

Another Christmas card today made in lovely pinks and blues.

I started with a square white base card and this I covered with blue polka dot paper.  I then added some snowflake acetate which I attached on left side only.  Next I added a pink panel which I attached a border of paper and stamped the sentiment on.  A bit of die cut holly came next.  My stamp is from Pink Gem and has been coloured with promarkers and stickles.

Birthday Boy

Today I have made a CAS male card using the three primary colours.  The sentiment stamp is from Pink Gem and the VW camper stamp is from Hobby Art.  Each stamp has been heat embossed and layered onto matching squares.  I added a bit of faux stitching for interest.  The sentiment has been stamped directly onto the card blank and I could not resist adding a small gem.

Easter Bonnet

A bit of 'artistic licence' going on here as I don't really make Easter cards for anyone.  I was thinking of Easter when I spotted this gorgeous digi from Pink Gem and thought she looked as if she had her Easter bonnet on.  Anyway, I have coloured her with promarkers and layered her up.  The backing paper is also from Pink Gem.  I have added some lace with ribbon threaded through to the bottom.  A few flowers and brads from my stash finish the card.

Reindeer & Robin

Today's card features a cute little reindeer and robin topper from Pink Gem which I have layered and added stickles to.  The background has been created by embossing through a stencil and inking with distress ink which I have never done before (I wasn't sure it would work but am pleased with the results.  I added some more stickles to the branches.

Following the great sketch I first attached some of this gorgeous paper to my base card.  Next I cut a panel, added some more gorgeous paper and added some cream lace that I have threaded with pink satin ribbon.  Next I cut another panel, this time adding some card embossed with snowflakes to which I added some glitter before attaching with foam pads.  I added flock, glitter and diamond glaze to the image before also attaching with foam pads.  The sentiment has been punched out and layered with a lace circle cut with a nestie.  The leaves and flowers are all punched and have tiny little yellow pearls in the centres, can you see them?  Finally I placed a few star gems in the corners.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Challenges

A Gem Of A Challenge (16) - Sketch
Less Is More (5) - Pastel Colours
Digital Tuesday (101) - Welcome Little One
Crafty Creations (109) - Baby Blue
I Love Promarkers (56) - Babies

It's a while since I made a baby card so I thoroughly enjoyed doing this one using this gorgeous little digi stamp, isn't he the cutest? I followed the great sketch, one I shall use again and again. I started by embossing half of a piece of card and then adding the gingham paper to the other half. I then cut and punched a strip of card to go across the middle adding a piece of ribbon. If you look closely at the ribbon you will notice this is where the sentiment is. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and chalk and layered with Nesties. A few punched flowers, leaves, gems and card candy finishes the card. I have tried to keep everything to a minimum so I hope it qualifies as a clean and simple card. Hope you like this one, thanks for looking.

Challenges

Papertake - Sketch (Lilac/Lemon)

Well, here is something a bit different that I haven't tried before. When I looked at the great sketch I immediately thought it would look good on a notebook, nice and easy. I coloured the image with Promarkers, cut it out and attached it with foam pads. The little tag has been stamped and cut using Nesties. The pen loop is just a strip of card attached to the back of the mats. I also added three flower brads to the ribbon.

Heart Milly

Challenges

A Gem Of A Challenge (2) - Sketch

Allsorts (44) - Spring Is In The Air
Our Creative Corner - Spring/Easter
Secret Crafter (75) - Spring Has Sprung

Here is my interpretation of the above challenges, I hope they are accepted. The paler colours of the challenge choices are the ones I didn't choose to incorporate, if that makes sense. As usual the computer has shown the GREEN cardstock as blue, I don't know why it always does this, is it colour blind??? Although I followed the great sketch I did change the circle to a heart on the main image and changed the circle to a flower on the text. Anyway I hope you like the card.

Please excuse the picture. I have been having a problem with my printer and have spent the past hour and a half trying to get the damn thing to work properly. I can tell you there was a lot of blue air around here. If it thinks it's going to give up the ghost it had better think again...

I followed the great sketch from Pink Gems first challenge and used some of my favourite papers from Papermania. The gorgeous image has been coloured with MLP pens (makes a change from pencils) and the flowers are punched with a MS punch.
