To "Ewe"

I have been busy making a few Christmas cards today and here is one of them.  My digi stamp from Bugaboo has been coloured with promarkers.  The papers are from Forever Friends and the lace from my stash.  I cut the sentiment out with a banner die and inked around the edge.  I also flipped the sketch.

Flowers For Mother's Day

Challenges

Sketchy (41) - Sketch
Cupcake Craft (230) - Lace
Incy Wincy - Pop It Up
Digital Tuesday (198) - Pink/White
Papertake - Bling
Oldie But Goodie - Bright Colours
Card Crafters Circle (63) - Teddies
Forever Friends (14) - Animals

It is so long since I made cards with these cute teddies but I recently found a load of their stickers in my stash, long forgotten about, along with some papers.  So many of them are suitable for Mother's Day so here's another one.

Following the great sketch I covered my base card with white cardstock and spotty paper.  Next I punched some strips and added some old paper lace and attached with d/s tape.  I stuck my main image sticker onto pink cardstock and layered onto a white panel cut with a nestie.  Once I cut the darker pink panel with a lace nestie I attached the image to it with foam pads to 'pop it up'.  I then attached the whole thing to my base card, again using foam pads, double pop up!  The smaller image has been layered and popped up with foam pads along with the sentiment.  The flowers have been cut from corresponding design paper and I have added gems to the centres.  Another gem added to the sentiment finishes the card.  Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Forever In A Flap!!!

Challenges

M.A.W.T.T. (42) - Sketch
Paperplay (15) - Stickers
Daring Cardmakers - Getting In A Flap
Cupcake Craft (87) - Red & White
Forever Friends - Numbers
Doodle Palace - Choose From A List Of Challenges (Too many to list)
Fab 'N' Funky (20) - Get It All Out
A Gem Of A Challenge (3) - Special Birthdays

I have made this card for my nephew's birthday in June and managed to get it to fit quite a few challenges, a challenge in itself. I have followed the great sketch although I planned to use it for a totally different card (watch this space!). I turned the sketch so that I could make a 'tent' card and so that the Forever Friends stickers would fit. From the Doodle Palace list I have chosen Black, Red & Neutral/Letters & Numbers. My neglected stash are the FF Stickers/Peel-Offs and the Black Swivelly Things (don't know what they are called). For the 'Flap' I have made 'a card on a card' which opens up as you can see in the second picture. The corners were punched out using a small circle punch.

Forever Friends Challenge

This week's challenge is to follow a lovely sketch. I decided to make another Christmas card and used one of the FF stickers which I put onto white card and layered it with red card. I placed swirly paper onto the white base card and then added a stripey rectangle. I stamped and layered a greeting and to finish added some mistletoe stickers.

These challenges combine nicely with my nephews forthcoming wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been ten years since his wedding, it only seems a couple of years ago, how time flies these days. The numbers and flowers were cut on the cuttlebug. By the way, Forever Friends are giving away blog candy of an image folder to this week's winner so why not have a go.

Charisma Cardz Challenge (27)

This week's challenge is to alter something, NOT a thing I usually do but thought I would have a go. I had a tube of chocolates so I just simply covered it with design paper and added lace threaded with ribbon top and bottom. Next it needed an image so I stamped a FF image and coloured it with promarkers and MLP pens and simply attached it. Not very inventive I know but it looks pretty enough. If you have any ideas how I could have improved it please leave me a comment, I would appereciate it. When I finished it and took the photo I realised I should have done a 'before' photo. Never mind, next time...

Tote Bag & Nine Cards (Forever Friends Challenge)

The Complete Set
The Tote Bag

1 - 3

4 - 6

7 - 9

The challenge on Forever Friends this week is to 'make a gift for someone' so I am entering this set of cards. I made this little set about three weeks ago for a very special young lady in Malaysia who I have been told, was thrilled to receive them. I found the idea on a Stampin Up demonstrator's blog, her name is Rochelle and you can find the bag etc here, thank you Rochelle. The bag was very easy to make, as was the cards. I have tried to make the cards suitable for various occassions.

Papertake Challenge

This week's Papertake challenge is to make 'A Matching Set' so I thought I would enter this little set of cards I made as a than you to a friend recently.

As you can see all the cards are made in the same way with slight variations. I started by covering a piece of card with paper and adding a tied ribbon to the bottom, this was then attached to the base card with foam pads. Next I stamped and coloured the images and layered them with my Nesties (no suprise there then!!!) and again attached them with foam pads. I left them open so that they could be used for various occassions.

Missed this one as well, duh!

Well! at this rate, I shall end up doing the challenges one or two weeks AFTER they are due ha!ha! This one WAS going to be for the Forever Friends ATC challenge but never mind, thought I would show you anyway. I don't as a rule make ATCs and I will probably end up using it as a topper on a card. I watercoloured the FF bears with my pencils and coloured the dragonflies wings with Sakura glitter pens.

Sketch Saturday (32)/Forever Friends Challenges

For this card I have used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday and combined it with the challenge from Forever Friends which is 'Your Favourite Colour', bet you can't guess what my favourite colour is??? Yep! your right, it's PINK!

First I covered the card using Papermania papers. Then I stamped the image using an Archival inkpad onto pink CS and also the starry paper. I coloured the image on the CS with my watercolour pencils and the one on the paper with Marvy Le Plume pens. I layered the CS image using my nesties. With the paper one, I wrote a little greeting on the tag and coloured the ribbon using the pens. I then cut out the parcel and layered it onto the CS image using foampads to give a 3D effect. The four flowers were stamped using a Personal Impressions stamp and coloured with the pens. I added the brads from my stash to the middles and positioned them with foam pads.

Sketch Saturday/Forever Friends

This week's challenge at Sketch Saturday was "Your Choice". I have chosen the sketch from challenge 27 for my card. As you can see I turned it and used FF stickers and a LOTV greeting. The cardstock is from my scrapbox and the backing paper is a free download. As I have used FF images it qualifies for the Forever Friends challenge which is "anything". Thanks for looking.

This cute little stamp is my prize from the Dutch Dare Cards Challenge that I won. (We had to make a card with scalloped edges which you can see above). Thank you ladies I look forward to playing with it. The beautiful card came with it and was made by the very talented Karin Hoeve. Why not pop over to her blog and see her wonderful creations, thank you Karin. Thanks for looking.
