DTGD Card

There's another group of fun challenges posted on SCS for the Dare to Get Dirty week! I created this card for the following dirty girls' challenges: JeanneS, KelliJo, JPMayo, Jellybean74 and Whippetgirl.  I can't go into details here on my blog...you will have to be a fan club member on SCS, so check it out HERE.

I created this fun purse from 3 different punches by SU: the large and small ovals and the round tab punches.  Designer papers are from Graphic 45's French Country pad.  The sentiment stamp is by Skipping Stones Design; sentiment flag stamp is by Lil' Inker Designs.

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to join in the DTGD challenges for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

A Pursonal Card

Using the colors from Stacey's Curtain Call Challenge (Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, Pear Pizzazz, White) and Lea Lawson's layout from Skipping Stones Design, I came up with this fun card. I paper pieced the purse, die cut the doily lace border and added an embroidered floral trim (by Wright's). This retired DP had all the colors I needed with the green being a little brighter than Pear Pizzazz but close enough IMO. Hope you're having a wonderful day...wherever you are!

STAMPS: Skipping Stones Design (purse & sentiment), Express Yourself by Verve (flourish)
PAPER: Rainbow Sherbet (SU), Tangerine Tango, Neenah Solar White
INK: Tangerine Tango, Versafine Onyx Black
ACCESSORIES: Scalloped oval Nestie, CB, Trim, Sheer ribbon, Doily lace die (MFT), Brads

SSD Sketch

Amy Sheffer has a fun sketch on the Skipping Stones Design blog. I've had this banner die from MFT for months and am just now getting around to trying it out! I also found some retired DP by SU and went with this pink and red combo...definitely NOT my norm, but the striped panel dictated the coordinating colors. Pretty straightforward card with the banner being the most time-consuming element to put together.
STAMPS: Verve
PAPER: Candy Lane DP (SU), Vintage Cream
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
ACCESSORIES: Banner die (MFT), Brads (SU), Lace, Grosgrain ribbon, Nesties, Primas

1000th Card on SCS!

I'm using another digi image from the fundraiser collection put together by Jak Heath to benefit Katie Renz and her family. In earlier posts, I mentioned Katie is fighting the battle of her life in dealing with Stage IV gastric cancer. This is a large card (4 3/4 x 6 inches) using Amy Sheffer's sketch for the Skipping Stones Design challenge. This is also made for SCS Way to Use It Challenge - to use butterflies. The digi was printed on X-Press Blending Card and colored with Copics.
Leaves - YG11, YG13, YG17
Ears & pads of feet - R20, R22
Dog - E55, E57, E59
Swing - YR23, YR31
Teddy bear - YOO, BG11
The butterflies are stickers by Martha Stewart. DP is from the Max & Whiskers pad by BasicGrey.
When I uploaded this card on SCS, I noticed this was the 1000 card milestone! Me thinks I have an addiction to stamping - lol!
