July 1st sketch @ Sketch N Scrap!

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a layout I created with the July 1st sketch at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the July 1st sketch created by the talented Stacy:

I loved this sketch and am hoping to use it again real soon!  I used my July Great Stash Bash kit for this layout and was happy with how many different papers and embellishments I was able to use on this layout! Card Fun ~Throwback Thursday!

Happy Thursday!  Today I am throwing it back to 2017 and using a card sketch from Sketch N Scrap's 5th birthday bash!!  Here is sketch #4 for the 5th Birthday Bash at Sketch N Scrap created by Heather Hall:

TN Time with Lisa & Lori ~ June edition!

Happy Sunday!!  As you might have noticed today's post is going up a few days late.  This was due to technical difficulties on my part, so sorry for the delay!  So without further ado, let's kick off the June edition of the TN Time with Lisa & Lori challenge!!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!

What a fun challenge!! I don't normally use a lot of yellow, but it is such a fun color and I do LOVE mustard yellow!!  And well, circles what can I say except they make a great addition to ANY layout!!  Plus I love enamel dots and that counts as a circle too!!!  

Here is my layout using the sketch and Lori's challenge:

For the yellow part of the challenge I went with a mustard yellow.  I used the My Mind's Eye Wild Asparagus paper on the left side as well as a yellow word strip sticker and some yellow in the one patterned paper and flower on the right side.  For my circle elements I used a die cut stitched circle as well as the circle sticker "Be Happy" on the right side and of course some enamel dots, which in my opinion is a MUST on any layout!!

I love that paint brush, it was a perfect accent for my layout about fun times with my crafty babes at my recent glamping retreat!! I used a Project Life type card and loved those cute hearts on the side!!

I have had this Be Happy sticker in my "BASHKET" on my desk for years, so it was a perfect circle element to add to this spread!! I was to scared I couldn't write small enough for this small space so I used my computer for journaling on this layout!

TGIF!!  I am super excited about this weekend!  My son is set to FINALLY after one year of waiting, walk the stage to receive his B.S.in Electrical Engineering!  I know it will be worth the wait!!  But now for some scrappy fun!  Today I am sharing my layout using the May Jumpstart Sketch at The ScrapRoom and the May Flavors of the Month kit!

The colors in this collection are so stunning! Happy Monday!  It's a new week and that brings us a new round of fun challenges in the collaboration between Sketch N Scrap & Cookin' Up Creations!  Today it's my turn to offer up the challenge for the online 8th Birthday Bash crop at Sketch N Scrap! I dug into some Fall goodness for this layout!  I have been hoarding some of the Paige Taylor Evans Truly Grateful things as they are so pretty!! However, I know if I keep hoarding stuff it will leave no room for new stuff so I'm committed to start using it!! I loved how this newer line went so well with this older piece of paper from My Mind's Eye!  This color scheme is just delightful don't you think?  I really do love Fall colors the best!!  I hope you will join us in our online crop at Sketch N Scrap or in the Mad About Sketches challenges at Cookin' Up Creations!  Have a blessed and creative day!

 As you can see I was an over achiever and used EVERYTHING on the list for Lori's challenge!  It was super easy to do and a fun challenge for myself!  I used pink and red both on the layout, I used the black gingham washi tape.  I used hearts in my paper, my die cut and a puffy heart sticker.  I used gold by adding gold enamel dots.  I also used a label and tag from the Dear Lizzy She's Magic ephemera pack I got on sale last year. My flower is from Pretty Little Studios and it is so pretty I have been hoarding it lol!  I used a few striped pieces of paper to finish off the challenge!

I had fun documenting this fun memory my niece and I had from this past December.  As a birthday present to her instead of toys, clothes or other gifts I decided to give her the gift of time and an experience so I found this cat cafe for us to visit.  She LOVES cats and so this fun cafe called The Casual Cat Cafe was purrfect for her! We had fun petting, holding and playing with the kitties.  One named Ford was so crazed for treats he kept biting my niece if she didn't give him one or if she gave it to another cat!  You would think he would be fat from all the treats he hogs down but he was actually the skinniest one of the bunch!  Ford is the black cat in the picture practically crawling into her lap, he was really a fun one to get to know (well, when he wasn't biting you lol!) We will be definitely going back again soon to pet the kitties!

Card sketch #161 at Sketch N Scrap

Happy Monday!!  Has your New Year gotten off to a good start? I sure hope so!  Today I am sharing my card made using the January 5th card sketch by the very talented Heather Hall at Sketch N Scrap!  Here is the sketch:

I love how this turned out!  I used my new 6 x 6 My Mind's Eye Splendor pad that I picked up on my last trip to Tuesday Morning back in November.  I just love these papers!! I thought they were perfect for cards so instead of hoarding them for a year I decided to go ahead and dig in!!  So glad I did, this card turned out so pretty and I made 2 exactly the same!  This sketch is so versatile that I know I will use it time and time again!  I am loving this sentiment as well, in fact this CTMH Stamp of the Month I got a while back is amazing and has a lot of really fun sentiments, it's my go to stamp set lately for card making!!  I hope you will hop on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to check out what the other DT members did with this fun sketch !  And if you have the time why not join in the fun and play along with one of our sketches!  Happy creating!

March Freaky Fast Friday Inspiration!

I just loved the whimsy of these papers and stickers, don't you???!!  I love this quote and when I saw the bicycle I figured it would go perfectly with my layout!  I made this layout for a friend.  Here we are at a glamping craft retreat at the Lone Star Glamp Inn last November!  It was such fun and if you haven't visited the Lone Star Glamp Inn you need to, it's a once in a lifetime experience I think every crafty gal should experience!  Make sure and visit the ScrapRoom blog to see what the other DT members did with this fun kit!!  Happy creating!

I just love the bright colors in this collection from My Mind's Eye!! It really made a beautiful card. This collection is one of the 4 collections featured in The ScrapRoom November Flavors of the month kit! Happy October!! I can't believe it's the start of a new month already!  Time to share my ScrapRoom layouts for October!  First let's take a look at the amazing and wonderful October Flavors of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here it is:

 Every month there is a fun new sketch for club members to use for inspiration.  This month's sketch is by Suzanna Lee.  My layout is based on this fun sketch!

These papers are super FUN! I loved the pops of gold which are hard to see in the photograph but add so much to the papers and embellishments!  I immediately thought of these pictures of my niece getting her first highlights 2 years ago when I saw these papers and they worked beautifully!
