Victorian Christmas

Hi all,

The weeks are flying by at the moment, but I'm glad I managed a card for this week's Fab 'n Funky challenge. This week's challenge is DISTRESS, I've used both a distressing tool and using ink to distress the papers. We are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and the girls from the DT received some lovely images to work with. I decided to make a Christmas card, as the end of the year seems to be approaching so far right now and I need quite a lot of cards still!

* Lacy Sunshine Curly Sue's Victorian Christmas digi, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* First Edition Up Up & Away & Authentique Remembrance DPs
* Forest Moss & Victorian Velvet Distress Ink & Distessing Tool

* Marianne Design Letters and More Backgrounds & Eline's Winterhuis Jingle Bells Stamp Sets

It's Winter Time!

Good morning all!

I've been back at work for a couple of days now and I seem to be getting back in the swing of things. Also, all the DTs have started up again, so it's all hands on deck to try and make my projects on time!

The new Fab 'n Funky challenge is starting today and our theme this week is "Winter"! We are being sponsored by DigiDarla, the images we are working with this week are therefore from their catalogue. I decided to use Snowtime Baby Bunny 5, such a cute image! I've been delving in my scrappy shoebox for this one again and thoroughly enjoyed fitting it all together for this Christmas card. Yes, I know it's a bit early to start thinking about Christmas again, but why not, cards keep a long time and then I don't have to worry about it later on in the year so much :) I'm pretty pleased with the card, except for the sentiment; it's not quite as clear as I would have liked with the dark blue Distress ink. Hope you like it too and come and join us in the challenge this week!

Materials:
* Create & Craft CS
* Digi Darla Snowtime Baby Bunny 5 digi, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs

* Black & Silver ink, Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
* Eline's Winterhuis Sentiment Stamp set, Marianne Design Letters & More Background Stamps

Daisy Birthday

Good Morning everyone!

What a week it has been! I was back at work last Monday and it was all hens on deck as much work needed to be done. However, I also managed to get the flu on Monday, which has had me "entertained" for the rest of the week. You can imagine I was glad when Saturday came around! I'm feeling better now though :)

Today we are starting a new challenge @ Platypus Creek: "Let's Celebrate a Birthday", nice and easy this time! For my inspiration card, I've combined a PCD digi image with a more traditional decoupage image, I think it really works as you can colour the digi any shade you need to compliment the pre-coloured decoupage image. I'd love to know what you think, all your comments are very much appreciated!

Materials:
* Platypus Creek Digital Daisy digi, coloured with Promarkers/Spectrum Noirs and Sakura glitter pens
* Studio Light Decoupage image

* Circle digi sentiment from the Internet
* Pearls from stash

Challenges:
* Southern Girls Challenge (Flowers)

* Crafty Bloggers Network (Purple)
* Cupcake Craftroom (Pretty Pastels)

Father's Day UK

Good evening everyone!

It's almost Father's day here and in the UK, so I have been busy making Father's Day cards this weekend. This is first I would like to share with you, the other card is likely to follow later in the week. This card is for my FIL, who regularly likes a glass of wine with his dinner:

I'm not quite sure what you would call this fold, but it certainly makes for a more unusual card I think! Most supplies are from a decoupage sheet, but I like to start with the sheet without the example and then make my own card with the supplies. Always fun to see what someone else did with the same supplies and compare cards! I'm curious to see what you guys think, I know there's not much decoupage out there (or perhaps I am looking in the wrong places), mostly digis or stamps, but I like using decoupage just as much as other techniques and don't feel it's inferior to anything I can make with a stamp or digi stamp. Just different. Perhaps you want to give it a try as well ;) Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys!

Materials:
* Studio Light (decoupage) images and DPs
