Good morning everyone,
It's Mother's Day today in the Netherlands and of course I made a card for my mother to send to her. I decided to revisit my old crafty stash and delve into all the decoupage books I have that never got used up. I found this adorable image with matching DPs that seemed just perfect for the occasion. Together with lots of embellishments I have found in my stash, I made this card. It doesn't open like a regular card, but you need to slide away the front to reveal the message inside. I made a double bow to bulk up the ribbon a bit, but it's still a dainty bow to me. Anyway, my mum should have received this card by now, so it's safe to post it here as she is a loyal follower of my blog and I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Let's hope she likes it!
Materials:
* Create & Craft Pastels CS
* Studio Light image, DP and sentiment (it says I think of you in Dutch)

Tea for One
Hi all!
I hope you all had a nice weekend, mine was lovely having spent it visiting my parents and enjoying each other's company. It's always a tiring weekend, as I need to travel for several hours to get there and back, but worth it!
As usual, another challenge is starting today @ Ooh La La, themed "FOR A SPECIAL LADY". I used this challenge to make a Mothers' Day card for my MIL, as the UK Mothers' Day is coming up soon; in the Netherlands we don't celebrate it until May. I managed to use up a last bit of lace I had lying around, always so satisfying when that happens, don't you think?
Materials:
* Ooh La La Teatime image & DPs from the Yesterday's Memories CD
* K&Co Ancestry DPs, edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink
* CartUs Scalloped Oval die
* Hot Off the Press You're Tea-rrific sentiment stamp
* Lace from stash
Challenges:
* Cute Card Thursday (Girls, Girls, Girls)
* Rhedd & Rosie's (Aged/Distressed) I've used Distress Ink
* Polkadoodle (Mum's the Word)
* Bearly Mine (One for the Girls)
* Card & Scrap (Ribbon and/or Lace)
* Seemacraft (Something for Mum)
* Cupboard Trilogy (Mothers)
* Freshly Brewed (Sketch or Photo Inspiration) I've used the photo to inspire the card's theme
* Gem of a Challenge (Mother's Day/Female Birthday/Special Lady)
* Ladybug Crafts (Anything Goes)

You are Appreciated
Hi all!
It's Thursday again, only a couple more days and it's the weekend again! I have to admit I am looking forward to it, it has been so crazy busy and I have been suffering a little bit from the jet lag earlier in the week. I'm looking forward to a nice long lie-in :) Going to see Eddie Izzard on Monday didn't help things either, as we were home by 1 and I had to get up again at 6. He was really funny though, as was his warm-up act :)
Thursday means a Delightful Challenge, themed "I APPRECIATE YOU" this time. I made a lovely Mother's Day card. I used my new circle cutter here; it was just such a doddle to make the perfect circle. Expect a lot more circles on my future projects ;)
Materials:
* Digital Delights Luvvy Bear, coloured with Promarkers & Spectrum Noirs
* Digital Delights Mother's Day sentiment
* Paper Mania Sweet Nothings & DCWV Street Lace DPs
* Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
* Pearls from stash
Challenges:
* Whoopsi Daisy (Use Circles)
* One Stitch at a Time (Use a Digi)
* The Squirrel and the Fox (Furry Friends)
* Ruby's Rainbow (Round and Round)
* Sarah Hurley (Projects with Character)
* Oldie but a Goodie (Make it Girly) I've had these DPs for ages and never used the pads at all!
* Bearly Mine (Digi Days)
* Passion for Promarkers (Animals)
* Use it Tuesdays (Flowers for Mom)
* Paper Makeup Stamps (Animal Friends)

Happy Mother's Day
Hello all,
If all goes well, I will be back at work tomorrow. Thank you for all the well-wishes, it definately cheered me up! I'm still not a 100%, but the show must go one or something like that :)
On the 3rd of March is UK Mother's Day, so I've made a card for my mother-in-law Mary. Dutch Mother's Day is in May, so I have a little time left to work on my mum's card.
It's a fairly simple card, but still nice I think. I wouldn't have chosen the yellow, but it was requested by my husband and why would I want to argue with that?
Materials used:
* Studio Light image & backing paper
* Eline Vintage stamp set
* Flower punch
* Pink ribbon & Diamonds from stash
I am submitting to:
* CYDA (For Mum)
* Papertake Weekly (It's a Mum's Thing)
* Nadia's Challenge (Flowers)
* Ooh la la (Mother's Day)
* DCD (Mother's Day)
* Easy Craft (Mother's Day)
* Bearly Mine (Mother's Day)
* Simon Says Stamp (Mother's Day)
* The Paper Shelter (Flower Power)
* Let's Craft and Create (Mum's the Word)
Well, this is definately it from me for this week. I will have a ton of work waiting for me, I'm afraid, so no time for crafting. Hope to see you then!
