Anything Goes for Snow Men

Good morning everyone!

This is my last week at work for this year, I'm having a well-deserved (well. I think so anway) break until the next year. I have three cards to share with you this week and then I am assuming it will be a bit quiet on the blog here as I prepare for Christmas festivities and crafty projects for the new year. This is the first of the three, as we are starting a new challenge today @ PCD and you can enter with just about anything as 'ANYTHING GOES AS LONG AS ITS TO DO WITH CHRISTMAS'. Are you still working on those last minute cards, why not enter them in our challenge? This is my take on the challenge:

Buttoning Up @ Christmas

Happy Monday Everyone!

It's time for another Platypus Creek Challenge, themed "Christmas with Buttons and a Bow"! This time, I've used PCD Holly Leaves to accentuate a main image on my card and replaced the berries with some lovely buttons I recently picked up at my local craft store. The holographic DP is also a new impulse buy, I was standing in line for the cash register at a department store when I noticed these beauties glistening on a shelf nearby. There a tons of sheets with different colours and patterns, so expect them to feature in more of my Christmas Cards designs! The only drawback is that the paper is so thin, it's difficult to cut straight with my cutting tool. What do you think?

Materials:
* PCD Holly Leaves
* Snowman & sentiment stamp from unknown set, stamped with black ink and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink
* DPs from stash
* Marianne Letters & More Background stamp
* Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas Vintage button set, stitched with metallic thread from a local craft store (Pipoos)
* Create & Craft ribbon

Challenges:
* Charisma Cards (Keep It Cool)
* 4 Crafty Chicks (Winter Wonderland)
* Crimbo Crackers (Snowmen)
* Crafty Pad (It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas)
* Creatalicious Challenges (Winter)
* Crafty Catz (Sparkle)
* Joanna Sheen (Cold & Frosty)
* Sweet Stampin' (Snow People)
* Let's Craft & Create (Christmas)
* Hooked on Craft (Christmas no Red/Green)

Halloween Christmas

Good afternoon,

Hope you all are having a great weekend? My parents were at ours for the weekend, we just put them back on the train so now I have some time to update my blog.

The October Christmas Cards All Year Round (CCAYR) Challenge is up again, this time we are challenging you to use Halloween colours as well as a die-cut or punch. We don't really celebrate Halloween in the Netherlands, so I don't really have that much of those colours in my stash, but I eventually managed to fine some:

Materials
* White scalopped base card
* Studio Light 3D image and sentiment
* My Mind's  Eye Fine and Dandy True Blue DP
* SEI Christmas Mint Chiplets Die-cut
* Gold peel-offs, gem and pearl from my stash

Challenges
* Christmas Stampin' All Year Long (No Stamps)
* Crafty Creations (CAS)
* Crafty Purple Frog (Lots of Layers)
* Crafty Hazelnut (For a man)
* Paper Sundaes (Lots of Layers)
* Scrap Card Challenge (Anything Goes)
* ABC Challenge (Anything Goes)
* Crafts 4 Eternity (Anything Goes)
* Christmas Card Challenge (Christmas Card)
* Just Some Lines (Fall Colours)

I will be back with a birthday card tomorrow, as promised! Hope you all have a great weekend, enjoy the good weather while you can!

More Stashshopping

Hello everyone!

Told you I had more cards up my sleeve ;) This is another card I made for the Christmas Cards All Year Round Challenge to use only crafty stuff that has been in your possession for longer than a year. Why don't you join in too, you have the entire month of September to come up with a gorgeous project. Have a look to see what my teamies have done and also what other crafters have already submitted, you might get inspired!

Here is my card, I've used an embossing board to create the DP shape, I think it came out really nice :) I've smeared glitter glue all over the edge of the embossed shape and on the inside sentiment too, you can't really see it very well in the photo but it's definitely there!

Materials:
* Gold base card
* Studio Light Decoupage image, stuck on a mat made out of a piece of bronze envelope
* Basic Grey Jovial DP
* Crafter's Companion embossing board
* Scalloped circle punch
* Clear Stickles
* Christmas Die-Cut, white paper and sentiment inside from stash

Challenges:
* Crafter's Companion (Christmas Wishes) 30/9
* Christmas Inspirations (Glitter) 15/9
* Basic Grey Challenges (Celebration) 17/9
* Charizma Cards (Inspired by a song: Frosty the Snowman) 15/9
* Lil Red Wagon (Die-Cuts) 13/9
* Scrap Cards Challenge (Christmas) 12/9
* Scrap Creations (Winter Wishes) 13/9
* Delightful Challenges (Bling It) 15/9
* Christmas Card Challenges (Christmas) 10/9
* All That Scraps (Anything Goes) 13/9

Right, I better get back to work, busy and long day ahead of me I'm afraid :( I hope you all have a great weekend!
