Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY! I am SOOO glad the week is over. That means a few more days and we're off to Disneyland! WOO HOO! My gosh I haven't been to Disneyland in AGES and I live maybe 20 minutes away? My BIL works there and he gets passes...so since it's Lizzie's birthday on the 16th...he's giving us the passes to have her birthday there! Awww...isn't he sweet!?
Ok...now onto what I'm here for...lol...Paper Makeup's Makeup 4 The Weekend! The challenge set by Lisa K. this week is to create anything using a template! Since I had been itching to use Lauren Meader's Pick of the Petals template...I decided to print it out and work on it! This is my first...so it's kinda hideous...lol...NO...I kid! Still I had to make it because I made this HUGE cupcake for a very deserving person who has no idea how much she's impacted my life and that of my family. She'll know who I'm talking about when she receives it. ;)
I used Creamy Caramel for the base and Cameo Coral (I think that's the name...lol) since I didn't have pink to match the cupcake. Then I crocheted a larger flower to top it off and punched a few leaves and a butterfly. The center is a flatback pearl. The 3X3 card was made using the stamps set Sprinkles and Cherries.
Alright...I'll let you go so you can play along with us. Check the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to check out the full deets! ;) Hope to see my friends...my followers play along!
Ciao!

My Time Made Easy At JUGs with a Sneak Peek or two!
Wow...I feel all giddy as I post this! As you may have read in a past post about my AWE with Lauren's stuff...mostly her AH-MAZING templates and FABULICIOUS talent... Well I'm giddy because I get to work with some of her new stuff being released on Monday, February 1st! Just a day before my birthday! So Happy Birthday To Me! LOL!
Ok you guys...this template if tons of fun because the dress up posibilities are endless! Since it's close to Valentines Day...I made mine a love box! :D OMG and not to mention the cute Critters With Heart stamps ALSO releasing on the 1st at the My Time Made Easy shop... Miss Lauren is a proud momma to!
So this weeks challenge is sponsored by none other than Lauren and has some SWEET BLOG CANDY! She has a $25 gift certificate to the MTME store to one of our participants! Awesome right? You may want to use it to get some of her stamps, templates, or maybe some digital paper put together by both Lauren AND our JUGs girl Kristin!
We (the DT) are each suppose to create a project using the template Happy Mail (releasing 2/01) AND use the stamp set Critters with Heart (also releases 2/01). Here is what I came up with! I tried using Kristin's DP but OMG my ink is so low...I'm resorting to rubber right now...lol. So no digi stuff for me for a bit. I used the CUTE raccoon who just happens to be a heart thief! Notice the jailhouse stripes? LOL! He's got all the stolen hearts captured in the Happy Mail box! I stamped him 3 times to get the desired dimension and surrounded him with flowers (I think he's trying to hide?)! This little box is fully functionable and SO easy to assemble!
Well...that's it for me! Hope to see you play along (details below) and make sure to check out what the AMAZING design team has in store for you! I can't express how thankful I am for being part of their AMAZING team. January is almost over...BUT I will most definitely not forget my time with JUGs! After this Saturday I only have one more Saturday left :(. Thanks again ladies! You're all gems!
Now...in order for you to participate...Lauren has a FREEBIE template you can download called Cutesy Cover to use for your creation OR you can also play along with a template of your own...just make it 3D. Hope you play along with us this week! If you do, leave a link to your creation at the JUGs challenge blog under Mr. Linky! Make sure you type in JUGS17 when uploading to an online gallery like Spiltcoast Stampers and link up to the JUGs blog. Bloggers...head on over to the JUGs challenge blog and link up your project (not just your blog...but your blog post for this challenge...makes it easier for us to find your creation) to Mr. Linky. Remember...to be entered to be Chic Of The Week...you must link your card by Thursday, January 28th by or before 9:00 PM EST!

A Quickie to keep you wanting more! :P
Just a quick post to show you what I've been working on...or what's kept me busy per-say! First I want to apologize if I haven't been to your blogs. I have just been going 100 MPH that I barely have any time to breath...I'm still finishing off some homemade Christmas gifts. Can we say cramped crocheting hands? I am so looking forward to another carpal tunnel flare...yeah right! But hey...if it's helping us save money...why not. Anywho...the first is an oven...the template is from Lauren Meader's Timeless Templates called Bun in the Oven. Thanks to this little project...I decided to make a new blog that I may be either launching in January OR I may wait for my birth month of February...it's still just a thought process though! I've really taken a HUGE love of crocheting that I would love to show you my creations on a non stamper blog... Let's keep each hobby apart right? Plus I have plenty coming up in the coming months that I don't want my crocheting fall in the shadows....but we'll see... Ok now I went off track...here is my bun in the oven! It's rolled up socks to look like cupcakes! {click on pictures for larger image}
Now check out my newest creation...I call her Carol Cupcake and she's a pincushion! Isn't she sweet? LOL! I'm selling her for $7 if you're interested (I've already made 6...ouch!). Shipping depends on destination. Anywho...just drop me a line if you're interested! I can also take a custom order! I can make them in strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla frosting with the choice of strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla "cake mix"! They measure 3 1/2" across and 3" tall. BTW...she(they) can also be a decor or a childs toy...I already made one for Lizzie too and an "amigurumi-ish" character for Ozzy who he named Leafynut The Acorn. Don't ask...cause I have NO idea why! LOL! Thanks for looking! Thanks most of all for your patience. I will be back when I can steal another hour or so and as soon as the holidays are over...I will be making my blog rounds! ;) Love ya!

Welcome to my house...my coffee house!
Ok...so I have been admiring the houses made with the template created by Lauren Meader and let me tell ya...they are very intimidating looking! I finally decided I was gonna try it whether it killed me or not...and I'm alive! :D I said the heck with it...I'm gonna buy the template and give it a go! So I downloaded it...printed the parts out...and wa-lla...a few hours later...I have my little creation! I had first envisioned making a gingerbread house...but since I didn't have everything I wanted to use...I decided to go a different route...up to the Northwest...to visit the birthplace of coffee houses! I LOVE my cup o' Java! I'm not ME without my joe!
Inside I added little packages of whole coffee, decaf, creamer, sugar packets, and just for fun...a packet of cocoa! I love this one so much...I'm gonna be making more when I have a few spare hours...lol! You should try one too! You can find the template here! Can you believe it's ONLY $5!!!??? What you make with it though...PRICELESS! How cute would this be for someone with a new home? With maybe a Home Depot GC inside!? ;)
I also made it for the JUGs challenge...to make a gift box or bag of sorts for a gift for the upcoming Holidays! I know mine isn't Christmassy...but it is a gift box? I hope this qualifies girls! If not...I'll make something else! ;) I figured it's a great gift for a friend (per say) during this cold season? LOL! Thanks y'all!

This week's Challenge!
Yep, good ol' Martha Stewart, you can always count on some fun crafting ideas. This week's challenge is to use her Coffin Template to create your own Coffin and do it up Bombshell Style!
So play along by popping along to Martha's site and picking up the templates!
Here is the coffin I made featuring Lucky Bride given to me as a RAK from the awesome Sarah K. You can imagine my surprise when I received a package from her AND the head Bombshell...Shannon! I'll show later what I made with what Shannon RAK'd me with! Both of these gals are amazing for thinking of me! Thank you both! Ok...so yeah here is my coffin! I almost didn't go through with it...a little surreal you know...but I did it! The second layer on top of the coffin is a Cuttlebugged piece. I ran it through the Cuttlebug machine with the folder that looks like wood and then just went over it with Basic Black ink to give it a "worn" look. Hinges were made with the tab punch and then attached with gold brads. If only I can get the creaking sound when an old coffin opens...then it would be perfect! LOL!
I decided to do the "senora muerta" on the outside because it goes with my background. According to family history...I have Spanish blood in me. So this Lucky Bride looks very Spanish so I used her in hope I look THAT good when I'm a vampire and resting in my coffin...lol...after Jasper leaves Alice and turns me into his eternal love. Ok...I do have a wishful heart! :P Shut up! HAHAHAHAHA! Ok now off you go! Make sure to drop some love on the other blogs in the hop! I'm sure they'd appreciate your love!
