Tuesday Morning Sketches #44

Hello y'all and welcome to another Tuesday in Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge! I hope you had a great weekend and that you're ready for another sketch to play with!

Ok...let me first begin by letting you know this weeks sponsor. It's non other than Stef AKA Glitterbabe...the lamp shade queen...lol...and her oh so cute images from Glitterbabe's Art Shop! Ok...now when I saw the image I wanted to play with...Lava Lamp...and graciously donated by Stef...I had a vision of what I wanted. Once created...it was SOOOO not what I had envisioned. Same ol' story huh almost every week...like clock work...lol? Yeah...I'll never learn that my visions don't always come true! *blush* Still I love this image and the sentiment I created to go with it. I'm a BIG TIME lava lamp fool...so you know why I chose this image. :D My lava lamp was blue with yellow globs and glitter. Cool huh? I remember I use to sit HOURS with LV as a baby in my arms when she napped and could stare at it to help relax me. Where is my lava lamp when I need it. I may have to go look for one! I had that one for 6 years...so I grew fond of it until Oscar moved in to the picture and decided it wasn't "for us" anymore. Pshhhh! *rolls eyes* Oh well...I'm 33 and I can get another and NO ONE can tell me different...not even Oscar! LOL! BTW...noticed I was the little rebel and flipped the sketch on it's side? Shhh...don't tell Melissa! Oh wait never mind...she knows! OH OH OH...and hold on to your seat, socks, and underware...wait no...yeah...NO COPICS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS CARD! Ok...you can run screaming now! Nope...NO COPICS...all are Prismas! :0 I have been neglecting my first love and that's not right! No sir...or ma'am!

Anywho enough of my silly antics...hope to see you play along! Check out Tuesday Morning Sketches to see what the other chicas have been up to and drop them some love! ;)

A little of my MAD creations!

In utter excitement of Alice in Wonderland coming to theaters soon...I started thinking of some "MAD" creations. LOL! As you may all know...or at least those that know me enough...know I'm a little MAD. Crazy sounds a little "political incorrect" to me...so I prefer the term MAD.

So here is my very first MAD creation I made. I used this card for my recent skin coloring tutorial for Bombshell Stamps. In case you missed the card at the bottom of the post...here she is again! She's a little MAD about someone...kinds how I'm MAD over my hubby! :D Did I use MAD enough? LMBO!

Next is a card made for a swap. This is the simple version for the swappers...the second is the hostess version. I wanted to make that one special as a thank you for hosting! :D I used Chef Ian's head (yes...I beheaded the dude) and Showtime Anya's body and hat!

Ok...now I ask if you're sitting! I hope you are because NO COPICS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE CARDS! :O Nope...I went back to the good old Prismas! This one goes out to my Prisma followers! I have NOT given up on you...lol! The ONLY thing colored with Copics was Ians face and hands...that's it!

Ok...that's it for now! Come back tomorrow for Paper Makeups Make Up 4 The Weekend! This time it's a sketch and it's brought to you by...ME! Hope to see you here tomorrow!

Paper Makeup Stamps "Re-think"

Hello all and Happy? beginning of a new week! Yes...I'm not a Monday person...but I'm happy that I'm here!

So a challenge was thrown at Paper Makeup Stamps for us to remake or "re-think" our VERY FIRST Paper Makeup Stamps card. That was hard because I actually like my very first PMS card and I wouldn't change anything about it...but I did manage to remake and re-think my first card! First...this is my first card I ever make using a Paper makeup Stamp. I used Lauren in Love as my first! I think she's the one who lured me in to Paper Makeup Stamps...lol...NO...I'm pretty sure it was her! Well...her and Caliope with Heart...and Dreck...and...well...let me just move on now...lol!

This is my "re-thought" card. I wanted to take Lauren in a different direction than making her a "Valentine Traditional". Here she just loves the Earth! So I made her with greens. I kept the LO pretty much the same...just changed the colors and DP of course. Oh...and my first card was colored with Prismacolor markers! :O Could you tell? No huh? ;) So this is my remade Lauren in Love with planet Earth! She's planting seeds of love for our Earth! Please...hug a tree today! :)

See ya! Off to knock a million things off my "to do" list! YIKES!

10.16.2009

Sorry I'm a day late Joni!

Well as usual my brain isn't clicking again! I know I had set my "to do list" to post a card made using Joni's contest at Inktegrity. It's OK because I really just want to show off the card I made for Inktegrity using Joni's free digi image for October. Being that it's breast cancer awareness month...Joni has offered up this amazing digi to play with.

Check it out! I'm sorry I don't have too much blah blah...I'm just trying to lube up this rusted brain of mine to get the wheel turning because lately I have NOT been happy with my work. I don't want to stop and break because then I'll lose the mojo...so I'm making what I can churn out. I hope I get that "touch" back soon...

{heart ya}

Prismacolor Markers used: Magenta, Blush Pink, Cool Grey 90%, 70%, & 60%

Happy Boo Tuesday from Frankie Boy

Hola amigas! How sad to come on and find I not only lost a follower...but also 2 subscribers! :( That made me sad...but oh well...I can't appeal to everyone! :P Maybe it's my open personality...maybe I'm too dark...maybe I'm just ugly and that picture above freaks people out...LMBO!!! Whatever it is...I would like to hear some feedback if maybe I give TMI or I'm too open? Let me know what I can do to make my followers and subscribers happy. Of course this is MY blog and can do as I please...but with a fairly large amount of followers...well...I don't want anymore leaving or else I'll be lonesome! :( Ok...'nough of that! Let me show you a card I made.

This card I made was so much fun to alter. It's Joni's gameboy from Inktegrity. I turned him into a young Frankie...lol. He was originally holding a football...but what Frankie can resist a HUGE candy corn? Yeah...thought so! :P I don't know what came over me as I just sat there looking at him thinking...'hmmm...I'm gonna make a football card for my DS'...so I said...'NO...I have an idea'! At first I had made a candy corn background but OMG I thought about the coloring and then with some CT pain...there was NO WAY I would survive that...lol. So I decided just use Halloween colors and Cuttlebug it! I didn't even use any DP! I decided to one again use an SCS sketch...the same I used for Witchy a few posts back. It's so simple and quick to use...I needed simplicity. Some of you might have seen this card on Inktegrity already...but he's too cute not to check him out again right? :P

Copics & Prismas:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, KKiss, EEggplant, SSun, PPie, WWhite, & GP CS
Ink: printer ink, BBlack, Copics, & Prismas
Stamps: Inktegrity Digi's, Whimsie Doodles, and Autumn Leaves Winter Holidays
Embellishments: ribbon (UKV)
Others: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, Goo punch, circle punches

Pretty Witchy

Hey peeps! I wont take up too much of your time today! I'm having CT (carpal tunnel) feelings once again and it's a pain! I'm on pain meds right now so I'm feeling a bit groggy! To those who have emailed me about my stuff for sale...I will get back to you as soon as I can think straight. I'll also send you the pictures you've asked for. Just be patient with me. Ok...

So this card I made last night while watching Ghost Hunters. It's for SCS's Wednesday sketch 249. I used Free Broom Rides from the Wildflower Kids at stamphappen.com. I won this cute set from Jen of Deconstructing Jen's blog! Thanks Jen! I love this witch...she's too cute! I used Copics AND Prismas on this card! I totally forgot to take a picture of the markers I used. I tell ya... *rolls eyes*

Ok peeps...I hope tomorrow is better and this pain goes away soon. I'll be using my splint today!

Woo Hoo...post #2!

Great...now I'm rhyming! LOL! I guess that's what World Card Making Day is doing to me! I am in such a great mood today! House is clean...food is cooked...kids are happy coloring images...what more can I ask for? Oh yeah...NOTHING! I have it all today! I'm stamping and coloring and making cards...oh joyful day! :D

So here I just finished this card for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for week 5. It's titled Sew Happy! I have my fat Bertha (my sewing machine) resting permanently on my desk now and when I saw this challenge thanks to the awesome Vicki of Summerthyme Studio I had to break out Gooseneck to work with when I saw her Stampotique gal! I love her work...but I simple ADORE the things she does with Stampotique stamps by Daniel Torrente. I love those stamps so much that I don't dare use them so I don't wear them out...lol. They remind me of The Nightmare Before Christmas characters...very dark but awesomely interesting! Here I used the lovely Gooseneck. She was actually inspired by the dark Kerli and her music video Walking on Air. I just love that video...it's so me! Here is the video so you can see where I drew inspiration from.

Ok...I'll be back on later again in hope of a third post to reach my personal goal! ;)

Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, PPink, MAMBI DP, Fancy Pants DP, & Wausau Bright White CS

I think it's about time!

Yes...enough is enough! I know I'm like going out of my mind caring for dad and worrying about mom...but Jesus Christ...I'm really letting myself go! I've been so wrapped up in both my mom and dad's life issues that I've really neglected what make ME happy! I mean I have better update on my mom...1 more week or 2 and she'll be home!!! She'll be in bed for a few more weeks after and I'll have to help with having her walk little by little...but she's MUCH MUCH better health! It's time for me to clear my mind right? Plus with my sister coming in to visit and just getting constant criticism about my cooking and how I've been "keeping" my home...I had to call BS and just stand up for myself! I mean I'm not getting any help from my mom's OR dad's side...so who's ANYBODY to come and criticize me when I'm doing a heck of a lot! Any who...enough of THAT whinning...I actually have cards to share! Well...a card for today!

This is a set of 6 cards for a swap hosted by my girl Michele of Enchanted Stamper to use Stamping Bella's Ketto's! These Ketto girlies are to darn cute I picked me up a handful! Here I used Maisy Ketto and NO COPICS THIS TIME! :P I've been commented on about my Prisma loyalty...oh...you can trust me that my Prismas are my baby. I had just been using Copics because LV decided that she no longer needs them as she got some new markers AND she traded me the Copics for my Prisma pencils. Hmmm...so now I own Copics...lol! I've been using them because I paid for them since daddy decided they were too much so...so I wont feel I'm out money and just shove them in a box somewhere...I'm using them in combination now with my Prismas. They get along well to my surprise! Anywho...I also teamed up my Prismas with new markers I go...Bic Mark It's! I saw them on sale at Target and I got both broad tip and fine tip...lol. She's very bright huh? Well...bright colors cheer me up and recently I've needed the bright colors! Her wings are glittery...but you can't tell from the picture. I went in with a clear Spica Atyou pen to give the wings the sparkle. Oh...and that cute ribbon...yup...it was a RAK from Michele! I couldn't bare to use it...but it was the only cute orange ribbon I had! I still have a couple yards more and I'm gonna hoard it! :P

Prismacolor Markers used:
Sienna Brown (hair)
Light Peach (skin)
Pale Peach (skin)
Apple Green & Chartreuse (clothing & flower)
Orange & Yellow Orange (clothing & flower)
Deco Yellow & Canary Yellow (crown)

Supplies:
CS/DP: WWasabi, OOrange, WWhite, Bright White, & Juicy Summer DP by K*I Paper
Ink: BBlack, Prismas, & Bic Mark It's
Stamps: Maisy by Stamping Bella
Embellishments: Summer Blossoms from Prima, flat back bling, & orange sparkle ribbon (RAK)
Others: Swiss Dots CB folder, Giga scalloped punch, Mega scalloped punch, scalloped edge punch, & clear Spica Atyou pen

Remember from Saturday...

...about the owl card in the mini mag holder? Well...now that I am letting my brain breathe...I'm posting it plus the others! Sorry about the late post...my brain is just waking up! LOL! Ok...so a while back on Joani's Yuku group there was a swap where everyone who signed up would send in something different to the hostess enough for those who joined to create kits and you would make as many cards as possible using ONLY what was in the kit. Well...let me tell you...it sure was a challenge as some of the stuff was stuff I don't normally use...but MAN was it fun to come out of my element and still try to create something AND LIKING IT! LOL! Here is what came in the kit: (I borrowed Kristen's pic...she was the hostess)

So here are the cards I made in the ORDER they were made. I didn't use everything pictured...but I did use what was in the package! Some stuff I just flipped to make it work! I have to say though that the owl one...it's just my all time fave! I don't know why...but I just love it! Oh...and I'll tell you beforehand...the leaf was actually a DP...I just flipped it and airbrushed it so I can make it work...lol. I don't know if that's cheating...but we'll see! Oh...did I mention Kristen has a box of goodies for the winning card! Everyone did a great job and I think some are still working on them etc...so I can't wait to see who wins. Everyone is a winner though because we SO rocked the challenge! If you wanna join Joani's Yuku group...check it out! There's also a tag over on the sidebar! *wink* Let Joani know I sent ya! Ok...with further A DO (however you say that!)

Anywho...those of you who know me more personally know that lately my brain hasn't been clicking with creations for Bombshell Stamps...especially with the challenge recently posted. The challenge was to make a Peek-A-Boo card. I don't think I've made one before...so thie was a definate challenge brought on...lol. Finally I came up with this card. I do have more colors but when using Bombshell...I always read for the colors mentioned! : O Anywho...this post is another shorty...tons to do!

One more year and my DS will be starting middle school and LV will be headed to HIGH SCHOOL! Holy moley! LOL! So with my daughter graduating to the next stage...I thought I'd post Graduate Anya! She is too darn cute in her cap and gown! For some reason I still can't graduate myself from using red & black...lol. HELP!

Anywho...I'll be keeping this one short because later on I will be posting another Anya/Ian card to be a stop on Club Anya's BLOG HOP! Oh....sweet child o' mine!

Singing along? Good! LOL! Here I used this Ian AND Anya to morph into Axl Rose of Guns N Roses. This is a card I made for Club Anya's Rockin' Rebel challenge! If you haven't seen the gallery...OMG you are missing out on some drool worthy rockers! Check them out!

I'll keep this one short as I'm getting the house ready and clean because since my dad turned 87 on Tuesday the 24th...we're gonna have a little party for him tomorrow AND on Sunday.

I'm also prepping for a There She Goes BLOG HOP to sneak peek the new releases that are coming out to the public on April 1st...and it's NOT A JOKE! LOL! Sooooo...hope to see you hoping along! The blog hop goes LIVE at midnight EST Saturday the 28th! It's a release you don't want to miss!

Twilight Release Saturday!

And it's also in-sync with me posting about a swap I joined for New Moon! Co-in-ki-dink? Nah...just right timing! LOL! Ok...I first want to apologize for the late post...I was out shopping and forgot to auto-pilot this post last night. So when I joined the swap I decided to do a full card spot and an ABAC spot. For the full card spot I thought back to when Edward returns with Alice and Bella from Italy...so it was perfect to use Hand in Hand with that sentiment! You can't tell from the picture...but Edward has some sparkle on his hand. Then I also went and tried out the techinique recently used on SCS using ribbon to make a frame. WOW! It sure gives it that extra something! Here is the tutorial on how to make this frame.

Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, RHRed, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Hand in Hand
Embellishments: ribbon from Flourish
Others: Lables 3 Nesties & Crop-A-Dile

Now for the ABAC spot...I went with notepads. Quote is printed onto CS and then stamped with the tulip from Flourishes. I even used LV's Copics to color the flower and stem. I may make matching pens...but I'm afraid they'll get smashed and broken in transition...not from me to the hostess...but from the hostess to the swappers. I could send them in a box...I'll think about that one though!
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, RHRed, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Copics (gasp I know)
Stamps: Thank You from Flourishes
Embellishments: ribbon from Flourish
Others: eyelet border punch & notepad
POST EDIT: list of supplies added 3/23

Slooooow doooown!

Ha! Maybe I should take this snails advise! Don't you think? Maybe then I wont feel so stressed and tired! Hmmm...

Anywho...this card here is for a swap over on SCS hosted by celestial_stamper. We're to use any new release stamp set from There She Goes. I decided to use Slow & Steady! I'm not a big fan of snails...but my little one...Lizzie...loves them...LOL! If I was to see a snail this cute in my garden though...I would have second thoughts!

Ok...so I'll keep it short and sweet today. I got lots to do for my parents...doctor visits and what not...so I'll end it at that!

Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: C2Cocoa, OOlive, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Slow & Steady
Embellishments: ric rac ribbon
Others: Top Note die, Swiss Dots CB folder, white gel pen, scalloped punch, & circle punch

Fairy Nice Window Treat Boxes

Yes...I made some window treat boxes! BUT...it's a twist from the one tutorial that's out there! How? You'll see in a video tutorial I'll be adding next. It's in the cutting floor right now AND then I need to convert it. Since I'm making them using my old dinosaur computer my brother gave me...I have the old version of Windows Movie Maker...so I wont have it up on Monday as thought. :( BUT I will be adding it this coming week. Here are the boxes I made today though so you can check 'em out! Those who know me well know I'm SUPER addicted to fairies...so I used all 3 fairies from The Greeting Farm! Their names are Tink, Eva, & Chloe! They are the newest addition to my family of rubbah! LOL!

This is Chloe! She is the bubble gum fairy guarding this treat box of bubble gum! She also goes by her middle name...Rosita!

This here is Tink! She's the chocolate ball guardian! Watch out...this is not your ordinary Tink...this one will claw at you if you try to swipe the chocolates!

And last but not least is sweet Eva! She's the mint fairy! She's so cool to the taste. She's the guardian of all things minty. Here's she guarding her chocolate mint kisses saved for her bittersweet owner...ME! :P We mesh well!

Now I want to give you a moment of *GASP*! I had to try out LV's Copics for this minty cutie! I tell you...I really don't see the big of a difference in these and Prismas! Check that out!

LOL! *GASP* huh? Since LV hasn't used them yet...I thought I'd give them a test drive first to see if they were safe for LV...lol!

I'll post supplies soon!

Hugs,

Gabby

LV's 13th birthday card!!! OMJ!!!

LMBO...what's OMJ you ask? Well...it's a term LV uses with her friends. Instead of our OMG...she says OMJ for OH MY JONAS! Yeah...I know! *rolls eyes* Well...since her 13th birthday is coming up on March 1st...I thought I'd make her a card featuring her boys...The Jonas Brothers! She has been a long time fan...when they were first coming out on the scene...about 2006 I think...well it's been since 2007 that she's shown MUCH more interest in them. I guess she had to grow into herself to finally give in to the "hearthrod-ish" fanatisicm. She loves these boys to no end...so what better thing to incorporate into her birthday card than no other than the Jo Bros!? LOL! I had to make Hello Ian and Dress Me Ian into curly heads because there's no curly hair Ian (or buddy...hint for Marie *wink*). It's funny because I think I got them to the T!!! Including their own unique "style". Cute huh? I hope she likes it! She better because I worked really hard on them! LOL! Oh...and I also used colors from her other favorite thing right now...Twilight. Here are her boys...the Jonas Brothers. BTW...her favorite is Joe...the straight hair one in the middle! AND I HAVE TO CONFESS...I don't care how much I get ridiculed...LMBO...but I have a tiny crush on the older JB...Kevin ( on the left). *blush* He's the one with the best fashion sence...IMHO! :P

Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, RHRed, Bright White, & B&W Butterfly DP from MAMBI
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Hello Ian, Dress Me Ian, Clothing Access., Chef Ian, & Things Hanna Would Say
Embellishments: Prima flowers, flatback bling, & glitter stickers
Others: scalloped punch, circle punches, & ticket notch corner punch

Gabby

I'm on a roll...

...after some nice sleep after my caffeine binge...lol...I am on a roll and I managed to make some stamping time for 3 cards! These cards featured today are for Stamps & Smiles first sketch promoting their new line of stamps. Head on over to S&S blog to enter to win some stamps! Check out my entries for the sketch!

First is this card I not only made for the sketch challenge...but I also made it for my soon to be 10 year old DS who LOVES cupcakes especially with sugar crystals...lol. Check out how I freehanded some arms in...LOL! Oh...and one even took their hand off the top cupcake to hold a banner!!! Thanks cuppy cake! LOL! Could you believe I am being good using my scraps? Yup...this DP was in my scraps! I also JUST REALIZED today that I had that blue/aqua textured CS in my CS/DP cart! I bough this CS about 2 years ago on eBay!!! Dang do I know how to hoard...or forget to use the good stuff...lol! Now...would you eat such cute cuppy cakes? YUM! LOL!

Prismacolor Markers used:

Supplies:
CS/DP: WWasabi, , DP vendor unknown (from my scraps), Textured CS from unknown vedor (from hoarded pile), & Bright White
Ink: BBlack, BGray, & Prismas
Stamps: Stamp A Sweet Impression by Taylored Expressions (link on my sidebar)
Embellishments: Diamond Stickles & flatback bling
Others: oval Coluzzle

Next is this OH SO SWEET Miss Anya! She was inspired by LV in her "before she became a rocker chick" stage. I use to dress her in pinks with ribbons in her hair and what not. Man I miss those days. BUT...I still got Lizzie to play "pinky dress up" with. Can you believe my LV is gonna be 13 on Sunday??? Yup...I'll officially have a teen! Let the gray hairs start flowing! No...she's a good girl...just not my girly anymore. Another thing I was hoarding were these cute rub-ons! What was I thinking? I've spent too much money to heard! That DP...yup...also in my scraps pile! *rolls eyes* Anywho...whatcha think? I'm actually proud of myself and patted my back...lol. Check out the cute pearl frame! Ok...this is so sweet I shall say myself that I am getting a tooth ache! Sorry to toot my own horn...I'm just very proud of these cards being that I'm not feeling 100% well.
Tomorrow I'll show ya card #3!!! It's a DOOZY!!! It's LV's 13th birthday card made with stuff she just LOVES...you'll see what I mean! *wink*

Prismacolor Markers used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: C2Cocoa, PPirrouette, DP from scraps, & Bright White
Ink: BBlack & Prismas
Stamps: Miss Anya
Embellishments: flatback pearls, satin ribbon, stitch rub-ons, & Diamond Stickles
