Tuesday Morning Sketches #45

Hello and Happy Tuesday! I wont flood you with too much blah blah as I tend to do so I'll just get to it. Not feeling all that great and need some serious down time. Sorry guys!

This weeks sponsor for Tuesday Morning Sketches is There She Goes stamps! I just participated in the Mother of all Blog Hops! Pretty cool!

Anywho...this is the sketch and my take on it using the set "Let's Get Together". Head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches to see what the other girls are up to and then make sure to play along!

Hope tomorrow is a better day...

TSG Mother {'s Day} of all Blog Hops

Hello and welcome to your very first stop on the Mother of all Blog Hops-blog hop...lol. This is very intimidating as I never liked being first at ANYTHING...ACK! Why did my last name have to start with an "A"? :P BUT I am so happy to be here none the less! When I found out that Jessica and Holly we're arranging this blog hop welcoming costumers AND past Trendsetters I jumped on the occasion! I was a Guest Trendsetter in April of '09 and that was fun times!

So here we go! If you came to me through the There She Goes blog...then you are on the right path! If you just happen upon my blog and would like to join in the hop...head on over to the There She Goes blog to read up on any important info about the hop! Ok...you ready now...coolio!

This weekend I am representing 3 sets...YES...THREE!!! First I signed up for "A-Z & 1, 2, 3". But then there were sets still uncalled for so I jumped on the opp to also rep the oh so LOL "Tastes Like Chicken" from when I was a Trendsetter and "Nature of Friendship" because during my time with TSG...I made some new awesome friends. Side note...I've been an awful friend lately and I apologize for all my friends whom I've neglected...so the Nature of Friendship card is for you ALL! :D

This project I made is this tote for my MIL for Mother's Day. This was an idea pitched to me by my awesome Ho (don't ask...lol) Kelli Jo who you will be visiting somewhere down the hop! I was stressed for ideas for a Mother's Day gift and BANG...she said stationary! Thanks KJ! :P Love ya! Love how you can use this set to personalize anything! I altered a notepad and stamped the inside pages with my mother in laws initial to match the cover and tote. Mis Notas is My Notes in Spanish. Then I made a postage stamp envelope and stamped "estampillas" which is stamps in Spanish. Lastly I altered a dollar store find...an address book with "direcciones" meaning addresses also in Spanish and then a matching RSVP pen. I hope she likes it! See the fun things you can do with this set?

Next is my Nature of Friendship card. I decided to keep it plain and simple and make a CAS card to feature it's beauty. This set doesn't need too many layers... I used Old Olive, Basic Black, and Elegant Eggplant to stamp the images and greeting. You can click on it for a larger image to read the sentiment. It had been a while since I used my SU inks all thanks to my Copics...lol! Nice break...

Finally here is my Tastes Like Chicken card. I remember when I first got the set to play with...I was dying! I was literally ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MY BUTT OFF! I know this wasn't a very popular set with many during the sneak peeks and it was the talk of the town at SCS...but I have a funny and sometimes strange sense of humor so this was so up my alley! Dark nasty alley...lol! Hope you enjoy this card! My last one was well...a bit "tasteless". If you wanna see what I'm talking about..you can see it here! I thought it was pretty hilarious! This one I went a bit more classy...lol! Hey..."those people" this set was meant for have class too dangit! x}

Ok so I leave you now on your way to visit the next stop on the hop which is the awesome

It's a pretty long trail...but I KNOW you'll enjoy it! So grab a cup of your favorite drink, kick back and enjoy the hop!

Jessica and Holly...thanks so much for having me guys! Fun times! :D

Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps!

Hey all...just wanted to let you know that today is Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! :D Here is my card I made to show you what can be done with one of the freebies! I made it on the fly because I had to go to the hospital again for my anxiety. But when I got home from the hospital after I had my Ativan...I colored this image up and created this card. If you go to Bugaboo Stamps and the freebies are still not up...don't fret...just go back later in the day...or the next day...they're there for a week! ;)

Go check out Bugaboo Stamps and pick up your freebies...and while you're at it...some more of these adorable images Jodie carries! They are so much fun to work with! :)

Alright...I'll leave you at that. I need some rest...doctors orders! Until then...HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

There She Goes on Tuesday Morning!

HUH? LOL...yes I woke up happy as ever that it's Thursday and I get to have a ME day where I can stamp all day if I like. BUT knowing me...I'll end up cleaning something! LOL! Maybe I should re-do my tiny craft room!? We'll see what ends up happening! Maybe I'll work on some cards for a little something I plan on announcing on Friday the 30th! I'm pretty stoked for this!

Anywho...I managed to combine challenges again. I like it when a challenge blog is OK with one combining challenges...I think it makes a card funner to work on. I don't like feeling "commited" to just one thing...lol...except marriage of course! Ok...so I combined challenge #1 which is for Melissa's Tuesday Morning Sketches. Mel came up with this fun sketch to play with and guess who's sponsoring this week? The awesome sweetheart that is Jessica of There She Goes. I am so glad I got to guest trendset for her a while back. :) SO...Miss Jessica has a challenge of her own set by the awesome Maki! The challenge is to dry emboss! I LOVE playing with my Cuttlebug whether it be using with my embossing folders or with my nesties. I just love my green bug! OH...and this is my very first time working on the INSIDE of a card! :O I always leave them blank but now that I made this one with the inside done...I may be doing it more often. I like how it looks on the inside...lol.

Copics:
Supplies:
CS/DP: C2Cocoa, CChip, OOlive, Georgia Pacific white, & UKV DP
Ink: CChip, Momento black, & Copics
Stamps: You're So Punny from There She Goes
Embellishments: raffia
Others: CB folder

BTW...if you haven't seen my side bar over there <-----------...then you haven't seen that I started a blog for Ozzy Inkz. I'll be posting his digi's there and will also post projects made with them. Believe me...this boy is working up a storm working on the Christmas ones. He even made some robots! :O Believe me...your jaw will drop to the floor when you see these robots! OMG! Also LV got jealous and did some cuties of her own...they just need some cleaning up.

I think I hit another Triple Double!

Hey ya'll! A bit late for posting huh? Well on Wednesdays Lizzie enters school early so I can either A. come to my desk and stamp after I drop her off or B. take a small nap! Well...today I did a bit of both! I initially came to my desk to stamp...but ended up falling alseep and "napping" for 30 minutes. I didn't even know I had passed out! LOL! Yeah...that tired!

(CLICK ON PICTURES FOR LARGER VIEW)

Anywho...I made this card last night and finished it off this morning for 3 challenges once again! I like being triple-dog-dared! LOL! Remember that when you were a kid..."I triple dog dare you to..."! X] Well that's what I did...to me! I took on the following challenges!

1. Tuesday Morning Sketches using the following sketch by Melissa!

2. Anyone For Anya to use Buttons, Bows, & Brads...OH MY! You can use any combination on your card...so I went for all 3! I'm really liking making button clusters...IDK Y? But I do! I don't make them that often so I thought I'd take advantage of the challenge. I love brads...and who can resist ribbon? Yeah...I didn't think so!

and last but not least...

3. The Greeting Farm's "It's Inside What Counts"! I always tell LV that. Since she's hit that age where she's finding "inperfections"...she needs to be reminded that even though SHE might see something she doesn't like on the outside...it's her inside that counts! ;) Am I right? Ok...but now I'm getting off topic...lol...the challenge is to do something with the inside of your cards. Mine are always blank so this was fun...to work with the inside.

So whatcha think? Homerun? :P

Ink: BBlack, RRust, CChip, & Copics

Something new...my new craft!

Thanks to seeing some beautiful crocheted flowers as embellishments...I decided to embark in a new adventure! First let me tell you...I bought 40 flowers from Joani of Cards Made By Hand for $20 and my hubby said...why not make your own! Of course I was intimidated and was SUPER happy when I got my flowers from Joani (her momma Rose makes them...and beautifully too) that I said there is NO WAY I'll be able to make these...well...I was wrong! I went to Mike's with hubby and the kids since HE was pushing me to do it (he wants me to be thrifty now...lol) and I grabbed me some 4 ply yarn and a few needles to start. I bought hot pink, red, lime green, purple, & black. Well let me tell you...I found this OH SO EASY video on YouTube and went from there...30 minutes later...I made my first flower! *GASP* It looks a bit weird...duh...beginner here...but I'm actually very proud of my first DEE DEE REE flower! LOL! (dee dee ree courtesy of Carlos Mencia) So without further adieu here is my first flower! Please don't laugh too hard ok? It's my baby! :P

Just look at how pretty these flowers look on cards! Here is a CAS (?) card I made just for the heck of it. Stamps used are all from There She Goes clear stamps!

Have a great Friday and an even greater 3 day weekend! I'll probably be away...so if you don't see me post...you know I'm gone!

Supplies:
CS/DP: Kraft, BBlack, & WWhite
Ink: BBlack
Stamps: There She Goes
Embellishments: crocheted flower, flat back bling, & Stickles in Icicles

The last of the caddies...until I make another...lol!

Yes...here is yet another caddy I made for a Twilight series swap I'm in...we're on Eclipse right now! I signed up for both a card spot and an ABAC spot. I was stuck on idea for the ABAC's until I re-read the book again and kinda wished I was being "kidnapped" by Alice and given a mani-pedi! I guess I wanted to do something out of the ordinary...something not expected and so I made these! I wanted to go all out because I doubt I'll be joining anymore swaps even after the ones I'm in are done. I just got myself into something that's taking lots of my time away from crafting and I hope the HO's understand. You can find the tutorial HERE!

I'm a bit stuck on the cards and they're due July 1st...I have the idea and what not...but I can't seem to unstick myself from the blank canvas and come up with a nice LO. Must be that I'm just feeling tired both mentally and physically now. Oh well...I hope I can push them out soon because I have to make 6. YIKES!

Ok...I just escaped to autopilot this post so I apologize my lack of blah blah! :P Maybe it's a rest for ya huh? ;) I'll post again soon...like I said...sporadically! Continued thanks for the kind words! HUGS!!!

Copics used:
Supplies:
CS/DP: BBlack, RHRed, Bright White, C. C. Designs, & Rockabilly DP
Ink: BBlack & Copics
Stamps: BC Dzyns And Then I Said & There She Goes She's A Lady
Embellishments: May Arts double sided satin ribbon
Others: eyelet border punch, scalloped punch, 1 1/4 circle punch, & 1 3/8 circle punch

It's There She Goes Tuesday once again!

And here is another card made with There She Goes April release stamp set Tweeterpated! This time I chose to go with a CAS card. It was hard for me not to add more stuff to it...but I have to bring myself to making these cards...not only are the simpler to make...but it makes a card more elegant looking and not so cluttered and busy like I'm used to...lol. This set is too cute because it's so versatile... Whatcha think?

I know...another short post. I'm just so brain cluttered that I really can't think! Let me do some brain Spring cleaning and you'll once again have my crazy posts...lol!

Supplies:
CS/DP: WWhite, Bazzil Bling Hot Pink & Summer Yellow (I name my own colors when I don't know the actual colors...lol!
Ink: RRose & SSaffron
Stamps: Tweeterpated
Embellishments: SU ribbon
Others: Spica Glitter pen clear

There She Goes Tastes Like Chicken!

And according to my DH...it does! EWWWWW!!! He's actually had possum! *GAG* We have one that passes by in our yard on our brick wall and OMG he's sooooo creepy looking! His beady little eyes...*shivers*! Still I could use this possum to stamp! When I saw this set I initially wanted to use the possum for the sneak peek...but HAD to use the couch for piecing practice. I'm getting a bit rusty there! Anywho...I was googling possum pictures and came across one I had to use! It was of a possum in the middle of the road and apparently the ones who paint the street line dividers didn't bother moving it...or just thought they'd paint over it for kicks and giggles! I hope this card gives you the giggles! Please...no hate comments! From looking at some posts on SCS about this set...not everyone likes or even gets the humor to this! I'm the kind who loves humor...so this is so me and I so get it! LOL! This card is yet another try at my hand with Copics. Practice is needed...so be gentle with your comments! LOL! Notice how I made the LO to look like the road? LOL! Thanks to sketch challenge #220.

These cards I made for today's sneak peek looks JUST like something you can find in or AT my aunts house! She has a couch just like the one in card 1!!! That's where I drew inspiration from! Only she had that clear plastic cover on it AND IT ALSO HAS HOLES...come on Tia (aunt)!!! She also has an old toilet in her front yard WITH FLOWERS!!! OMG...she's related to my mom! LOL! :P ONLY my mom isn't as redneck as her...lol...notice I said "as"! Like I said...we all got a little redneck in us! For the toilet fixture card I wanted to add I used 2 SCS challenges...sketch #218 and color challenge 210! NO EMBELLISHMENTS! *gasp*

There She Goes Blog Hop: Sneak Peek DAY 2!!!

Hello and welcome back to another day to the HOP! If you came to me from Faith's blog...you're on the right track! If not...then jump on back to the beginning to Jessica's blog to begin your hopping journey.

Today we'll be sneak peeking Tweeterpated! Say that 10 times! LOL! :P

The card I made for today's sneak peek just screams SPRING BABIES!!! I had a Spring baby almost 5 years ago and she is the sweetest little chiclet! Man where has the time gone??? It's no wonder I feel old! YIKES!

Anyways...lol...I decided to go with the neutral baby look for this card I made to sneak peek this set. You never know who's next of your friends or family to break the preggers news and chose to NOT tell the sex! Hey...it's happened to me and HATED being in a scramble to find a boy or girl card! This one here saves you the running around like a chicken with it's head cut off...lol! Right?

Man...this is when I wish I would have had some yellow flock to use for the baby chick! I chose to paper piece the eggshell instead of coloring it in. I had the baby chick colored a day before with ONLY the shell in white but then thought it looked a bit too BLAH...boring! Can you believe that dotted DP was in my scraps file? That's a big piece!! LOL! A little bling is ok for boys...right?

Ponder

This set is not ONLY for babies...it's also great for Spring and Easter! It is very versatile and not to mention...stinkin' cute! Whatcha think?

Want the chance to win this set? Well...all you have to do is leave a comment on all the blogs from point A to point Z and then head on back to Jessica's blog at the end of the hop and add your name to Mister Linky! Tongue Out 1
I decided to go with the designer bakery cupcake look. See the shimmer? I used my now stuck to my hand Clear Atyou Spica pen! Check out the pearls too! Thanks to this set...now my little Lizzie wants cupcakes JUST LIKE THIS for her birthday coming up next month...she'll be 5! YIKES! Ok...so I'll keep it short and sweet today. I got lots to do for my parents...doctor visits and what not...so I'll end it at that!

There She Goes ATC's!

So I said a while back I was in a ATC swap on SCS right? And I showed you the ATC for my first spot...Starbucks obsessed? Remember? Well...I FINALLY came up with my second spot. Since I had lost my stamping bug...I couldn't think of ANYTHING to create...and it hit me like a Mack truck...that's when I KNEW my stamping bug came back (I gave my muse a vaca)! I had been sitting just looking at my TSG sets I have and I saw it!!! My vision was like a choir of angels...lol...no kidding!!! I was even amazed after I got done coloring that even after a lost bug mode...I came back with a vengance. NOW...I'm not saying that this is my best coloring...BUT DAYUM I love how the coloring came out! Look at the wood post...it looks like the mailbox is giving off a shadow! I even love the color combo I used! Anywho...I'll let the air out of my head and bring it back down to size...lol. But what do you think? Oh duh...all the tooting of the horn and I didn't mention the one thing that made me burst at the seams with pride...you know the hearts that come with this set? Well...I turned them into CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES!!! I even used Chocolate Bliss scented embossing powder by gelatins!!! I know...it's no big deal right? But to me it was a genious idea! LOL!

POST EDIT: Still 101 fever mark this morning...but I am NOT gonna let it distract me. I have so much to do with so little time to do it...so I'll be off and on and will have a late post to showcase an LV project I'm working on made with an AWESOME little stamp! TOO FREAKIN' CUTE FOR WORDS I must add...so come back later on to check it out and where you can get it (and more ;) ) Back to my tea and cool towel presses.

Prismacolor Markers used:

Starbucks Obsessed?

Well...yes! I need to have my Sbux daily or I'm a mad woman! Really...I am! I think it's kicking the butt (cigarette that is) that's now got me hooked on the Bux! But I think this is better than the nicotine...right? Anywho...here I made these ATC's for a swap on SCS hosted by one of my all time crazy @$$ favorite Ho's...Kelli Jo! :P It's funny because it also coincides (how ever you spell that...lol) with the challenge Jessica (Knutsen on SCS) of There She Goes posted! Man...these stamps are awesome! Check her out! I have a link on the sidebar on where to drop some $bucks$! So worth it! I placed my second order last night and can't wait to play with my new stamps. I also can't wait for the release! :D

I hadn't made ATC's in a good minute...so it was pretty cool to break out of the cards. Now to create my second set of ATC's! To the thinking chamber...BUM BUM BUM! :P
