Hello all and HAPPY FRIDAY! I am SOOO glad the week is over. That means a few more days and we're off to Disneyland! WOO HOO! My gosh I haven't been to Disneyland in AGES and I live maybe 20 minutes away? My BIL works there and he gets passes...so since it's Lizzie's birthday on the 16th...he's giving us the passes to have her birthday there! Awww...isn't he sweet!?
Ok...now onto what I'm here for...lol...Paper Makeup's Makeup 4 The Weekend! The challenge set by Lisa K. this week is to create anything using a template! Since I had been itching to use Lauren Meader's Pick of the Petals template...I decided to print it out and work on it! This is my first...so it's kinda hideous...lol...NO...I kid! Still I had to make it because I made this HUGE cupcake for a very deserving person who has no idea how much she's impacted my life and that of my family. She'll know who I'm talking about when she receives it. ;)
I used Creamy Caramel for the base and Cameo Coral (I think that's the name...lol) since I didn't have pink to match the cupcake. Then I crocheted a larger flower to top it off and punched a few leaves and a butterfly. The center is a flatback pearl. The 3X3 card was made using the stamps set Sprinkles and Cherries.
Alright...I'll let you go so you can play along with us. Check the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to check out the full deets! ;) Hope to see my friends...my followers play along!
Ciao!

It's been crazy...but...
I still want to make sure I post if not daily...every other day. So here is a couple projects I worked on a couple weeks ago for a swap of a friend on SCS. The swap calls for using the Top Note die and so I signed up for 1 card spot and one ABAC spot. I really like how they both came out. :) IDK!
Hope you like and sorry for the lack of blah blah which I'm known and loved for...LMBO! :P Oh...and with these projects...there were no use for Copics or Prismas!!! *GASP* Don't worry...I'm ok!

Sweet November in December
Hey peeps...what is up!? Just here still fighting an ugly cold with horrible body aches! I feel like I fought a MACK truck...and LOST! LOL!
So I bought Amy's OH SO CUTE fairies when they released and hadn't used them since so today I want to show you a card I made using Fidget Goblinspider. I made her with some Christmas spirit...she's so ready for the 25th! I made some spots on her hair to match with her dress and filled them in with Diamond Stickles. She was colored with Copics and Prismas. Crocheted flowers are those I bought from Joani's mom Rose. I just got too lazy to make my own...plus I still had the ones I bought...so I had to use those. LOL! alright...back to the couch I go to drink some lemon tea and rub some Vapor-Rub on my chest. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving friends!
Happy Thanksgiving my American friends! Hope today is a blessed day and you are surrounded by your loved ones and make sure to not forget the small stuff we seem to forget to be thankful for.
I am thankful for my children, my husband, my family in general, the roof over our heads, the foodie in our bellies and last but not least...everyday being graced with the Lords ways of blessing us.
I am also thankful for all my online friends. You are my second family as I seem to let everyone in on my life. Good or bad...you're there and I thank you.
Today as I give thanks I will have you all in my big ol' heart! They better have enough food at the in-laws for all of y'all! LOL!
HUGE hugs from the Arriaza clan!

World Card Making Day Hangover
Hey all...are you still recovering from World Card Making Day? I am...lol...I had a massive hangover! LOL! Seriously...I woke up with a nasty headache and my tummy ached and I felt nausea! LOL! I got over it though checking out the leftover on SCS challenges! :P
I made this card here for the Sugar Nellie challenge. A sketch was issued and I went for it. Plus I haven't used my Gorjuss Girls a lot...so I had to join in on the challenge. Read more about the challenge here: Sugar Nellie WCMD09K. Lately I've been using a lot of sketches to work my card...and I love it because sometimes I can't think of great LO's! I need that extra KICK to get me going. Plus the sketch provided was super fun and out of the "norm" for me. I also decided to break out Big Bertha again since I already got it use to me. LV's been teaching me to use more than just the zig-zag and straight sew on just one card. I swear this girl...UGH! LOL! Now I'm hooked on sewing different patterns.
This next item I made was for the Magnolia challenge! We were asked to make either an ornament OR a card with an ornament hanging. I have TONS of round coasters that I haven't used so I decided to go for it and break those out. I think I'll be making my own ornament using my favorite stamp companies for my tree this year. :D Maybe that'll be my theme this year? We'll see how that goes! Read up on the challenge here: Magnolia-licious Ornaments WCMD09F. Pretty cool eh? ;)
Ok...I'll let you go now! I'm having a major malfunction in my brain...I think I'm losing mojo! I tried to make another card to post tomorrow but can't shake anything out! I need more challenges! LOL! Hopefully I can shake off this bug and keep my mojo. Maybe I'm thinking that in a few days it's my mom's birthday...she would have been turning 73 on the 12th. God I miss her so... :(

Woo Hoo...post #2!
Great...now I'm rhyming! LOL! I guess that's what World Card Making Day is doing to me! I am in such a great mood today! House is clean...food is cooked...kids are happy coloring images...what more can I ask for? Oh yeah...NOTHING! I have it all today! I'm stamping and coloring and making cards...oh joyful day! :D
So here I just finished this card for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for week 5. It's titled Sew Happy! I have my fat Bertha (my sewing machine) resting permanently on my desk now and when I saw this challenge thanks to the awesome Vicki of Summerthyme Studio I had to break out Gooseneck to work with when I saw her Stampotique gal! I love her work...but I simple ADORE the things she does with Stampotique stamps by Daniel Torrente. I love those stamps so much that I don't dare use them so I don't wear them out...lol. They remind me of The Nightmare Before Christmas characters...very dark but awesomely interesting! Here I used the lovely Gooseneck. She was actually inspired by the dark Kerli and her music video Walking on Air. I just love that video...it's so me! Here is the video so you can see where I drew inspiration from.
Ok...I'll be back on later again in hope of a third post to reach my personal goal! ;)

Early Monday post!
Hey there! I wanted to post this early instead of auto-piloting to make up for not only NOT posting on Friday but also because I'll be BUSY tomorrow! I'm gonna be working on some stuff that's close to being due and I don't like rushing when making my cards anymore. I use to just rush through them and not like the outcome. It's happened recently...but most def. for sure not on this card!
This card took me 1 hour to complete! Why? I honestly don't know. I guess because I kept rearranging the elements and adding and subtracting other elements...lol. In the end though I loved the outcome! I even finally got to use one of the crochet flowers I bought from Joani! Her mom, Rose, makes them! I also got to use some lace trim I won in a lot on eBay. Also...I got to break out my SU Hodgepodge Hardware I hadn't used in AGES!!! LOL! I'm so glad I finally got this Anya...Birthday Anya! I didn't buy her...she was in my wishlist...but I did win it from Club Anya's "I Wanna Be Like..." contest. :D
Anywho...I'll cut this short by saying that this card was made for 2 challenges. Challenge 1: Anyone For Anya? Funky Flowers challenge! Challenge is to use flowers in your creation...I LOVE FLOWERS!!! O_O Challenge 2: The Greeting Farm-Farm Fresh Friday's "Emboss It"! Birthday Anya's diadem holding up that cake is embossed using gun metal EP. It's nice and subtle since I already have so much going on here...lol. Hope you like and thanks for stopping by! Have a great week and I'll see you soon!

Nope...it's not a card! *GASP* **EDIT**
So last night I didn't get any stamping done because I just HAD to go to YouTube and look up easy crocheting tutorials. Well...I've always wanted to know how to make beanie skull caps before I even tried to crochet. So I found this tutorial and HAD to make one! I still feel it in my fingers as I not only had the skull cap...but also the flower attached to it. Yet another of this ladies tutorials. At first when I started I said...'ok...I'll start it off and then take it with me when I pick up the kids' you know...to work it in stages? Well I couldn't stop! LOL! It got addicting and plus I didn't want to forget what stitch I had left off (numbers and crochets).
As soon as I was done with it...Lizzie tells me "oh mom...I want it"! So of course since I did it small and it couldn't fit MY fat head or LV's...I decided this one is for Lizzie! She was super happy with it on! She even waited for Oscar to get home to show him (he get's home after 11 at night). He was actually pretty proud of me and my cap. :D I went to be a happy camper!
Just this morning though when I took the picture I realized I had stitched on the flower backwards! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yeah...don't attempt finishing stuff off when you're half asleep! I'm gonna have to unstich it and flip it so Lizzie can wear it to school today...lol. Yeah...she wants to show it off to her teacher and friends.
Ok...so tomorrow's post I promise there will be some stamping! K? Thanks for putting up with my non stamping posts! ;) <3
I uploaded the pictures of Lizzie wearing her beanie cap! She was such a happy little girlie going to school ready to show off! I flipped the flower to the right side...lol...you can tell the difference! I also added a little jewel to the center of the flower. :)

Something new...my new craft!
Thanks to seeing some beautiful crocheted flowers as embellishments...I decided to embark in a new adventure! First let me tell you...I bought 40 flowers from Joani of Cards Made By Hand for $20 and my hubby said...why not make your own! Of course I was intimidated and was SUPER happy when I got my flowers from Joani (her momma Rose makes them...and beautifully too) that I said there is NO WAY I'll be able to make these...well...I was wrong! I went to Mike's with hubby and the kids since HE was pushing me to do it (he wants me to be thrifty now...lol) and I grabbed me some 4 ply yarn and a few needles to start. I bought hot pink, red, lime green, purple, & black. Well let me tell you...I found this OH SO EASY video on YouTube and went from there...30 minutes later...I made my first flower! *GASP* It looks a bit weird...duh...beginner here...but I'm actually very proud of my first DEE DEE REE flower! LOL! (dee dee ree courtesy of Carlos Mencia) So without further adieu here is my first flower! Please don't laugh too hard ok? It's my baby! :P
Just look at how pretty these flowers look on cards! Here is a CAS (?) card I made just for the heck of it. Stamps used are all from There She Goes clear stamps!
Have a great Friday and an even greater 3 day weekend! I'll probably be away...so if you don't see me post...you know I'm gone!
