Yuck. Carpet is gross. Especially carpet with pink puke stains on it. So, we got new flooring! (It was a decent enough excuse for us to act on a looong overdue desire.) Oak laminate is cleaner... and louder.
We love it.

Ha ha, Kiersten... wish away and may it bring you luck! Bob and Dresden, the flooring looks fabulous! Great move, and give Evelyn an extra hug since she had to pay a very personal price for this lovely flooring!
Hey that really does look swell. I know you will get used to the noise but it may take awhile. The other thing you will have to get used to is kids in stocking feet sliding all over, they will love that. Looking forward to seeing it.
Looks great! I hope you have a good steam mop...hard wood floors don't just need a good vacuuming...I am learning.
