Halloween 2019

The Bush family became secret service agents for the President of the USA for a couple of nights.

Our trunk or treat and our trick or treating evenings were perfectly suited (haha) for keeping an eye on our youngest president ever, President Gideon Bush, age 7.  Mom didn't have to worry at all about him that night since he had several seasoned secret service agents surrounding him!

Trunk or Treat 2016

All these years dressing up Bob and I promised each other that when we sent our first child on a mission we would dress up as missionaries for Halloween.  This worked out well, since Bob is deployed and I can't make costumes!
We had a lot of fun dressing up as missionaries and decorating our van as the "Van of Salvation"!

Celestial chocolate (white)
Terrestial chocolate (caramel)
Telestial chocolate (milk)
and
Outer Darkness chocolate (extra dark)

were the treats at the end of the evening!

National "I Love Reese's Day"

I'm forever finding funny holidays, and this one was a clear winner.  The kids were so excited to make treats and eat them too, of course!

Leslie went to the store and made a cookie/Reese's/brownie dessert which was F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S.

New Year's Day 2015

We love our tradition of doing something new on New Year's Day.  This year we hiked up to a cave on McKelligon Canyon.  It was a foggy day that turned sunny right as we began our hike.  It was beautiful!

Some of my favorite Christmas moments...

Other favorite moments not captured on camera:
*Fitting my run in at 5 in the morning and delivering a secret parcel

*The best batch of monkey bread I have ever made (the kids dipped, Leslie baked)
*Secret Santa gift exchange amongst the siblings
*Homemade gifts by Owen, especially the cutest little cardboard box wagon ever (made for Gideon) *Sharing Christmas with the missionaries and Mark Evans
*Evelyn and Gideon dancing in circles with a giant stuffed polk-a-dot monkey
*Cinnamon sugar roasted almonds
*When the missionaries opened their new journals
*When Mark got his unexpectedly filled stocking
*The missionaries' joy at opening toilet paper (the "good stuff!")
*The moment the kids figured out we were taking them on a CRUISE!

*Gideon's Christmas diet of candy, chocolate, and cake
*Turkey stuffed with ham and pineapple
