Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 Scale German Panzer IV - Finished

All that was left was to paint the tracks and other details.

Here are a few shots of the Tanks laying in wait for any unsuspecting enemy to break through the other side of the field.

The PSC models are really good in all departments, affordable, easy to put together and they have great detail. Looking forward to using them on the Battlefield.

Let me know what you think.

Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 Scale German Panzer IV - WIP

I started off with a primer which is grey, only because that is all I have at the moment.

The PSC kit is easy to assemble  and great value for money with 3 tanks in a box.

I like the Flames of War Tutorials and so have painted all my models in the camouflage as per the Open Fire video guide on their Official website.

Next layer was Valejo Middlestone.

Next a heavy wash of 60/40 brown black wash mix.

Followed by a drybrush of Middlestone. The base brown camouflage was a 50/50 mix of Middlestone and Chocolate Brown and a 70/30 Chocolate Brown and Middlestone mix for the center part of the camouflage. The green was a 50/50 mix of Reflective Green and Middlestone as a base then a 70/30 mix of Reflective Green and Middlestone for the center of the camouflage.

The trick is to 'feather' the edges of the camouflage to help the next step of blending the camouflage into the tank with a drybrush of Middlestone, followed by another drybrush of Middlestone and Bone or Ivory.

To finish I will paint the track and details and that should be it.

Stay tuned.
