Restarting my weekly journal

I have decided to restart my weekly Journal with a different Approach: find something positive each day and write it down. The Little gifts of the week that are passing by so often unattended.

Playing around with some Punch-Outs (a gift while trading atcs- really quite a while ago), a sizzix die, structure paste and some digi Images by deviant scrap, here´s my week 30. I love structure paste but working with it, I am a very messy Person :(

some more calendar pages

While journaling in my calendar I have realized that my prep pages had come to an end so I made one more today and  saw that I haven´´t shown you some others I made a while ago.

using up some paperscrap - yes I know not really a new idea with the houses - but I really enjoyed all the houses I have seen lately from others and could not withstand. One does not always have to reinvent the wheel :)

 

As you see I still try to keep a daily journaling ritual - but more often than not I do 3 days at a time thinking, of my God-what did I do yesterday.

but what would good resolutions be without  exceptions - nobody´s perfect

As Sarah is still ill (going in to the 3rd week with fiebre and the doctors not having a clue) I used the time she´s watching Grey´s Anatomy (yes, I have to admit it, we are big fans) to have fun with crowabout Studio B and my new de Stempelwinkel stamps

I used my new bottle stamp and stamped on magazine pages and then cut out.

and a "being in" or better "being over the clouds" (using once more artistic outpost) - I am not too happy with that scan - in the original you can see my distressed clouds better - but I think you get the idea.
The funky lady is from Crowabout Studio B and the plane from a mazine.

Dear friends,

I wish you all a happy Eastern and want to thank you for subscribing and commenting. Love to read your comments and they always give me the feeling not to be totally crazy crafting but that there are more people out there who do love the same as I do.


So here´s my week 21 with a traveling theme:

I almost forgot: there are some news I want to share with you. I am leaving the DT of de Stempelwinkel at the end of June, but for those who follow the blog, Jetske has found a great new DT member. You really should take a look. You can see some of the new DT member already in April.

It´s been a hard decision but I have to do more sports and less crafting. And being forced to limit my crafting time I wanted to be a free spirit, crafting whatever I want and whenever I have time.
And taking crafting online-classes (21 secrets) this will use up quite a bit of that time. I am going to show you my efforts :)

It´s a bird´s world for week 19. I used magazine pages for the bird silhouettes (this paper is great as it is not so thick) and doddled a little bit. Mod Podge glued everything together.

Calendar pages week 16 and 17

Here we go again - doing that weekly calendar makes me realize how much time is flying.  Keeping up with the weeks and journaling each week gives you a feeling of how short each time span is.

 

As you know I am not much of a sewer so isn´t it great that Hot of the press is helping me out :)

The funny guy you might have seen before (100 proof press) and the rest is a wild mixture of Hero Art, pink paislee and 7gypsies.
This page started completly different - but I did not really like it, great there is gesso :)

journaling calender week 14 and 15

Proudly presenting week 14 and 15 of my journal, using some of my rub-ons stash. Don´t know about you, but I am one of these persons who is hording crafting supplies - always thinking about that special idea I would need it for. So I "forced" myself to use my supplies before they are becoming antiques :)

Calendar page week 13

I made this little easter parade for week 13. I used a cut out egg (cricut) and circled around it with a black marker. The bunnies are from a sheet of poesy pictures.

journaling page week 12

This week came my new favourite stamp from dark room door and I had to use it (yes, sometimes I am like a little child :) ) and here´s what I made

I distressed and dylusioned the background and used some old Tim Holtz stencils - filling them with black acrylic colours. The funny guy was stamped separetly and adhered with gluestick - like the postage stamps.
The embossing folder is by Tim Holtz as well.
