Well, the end of the year is drawing near and I am really going to try hard not to have to make cards up the day before school ends! I usually do that and then run out of time and don't get everything made that I was hoping. So, this year I am starting with two weeks left. Go me!
This first card is for my older son's teacher. I used the same Making the Grade set by Cornish Heritage Farms that I used for teacher cards a lot last year. I also used their Lined Paper backgrounder stamped in Bashful Blue. The scallops along the side were made with the scallop border punch from SU! Along the bottom, stamped in Real Red, are the pencils from SU!'s Elementary Essentials set. The little apple is on a dimensional. I finished it off with a piece of Old Olive grosgrain.
My other son's teacher is getting married in two weeks so she gets a wedding card.
I have no idea what colours her wedding is, so I went with what I like! Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip on Shimmery White paper. The shimmer makes it tricky to photograph. Sorry about that...
Again, the scallops are made with the scallop border punch but I added small Hero Arts pearls to make it special. The damask pattern is made using Damask Designs but the sentiment is made using the SU! set Together Forever and a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. To finish this off, a soft pink satin ribbon from Offray was tied in a bow. I must look into getting some Fray-Check or something, because this ribbon seems to get raggedy fast.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by! Hope you have a wonderful Monday and a great week :)
