Happy Day

Oh, it certainly is a happy day! My stamps were waiting for me when I got home tonight :)

Here's the sneak peek card I managed to put together in the short time that I had before I had to get this post ready. I've got lots of ideas for this set, all I need is the time!

I used Cool Caribbean and Only Orange. It's an unusual combo for me, but I wanted something bright and summery. The ribbon is from Taylored Expressions and the flower brad is SU!. Main panel is, of course, on dimensionals.

Want a chance to win the new TSG set? Comment on all of the Trendsetter's Blogs on their Happy Day sneak peek post, go back to Jessica's and add your name to the Mister Linky. You do not have to have a blog to play along, you can also use the URL of your favorite online craft gallery!

Leave a comment here and then head over to Becky's blog to see what she's come up with.

Here are all the Trendsetters' blog links in case you get lost!

She's A Lady

Sorry ladies, but She's A Lady must be awesome since Customs seems to be holding her up from me! No She's A Lady card here, but I do have the card I made for the CAS12 over at SCS. The challenge is to use a scrap of ribbon on your card. Consider this my sneak peek post :)

It's a simple baby card (my favourite kind of cards to make) that uses a little bit o' ribbon. I always have pieces left over when I trim ends so this challenge is a great way to get ideas to use them up. I used the set Tweeterpated for this card. It's Certainly Celery and White and uses ribbon from May Arts and a SU! library clip to hold it in place.

But, back to the There She Goes details. Want a chance to win the new TSG set? Comment on all of the Trendsetter's Blogs on their She's A Lady sneak peek post, go back to Jessica's and add your name to the Mister Linky. You do not have to have a blog to play along, you can also use the URL of your favorite online craft gallery!

Next stop on the hop is Becky.

Number Three!

Hi all!

So, here's the last sneak peek you're going to get from me this month. It's from a fun new set called "Tastes Like Chicken". Oh, I know you're interest is piqued with a title like that!!!!
Just so you know, the hearts are not from the new set, but from the set called Special Delivery. But, I was thinking that the Special Delivery sentiment would also be awesome with this pick-up truck, no?

I used Kraft paper and coupled it with black and Regal Rose. That ribbon is from Taylored Expressions. It's so yummy....

Now, you must go off and check out the other Trendsetter's blogs to get a better idea of what this set is all about! If you'd like a chance to win this fun new set, first leave a comment here. Then head to the other ladies' blogs and leave a comment there as well. Start with Becky and keep on going! I'll list everyone at the bottom of this post so you don't miss anyone :) Once you're done, go back to visit Jessica and leave your name in the Mr. Linky box for today's preview. Pretty simple!

Now, off you go!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Monday :)

Another sneak peek for today

Hi all!

Thanks for stopping by today! Same drill as yesterday. If you hop along and leave a comment on each of the Trendsetter's blogs, then head back to Jessica's and leave you name with Mr. Linky, you'll be entered to win the set we're sneak peakin' today called Tweeterpated.

Here's a little preview of what's to come...

Is that not the cutest little chick you've ever seen? Adorable I tell ya!

My little chick is paper pieced using Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie and layered up using those colours as well as Whisper White. The chick is popped on a dimensional and I added some SU! ribbon and some other thin white ribbon from Michael's. That really cheap stuff that's like 59 cents a roll regular price? Yeah, that stuff. The white layer is popped up as well.

Thanks for stopping by today! Head on over to the uber-talented Becky's blog and see what cuteness she's come up with next. Don't forget to leave a comment at all the stops! I'll list them all at the end of my post so you can be sure you've not missed anyone.

A few other things... I want to keep you in the "free stuff" loop. :) Jessica sure keeps us busy with all the free stuff she gives away! :) There is a going away par-tay and you are invited to participate and maybe win some stuff! Check out the deets here. And hey, we are having a release party chat over Papercraft Planet from 7:00 - 9:00 pm (pacific) on Tuesday, March 31st. Stop by for a chat if you have a chance :)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today. Hope the rest of your day is great!

It's That Time Again?

A new month means new releases from There She Goes!

Here's a sneak peek of the first set called Cupcake Mix and Match. I used some Pixie Pink, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock. I paper pieced that adorable little cupcake and added a jewel from Kaiser Craft to make the cherry. The punch is SU!'s new border punch.

So, here is the deal. Leave a comment on this post and then head over to Becky's to see what she's come up with using the set. Leave a comment there too. Keep going until you've commented on all the Trendsetter blogs (I've listed them at the end of this post so you don't miss anybody!) and then head back to Jessica's blog to enter your name in the Mister Linky box to be entered for a chance to be randomly selected to win your very own Cupcake Mix and Match set!

Thanks for stopping by and good luck!!

Blog Hop and Sale

How fun is that?

First off, the sale details...

Everyone loves a sale and starting this month There She Goes will be having a Changing Of The Seasons sale! The sale will be from Friday the 20th (the first day of Spring!) - Tuesday the 24th. There are 4 stamp sets that are each 15% off! This season's sale sets are-

Crafty Taglines $12.75 (reg. $15.00)
LOL Taglines $18.70 (reg.$22.00)
Welcome Home $18.70 (reg. $22.00)
Special Delivery $12.75 (reg. $15.00)

And now, a little inspiration!

My assigned set for the hop was Welcome Home. I just love this set-even though it's not a silhouette set! Notice how I've never coloured it? (What you say? You don't hang on every detail on my blog? Fine then ;) Check out my other examples here and here.) Don't be intimidated by stamps that have lots of detail for colouring if you're like me and don't care for/suck at colouring. You don't have to!!!

Anyways, I attempted to use the colour challenge posted this week on SCS but wasn't able to work that Summer Sun colour in here so I abandoned that idea. I did use Riding Hood Red to stamp but made a boo boo and used Ruby Red cardstock (can't even tell-they are really quite similar) that I ran through the Big Shot with the SU! polka dot texture plate. Very subtle background. A bit too subtle. I'll have to play with those plates some more. The other colours on the card are Kraft and Basic Black.

Notice how I put the layer of black down, then the ribbon and then popped it up? As opposed to putting the ribbon right on the card base? That's something I like to do to give simple cards a little extra detail. It's a small thing, but I kinda like it. The ribbon is in a bow (stop me please, I can't get enough of the bow lately!) and a small key charm from A Buck or Two is tied with SU! gold cord.

And that's it!

Hope you liked this first stop on the blog hop! Check out the other Trendsetter blogs to see what they have been up to.

Blog Hop!

Hi!

Thanks for stopping by today! If you are a regular reader, thanks for coming back! And welcome to any new visitors. Hope you like what you see :)

Each of the There She Goes gals were assigned the challenge of creating a card/project based on a famous quote. We each were assigned a different set to use. My assigned set was Welcome Home.

Here's the card I came up with. The sentiment is computer generated.

I have been feeling the craft ink lately and loving the Top note die from SU! This card has a lot of similarity to this one. I've been wanting to try making a "real" window out of this door for a while and decided to try it out here. I have to be honest, it's not photographing well. Have you ever had that happen when taking a picture of a card? The card looks much better in your hand than it does on the screen? I'm thinking this card is not being done justice by the screen :)

Anyways, I used the set Welcome Home as I said. The house front and door images are stamped in Vanilla craft ink onto Basic Black paper and cut out with a Top Note die. The sentiment is printed with black ink onto Very Vanilla paper. I was sort of stuck working with black as that is the only kind of ink I had in my printer. The window was stamped again onto a projector transparency and heat set. The window on the black paper was carefully cut out with a craft knife and then the clear window layered under. The Top Note is on dimensionals as is the sentiment. A small button from my husband's grandmother's sewing basket that has a twist of May Arts ribbon is attached with a glue dot. The whole shebang is layered onto a vanilla base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hop on over to Stephanie's blog next and check out what she's created for you to see!

Have a great day,
