Here's a baby shower card I made for a dear friend who is adopting a baby boy who is due to be born any day now. I am sooooooo excited as she and her husband welcome this little one into their family! I can't wait to meet him :) I made a second stamped image panel and adhered it to the side of a plain white gift bag to coordinate the gift and card. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of that!
I really like this sentiment and thought it was perfect for an adoption. I used
Papertrey's Bitty Baby Blessings for both the sentiment and onesie image. They are both stamped in Basic Black ink. The onesie is stamped again on patterned paper (I think it's Making Memories) and pieced to the cardfront. I cut the Bashful Blue scalloped layer and white layer using Nestabilities dies, while the accent colour of Barely Banana was cut with a paper cutter. The image is adhered to the cardfront using dimensionals.
A row of piercing finishes it off and satin ribbon from Michael's finishes it off.
I have been doing very little stamping this week as I have been in my classroom getting it ready for the new school year which starts next Tuesday. In the evening, I have been coming home and hanging with the family and just crashing! I even got a pile of new SU! stuff last week and haven't touched it! *gasp* What I REALLY need to do is clean up my crafting space. It is such a mess that I can't even think about creating! I've been sorting all day at work so the last thing I feel like doing is cleaning up when I get home. Hopefully I will get a chance to tidy and stamp this weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer :)
