Gawd.
It's June already. Which's pretty crazy. We're past halfway into 09. Seriously!
Before I can share new June-stuff with you I need to get rid of my May stuff still not shared here, so here goes ;p

Above: A summery, messy Hambly-layout feat Prima & Maya Road.

My final Luxe-stuff (well, as a Luxe-DT-member anyways). A layout made with Ecology & a bit of Lovey - both new Luxe-lines :) Featured in the photo is our family & my husbands two cousins+family (well, cousin + cousin+her family :p).
Decided to write all our names on the layout -- I mean - even though we know very well who's who right now, I suppose it might not be that easy for the kids to know in like 20 years or so hm? Or when we're gone and like, our grand-grandchildren looks at this and goes woah who's all these old people and noones really sure :p HAH! :D

More teacards, this time w/the Lovey-line :)

And speaking of Luxe -- check out this peek at Simply Handmade for their June/July-issue -- mm I spot my Luxe-mini in the first photo :D

Right!
Thank you so much for your suggestions for London -- and if you're Norwegian, do check out Kari's lovely London-pages here and here feat. her class' teddy bears :) So cute and so educational :D

Will definitely drop by Camden Market for sure - so many of you have suggested this market! :) Any more suggestions still totally welcome - like, any fave eateries? Be nice if you'd care to share in this post if so so it's easier for me to have them all in one place :)

Ps! Her newest album was uh, disappointing wasn't? Ugh. Hate it :( Still a few nice songs though, but have to admit I had higher expectations :(

I really do adore this Luxe Designs-line "Ecology" - yum :)
The kids did a lot of things at the summerplace some weeks ago, including playing with the old boardgame "Den forsvunne diamant" (The missing diamond). I like watching the kids play peacefully together (ofc, Im their mom so Im supposed to I guess ;p) :)

Another thing I adore? 3d adhesive!!! :D Love making things pop out from the page - makes such a difference whenever you're like, outta ideas what to do to make the page look a lil more than okayish sorta :) I thought I had enough adhesive for a while but looks like I gotta restock the 3d ones soon :p

Tomorrow is the Norwegian Constitution Day and I'm just like "urgh". Lotsa people, gotta dress up the kids & me, walk w/the kids in the childrens parade and generally - endure crowds and stuff before I can escape home :p Ohwell. As long as the kids are having fun eh?

Ps. Did you see? Wall decals by Hambly!!
Ps2. Working on a commissioned minialbum atm. It's certainly a new experience, mhmm.
Ps3. Did you know that cucumberplants are SUCH DRAMAQUEENS????? :p

Hi there!
Missed me?
Been a week since my last blogpost, which's an eternity according to the norm. Sorta.
It's been quite an intense week, w/husband at the hospital and all that hoopola, but luckily that one got a happy ending once the docs finally decided to do an op, w/him at home now and very quickly recovering - YAY!

Kk, over to the scrappy stuff! I finally got around to play w/my new Luxe stash - Ecology is such a lovely line!

This project has been on my mind for quite some while now -- but I didn't seem to find the time to do this until quite recently... I searched the web for possible templates for this for a few hours before giving up and deciding to make my own... I wanted a kind of card-box in which I could mail off little teabags to friends...small samples of tea I love....(and ofcourse, I'm outta all my fave-teas and only have the sucky tea left so I'm gonna have to wait with mailing this for a while - it's not nice mailing people tea you don't like yourself..I think...but then again, how will I ever get rid of these, hmm... and people do have different taste,..... :p)

Inside this card there's two mini-boxes with room for two teabags each :) LOVE the woodgrain-pattern on the inside here :) Making this template was much easier than I thought - just measured the teabags and drafted on a piece of paper before doing a real template-test on cardstock (which can be used over and over again for future projects) and finally using the cardstock-template to trace this upon the patterned paper :)

Materials used: Luxe Designs - Ecology, American Crafts - brads (LOVE the color!), Bazzill - thread

May means confirmation-season here in Norway and this is a card I made for my sister-in-law's oldest son. When I first started scrapbooking back like, 3-4 years ago, one of the coolest cards I saw back then was one that resembled a wallet. I haven't really seen one since then - maybe it was just a fad back then?? but anyways - figured it fit with the confirmation-theme and all (haha ;p). The wallets I saw back then were way more detailed and with more flaps (from what I can recall), but ohwell - I was just experimenting, and I didn't bother googling for templates. In retrospect I don't think I should have used the sewing machine here - didn't come out too well & ugly on the inside - rather maybe a ribbon folded over the edge or something instead, mhmm.. also, should have created a closure for the wallet, ahwell - next time!

Materials used: Fancy Pants - Summer Soiree, the Daily Grind and About a Boy + chipboardalpha & felt
And yes, thats chocolate-coins :p

Not sure whats up with my obsession of doing altered stuff/cards/random templatestuff atm. I do still scrap layouts too though!

Title: Twilight (I can totally see the appeal in this one - but man, the movie s u c k e d. Guess I should have started w/the books mm? Dakota Fanning is onboard for the next installment- hopefully it'll be better - she can't do wrong can she???)

Fancy Pants Designs: The Daily Grind & Splendid
Template from Mirkwood Designs

Ahhh..I am starting to see the end of the tunnel re: tweaking this blogtemplate - thank you so much for your patience & feedbacks :) :)

I really am loving this slider at the top and am starting to see the possibilities -- sharing general infos, peeks and snippets of photos I love for the moment being and stuff...mm..good stuff :) As you may notice it now also contains info re. tomorrows NSD (Hambly Blog Hop! Yay! :) )..

Right...nuff talk about this template - I just get so consumed&excited when in the middle of tweaking and troubleshooting.....now, if I only could fix the comment thing too....

I can't really believe we're now in May -- y.i.k.e.s!
And it's been a while since I played five friday faves (HI Dena!!) - so I think I'm totally gonna play along today :)

  1. Butterflies!
It took a while for this butterfly-craze to hit me, but in the end it did!! Am so in love with this Hambly-transparent- lots of yummy butterflies to cut out and it's in this lovely limegreen color!!!

  2. Border punches. From Fiskars. Namely apron lace and upper crest! *swoooooooooon* Cuts like hot knife on butter too! :) :)

  3. Cheap make-your-own-ice-sets in colorful plastic from IKEA:p
The kids loves to make their own ice outta squash, juice or yoghurt. Cheap, simple & simply genious :)

  4. Spring in the air
Stuff are blossoming. The days are lighter. Images are waiting to be taken.
Am starting to feel like taking more photos, imagining images when not having the camera around and yeah, even actually taking more photos too. That's a good sign no?

  5. Earth Day
This paper from Ecology from Luxe Designs. YUM! :D

Have a nice May 1st and don't forget to drop by again tomorrow for the Hambly Blog Hop :)

Monday. Ugh.
Well. Baking focaccia should help. Having a friend over soon aswell (sharing is caring, blah blah ;p). Speaking of sharing, I'm supposed to post a Pencil-Lines layout today, but after much thinking and staring (can't help it, I'm supercritical) I decided to pull that layout...it totally sucked. Bleh. Ugh. Feel free to drop by the girls though, they did fab work as always and our guest today was Åsa Bergstrand, a superfab swede with LOTS of creativity in so many areas :)

So right, am gonna share a simple Luxe Designs card instead (fluffy cupcakesticker by MAMBI I think) - Adrians attended the bday of a close friend on Saturday and gave her a skull-light. She totally LOVED it tehee. (when she's visiting one of their fave things to do for the moment being is to turn off ALL the lights in the house and play with maglites and stuff...cough).

~~ A Luxe mini ~~

Posted by Ania On Wednesday, October 22, 2008 8 lovely comments

I created this mini with Maya Roads amazingly cool chipboardmini, supplemented with some pages from a K&CO mini and with lots of Luxe Designs stuff - like the Simple, Stiletto and Capris papers, different jotters, rubons, epoxystickers and journalingstickers. Oh, and Maya Road chipboardalphas (which fits the Luxe alphastickers perfectly - they cooperated on that one you see - so you can stick the stickers in any color right upon the MR chipboardalphas for added dimension :) ), a piece of Hambly (cuz......Uppsala is in Sweden and the Swedish flag bears the colors blue and yellow and the Hambly-piece was yellow sooooooo :p) and a lil glimmermist&dabberpaint :)

Right. Nuff babling. Here it is :)
(Did I mention the shape of this mini is just too cool??? :D)
OH, and the newest Luxe lines are shipping now!! I love the calendar-line and I am so looking forward to checking out the Christmas line and the boy/girl line for real - and they have a free shipping special for US residents - purchase for 25$ and get free shipping :) Wish these specials would apply to Internationals too uh :p

(oh, and by the way -- check out this cool post on flowers over at the PrimaDonna blog.....they used an old layout of mine as an example too :) )

(I should maybe mention that before we pretended we were into culture and stuff the others we spent hours waiting for me trying to decide for a purse to purchase :p) I finally bought one. The last day :p

~~ All things Luxe ~~

Posted by Ania On Tuesday, September 16, 2008 6 lovely comments

Yum - this is the new line from Luxe Designs called Sprinkles. Totally heart these colors and designs. I know what you're saying. I mean. I keep saying I suck at cardmaking. So why make these? Well. Cause Luxe wanted us to, that's why =) So there - my feeble attempts on cardmaking ;p

***MINIALBUM REMOVED FOR PUBLICATION :D****

And I totally heart the Simple lines...so basic, so great! I guess this must be my favorite-est (that's so a word no??) line from Luxe - so versatile and so many great products in that line - stickers, epoxystickers, papers, diecuts... :) This is made with the jotters from the Simple line -- that is - journaling diecuts from the Simple Orange and Simple Brown (the two new colors) lines. I adhered them to cardstock and stuck photos to the backsides. Pretty fast and ..uh..simple (pun not intended!) :) These are from our trip to Amadeusparken, a (very) small but cozy zoo this summer when we were visiting my husbands cousin. The "vacation" card in front is from another jotter-line....travels or vacations or something like that (too lazy to look it up =) )

And! I got an award from Ann Hedvig!! Yay! :D
Apparently she thinks I'm a nice gal to go to crops with :D Ok, I know I'm of the quiet type when I attend crops (for obvious (??) reasons), but I really really really do enjoy myself simply just being there feeling I'm like, with the gals :) So thank you so much!! :)

Now, if somebody would please tell me to go back to my scrappingtable to finsih those Christmas-projects for "Vi Scrapper", please do so. I seem to keep straying to the computer hoping anything exciting has happened the last 45 seconds since I was here last kinda. Hrm.

~~ So Luxe! ~~

Posted by Ania On Thursday, September 11, 2008 13 lovely comments

Yay!!! My second DT-box from Luxe Designs arrived yesterday, and yumminess!! I got it as I was on my way to a crop, so dropped by the postoffice to grab the box -- I mean - how can I not wait?? (Uh. Or is it...how can I wait?? Um. *confused*) (and boy was the queue at the office %&%&&/ long)

Started on this layout on the crop yesterday -- made some ATCs and used the leftover MME papers w/the new Luxe Simple Orange (lovelovelove..orange and brown..sooo yummy)...distressed it some w/Glimmer Mist and bronze paint.....used some cutouts from the Sprinkles line and one of the new labels called Luxe-urious Labels in Turquoise. All the Luxe stuff used is new - from Summer CHA :) :) And the photo? Me, my grandparents, mom and my little sister (in that ultracool vintage stroller behind mom)..oh, and my orange and green stroller....lovesit....still have it in the cellar at moms :D

Now. I know it's not nice to brag/boast...but...uhm...I can't help it...and!!! In my mind I'm not doing that mind you - I'm rather being excited and awed and want to share - cause..just look at what I got from Luxe.....

Um yeah..what's that glue doing there??
See, Scrapbook Adhesives were so kind to sponsor the Luxe girls...I know, it's totally crazy..we got this 12x12 ziplockbag totally filled to the brim w/adhesive...lots and lots and lots and so many diff....o.O (and yes, if you wonder if I feel lucky - the answer is duh, yes....!!)

THANK YOU SO MUCH LUXE & SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES!!!!!! :D :D :D

Oh, and while I'm doing the finishing touches on my ATCs...hm, I don't know if I'm just lazy or if I really think this is a "technique"...but....love using my fingers instead of paintbrush for painting on the edges...love this metallic bronze paint... love paint on my fingers & nails :D

Signing off by sharing some vintage Tori Amos love --- thanks to Perez Hilton (yes I love to read him..hey..I need some guilty pleasures too!)who brought them up -- I've been listening to Tori Amos all day...lovelovelove :) These two are from Little Earthquakes, her first (and imo best) album from years ago....sung live...she's so amazing live...

Have a nice week! :)

Ps! Weeds & Dexter. O.O Love great shows!

Yay!
Marit Larsen is releasing her second album October 13th! Can't wait!
Check out her newest single - "If a Song Could Get Me You" - and check out the cute acoustic versions she did - singing live at a train, outside a greengrocer and at Nydalen :) I love both the studio-version and the train one - theyre both at repeat here atm :)

Her songs makes me happy - although if you listen beyond the happy, catchy tunes most of her lyrics are actually sad...which makes me love them even more :p

In other (scrappy) news...

Luxe Designs launced their spankin' brand new gallery! Their whole site is being reworked -- it's not entirely done, but it's getting very very close! :D And in honor of this opening, Emily is giving away 50$ of Luxe Products to one lucky commenter!

Bad Girls is kickin' off the Top Designer 2008 contest with signups starting today! :D

You really don't want to miss this - just look at this awesome 650$+ prize!!!

And last but not least --Hambly Screenprints is having a giveaway on their blog -- hurry head over to comment for a chance to win those YUMMILICIOUS kraft stickers!!

Alright, signing off w/sharing another photo from the vacation :)

From Nesodden, where we spent a weekend with my sister (#2 from the right) and some friends from high school (& all the children..I think we had 10 or 11 children alltogether)..

And one more.. this is from Elverum- Amalie loved this game - that is -when she had the ball. When she did not she started to whine and at times (well ok, often) cry...which Adrian found amusing..

And I miss having these two girls around (just look at them..aren't they such beauties...sigh..miss them sooooo much!):

*sigh*

Oh, and my PC seem well again, thanks to way too many hours of pain (at which at several points my computer was called not so nice names as "spawn of the devil" and the likes..yep..it was that bad..). Muchos ♥ to Peter (the UK one :p) & Simen! :)

More new LUXE CHA-S stuff1! :D

Posted by Ania On Friday, July 11, 2008 6 lovely comments

Got the chance to play with some of the new CHA stuff from Luxe Designs - namely the new "It's time" - line, some of the new transparencies and the Color Me papers. Oh yeah the "It's time" line will definitely be one of my faves and the Color Me papers are so cool to cut out.... I guess I should use it the way it's "intended" to be used (like, colored) someday but for now I am enjoying cutting out the little figures & stickin them on popup foam :) Below are two more of my faves from this CHA Summer from Luxe -- two new colors for the Simply Luxe collection (LOVESIT!) and the Christmas line which looks very very nice! Have a nice weekend! :)

Ps. xoxo to Oddbjørg and Kimmie who gave me different but equally touching awards..I feel weird that they think that much about me... love ya!! *hugs* :D Will pass them on when Ive got more time :)

~~ Bad Girls July Kit Creations++ ~~

Posted by Ania On Wednesday, July 02, 2008 8 lovely comments

Yay!

The July kit at Bad Girls, "Whimsical Wonderland" was such a dream to work with - totally loveloveloved these papers and gorgeous accessories!! More DT-layouts can be found here. Am so sorry for hardly having time to play with my scrapthings these days because well, I wanna scrap! More! But alas...vacation and summer and renovating and running out of ink in the darn printer and well, spending time with the hubby and the kids...and uh, watching Weeds when I have a moment for myself (Just finished season one, lovesit!!) and BSG with the hubby - we just finished s3.....=)

Spending time with my hubby also means playing Age of Conan - mmm...it took some levels for me to fancy that game, but it's quite enjoyable now that we're level 50+ (leveling is superFAST! I really haven't been playing this game a lot, yet I'm lvl51 atm). And extra enjoyable when we are able to play with long-time friends over the net (friends from our time in Everquest->World of Warcraft-> AoC) The game itself has a more EQ'ish feel over it rather than WoW, but it has a lot of WoW in the sense of quests being a big part of the xp-grind, at least for now....EQ was like, way more about the xp-grind than really questing despite the name..it's quite easy to level up doing quests which doesn't give you a real xp-grind-feel :P It'll be interesting to see what the game has to offer to keep holding on to our interests when we hit level 80, which's the maximum level in the game...

Well, nuff nerdtalk - here's some more promostuff galore!! :D

Luxe!! CHA stuff!! OMg!!!!! Darn!
Ok, Ive shown you the "It's time" peek already but I really really really adore it so I wanna show it again...it looks so great...and there's new stamps and new color-me-pages and a boy and a girl line for the CHA show....and that's not all!! Two of my most fave things from this release (beside the time line) have yet to be shown..yummines...am so looking forward to get to work with this!!

And then there's Bad Girls first Aniversary....the things the designteam has done and made for this anniversary is just a m a z i n g... I am in such a total awe of their talent and creativity and energy. So much candy to come on the message board this month, you really don't want to miss it!!

Photobucket

Have a nice week!! :)
We're crossing fingers for some nice weather over here ...it's sunny and warm today so far....hope we get to keep this..my camera is loaded and I'm ready for summerphotos...gotta run!!

PS! Did you see?? D700!!! Fx-sensor!!!! OhMyGod*drool*
