Fancy Pants Designs: The Daily Grind & Splendid
Template from Mirkwood Designs

Ahhh..I am starting to see the end of the tunnel re: tweaking this blogtemplate - thank you so much for your patience & feedbacks :) :)

I really am loving this slider at the top and am starting to see the possibilities -- sharing general infos, peeks and snippets of photos I love for the moment being and stuff...mm..good stuff :) As you may notice it now also contains info re. tomorrows NSD (Hambly Blog Hop! Yay! :) )..

Right...nuff talk about this template - I just get so consumed&excited when in the middle of tweaking and troubleshooting.....now, if I only could fix the comment thing too....

I can't really believe we're now in May -- y.i.k.e.s!
And it's been a while since I played five friday faves (HI Dena!!) - so I think I'm totally gonna play along today :)

  1. Butterflies!
It took a while for this butterfly-craze to hit me, but in the end it did!! Am so in love with this Hambly-transparent- lots of yummy butterflies to cut out and it's in this lovely limegreen color!!!

  2. Border punches. From Fiskars. Namely apron lace and upper crest! *swoooooooooon* Cuts like hot knife on butter too! :) :)

  3. Cheap make-your-own-ice-sets in colorful plastic from IKEA:p
The kids loves to make their own ice outta squash, juice or yoghurt. Cheap, simple & simply genious :)

  4. Spring in the air
Stuff are blossoming. The days are lighter. Images are waiting to be taken.
Am starting to feel like taking more photos, imagining images when not having the camera around and yeah, even actually taking more photos too. That's a good sign no?

  5. Earth Day
This paper from Ecology from Luxe Designs. YUM! :D

Have a nice May 1st and don't forget to drop by again tomorrow for the Hambly Blog Hop :)

So cute!! Courtesy of Kine!! :D

Fridayfaveeeee!!

  1. This tea (see above). And this girl. Unable to locate this tea at my local supermarkets (which aren't much to brag about really) she sent me this cute package in the mail :D LOvesit!! Thank you so much!!! The scent makes me nostalgic, thinking of my childhood-candies.. and it tastes like heaven!! :D (not sure about the decaf-part though, I've kinda grown accustomed to coffeine lately ;p)

  2. I have been totally in love with this Martha Stewart Butterfly-punch ever since I saw someone have this one at the crop in Stavanger and somehow it sorta dropped into my preorder-basket from Papir i Hjertet...along with the doilyborderpunch I've been drooling on for a while....*whistle*

  3. I adore Maria Mena. "Belly Up", "All this time", "Fragile", "Lullaby"...and many many more if only I had time to look & link them up but alas..not much time to blog right now sooo!! Her lyrics are so vulnerable, raw and so real...lovesit..

  4. Still waiting impatiently for more info about when 3ndypapirs newest paperlines will hit the shelves, especially Gudruns colorful one! Just look at the sample above - doesn't make you so happy?? I hear they're off to Scraporama this weekend and will bring the new papers along....*sigh* Definitely know it'll be one of my faves as soon as they (hopefully) hit the LSS! :)

  5. Not really like I can call these layouts faves, but I have truly loved working with the Scrappers Choice-material I've been demoing all week..these three are from the FotoKnudsen stores I've been at on tues & weds and they are displayed at the stores there too (hence the bad quality of the photos - I had to hurry snap photos of them in the store when done with the demos) along with a small selection of altered stuff & cards also created during the demos. Really love the papers and thickers (with norwegian letters!) and the cute rubons :D And yes - the layouts are pretty simple - nothing fancysmancy when I'm supposed to demo and have limitations on stuff to use ;) I'll share the rest of the layouts later, I forgot my camera yesterday so I had to ask the store manager to help me out - and the images he sent me contained 0 bytes - ouchie - and these were my fave layouts of the bunch I've made till now too!! :p I've created an average of two layouts, one-two cards or similar and two chocolate-boxes or calendars (only a couple pages!! duh :) ) per demo :) Speaking of Scrappers Choice - Vibeke just launched some new papers, embellishments & stamps - check them out here! :D

In other (scrappy) news -

  • feel free to check out the Fancy Pants designerspotlight on me *smile*
  • Prima has a really cool promotion going on right now - free bling!! :D
  • Speaking of Prima -- the PrimaDonna International Roadtour is coming along nicely, going around Scandinavia and stuff and I'm happy to see they're coming to Oslo (28. april - @Steffens) at least (hopefully more cities in Norway too but these are yet to be finalized afaik) :D You simply can't miss it -- Jen Starr (US) and Tracie Hudson (UK) are the teachers for this tour and they are simply fabulous and will awe you with their dazzling techniques (they know their stuff and tricks alright!) and just imagine the lovely prima-stuff you'll get to play with....ahh!!! (and sigh yes - thats the opportunity I was speaking about a few posts ago)

Friday...
and FFF :)

  1. My schweeeeet schweet schweeeet D700 ♥♥♥♥♥
Can you freakin believe that the upper photo was taken w/ISO800 and the latter w/ISO640?? And no noiseninja involved!! Totally, totally, totally schweeeeeeeeeet :D :D :D I softened the latter photo somewhat, dragging the clarity-slider to negative (like, subtle blurring) and ran a vintage-action on it (the tulle and her sweater is actually more like fuschia-pink :p)
  2. My nieces
Miss them already. See photos above :p
  3. Mad Men
I have to admit...it's intriguing and it keeps well, twisting...but not really in the normal twisting way you'd come to expect from a TV show kinda I think..like, twisting the other way kinda, or not twisting at all...just..normal life-twisting or somethin...hard to explain, but I really like do the show despite it kinda annoying me aswell :p (Don punching the man who told his wife that he (Don) was rompin' with his (the punched man) wife?? liek wtf talk about blaming others for your own deeds ><)
  4. Pushing Daisies
Cute!!!! Kinda hard to explain this show too unless you've seen it, and by just reading the plot it does make you think it's a too silly weird show...but....loooove the style/genre of this show (what is it called? kinda naivenostalgish?? uh??? anyone? Hm. Kinda in the same gate as Amelie I guess..?) And I just adore Kristin Chenoweth :) :) And Emerson's expressions. Priceless :D
  5. I'm not sure wheter to put Gossip Girl (yes..it's my guilty pleasure..it's silly and it's sorta catty and it's sooo soapish and I love it......*blush*) or House MD (Hugh Laurie. Nuff said!) here. Both I guess. ;p

And there you have it! :p
Have a nice weekend :) I will do my best ;p

Oh btw!! Had such luck asking about Lightroom last time so I'm trying again; I did fix the colorthingieproblem w/ Lightroom to CS, but still have a petpeeve left: if I wanna save the changes in CS it automatically gives me .tiff (The only options for file format in external editing in LS are tif & psd as far as I can see) which is sorta not too bad but still annoying cause I want it to remain jpg and have to do "save as" (I hotkeyed it now but it's still a few more steps needed than necessary kinda). Anyone have any quick & smart solutions to that?? *hope*

I have scrapped - but I am such a slow scrapper these days - just finished an unfinished layout that's been lying around (and torn apart to make a new one :P) for a week or so - and have two more unfinished ones to wrap up before I kind feel I can dig into my loooovely FP stash wo feeling bad for the other layouts which have been lying around for weeks cough (yes the box arrived yesterday, yayyyy :D) Scrappingwise I got a nice mail yesterday - yay - excited :)

Anyways - peeks for the just finished layout - will post it on sunday or monday for Pencil-Lines :)

Time for another friday fave I guess..right Dena? ;)

  1. Glue Dots Pop Up
What would I do without it??? Lovesit. Mine are in the size of 1/2" and gives the perfect dimension to my transparent stuff :)

  2. Jem
A Welish singer who's amazing :) Love her tunes - "It's amazing", ultrasupercool "24", "They", "Come on closer"....

  3. Bad habits.
Here's to bad habits. New Year is all about the shedding of these...well, I kind of might have gone the other way around. I've started drinking coffee. I prefer Cáfe Mocha, but as long as there's enough sugar and maybe even milk I'm fine.. might have picked up another bad habit but I am hoping that's only temporarily...well, apart from when I'm with my girls ;p

  4. Lenka
Another new music-fave. "The Show" is too cute :) She's Australian afaik :) LOVE the visuals on her site!!!!

  5. Guinness
Craving a beer (or two) with an old friend. Next weekend. Only a week to go.

Soooo I know it's technically saturday. Well, duh, it is.
Still.
Ms. Coe reminded me that I was still very much alive (I guess I am) and that I should get my ass back on track with FFF. A very much needed kick, thank you! (and I miss you too :) ) :D

  1. My kids. My silly kids. I haven't pulled the camera out as often as I would have liked lately. Which is just as well I guess, considering the unnecessary (???) space I usually spend on them on the disk :p And I hate the (lack of) light and stuff. But ohwell. Still. I need to be reminded how silly they can be at times. Like when Adrian claims that Amalie can fly with her butterflywings. And a little bit of help from him ;p Love you :)

  2. Wine.
It's been a while since I purchased wine just for "fun". Like, a glass or two (or three) in the evenings at the weekend. Yum. Much needed!

  3. SO excited about the new Hambly stuff!! Check out the wings and little circles here!!! YESS!!!! Lovelovelove the old mod circles - but have secretly wished they would make some of the patterns into fullfledged patterns kinda like, in addition - and yay!

  4. One of my fave new stuff from Fancy Pants must surely be the Mixed Media books. Can't wait to play around with these myself! And Im so in awe and jealous of the fellow DT-girls who have gotten around to play with the new stuff already. Me wanna too!!

  5. World of Warcraft. Have really enjoyed playing more again lately. I do enjoy the pve-stuff, am not and have never been much for pvp..enjoying raiding and instancing with friends.. hope they'll put in some new instances soon :)

  6. Oh, adding a 6th - CHA is here and I love the peeks all around -- I haven't been following the new stuff closely as I have used to, but I did note that I surely would not mind most of what Sassafras, October Afternoon, Prima, Pink Paislee, Websters Pages and actually Basic Grey comes out with too (have a love-hate-relationship to their papers..but theyre really too darn awesome this time). Oh, and did you see the new Fiskars-punches?? Must-have!! Some KI aswell, and I simply love the boldness that is American Crafts :) *sighs*
So what else is new?
Not much.
Keep having the house full of kids - friends of Adrian dropping by all the time. Lots of noise. Cute boys and girls though, and Amalie loves to try and hang around them :)
Listening to the Cranberries atm. Enjoyed listening to Tori Amos all evening yesterday while sipping wine and raiding. I think I'll do No Doubt tomorrow. Waiting and longing for the new releases from Hambly, Fancy Pants and Luxe to arrive - the two first ones have been sent, while the latter will be sent next month. I'm so bad when it comes to waiting. Feels like I can't do much now when I know new stuff will be arriving soon :p And I need to get started with ordering new Prima-samples for future classes - but darn how am I supposed to be able to pick what I want to work with -- their new stuff is just amazing :D Got another mini-book picked up by Scrapbook Trends. Yay. Oh. And I spent 35minutes on Wii Fit yesterday, yay me ;p My tummy aches now tho *cough*

Figured I'd share the rest of my Hambly layouts for january...taking pictures of transparencies ain't easy so I am sharing both images I shot of it..can't really decide which one displays it the better kinda...

Had a lovely time (ok, I might kind of have freaked out somewhat slightly when Sonjas bird decided to land on my head and stuff) yesterday with my cropping pals...got to see Maries Banglaalbum in real life (it's amazing!)!! And got great yummy food too, yay! ;p So glad to share this hobby with people I genuinely feel comfortable around aswell...almost finished a layout and started on a new one too!! :p

So.
Friday.
5 faves. (finally!)

  1. Lyrics.
Lyrics and music. Or I guess it should be the other way around. Great comfort nevertheless.
  2. Kajania.
Someone googled (for nailpolish natch) and found my old (first!) website....had it with a friend of mine. This has been a topic a few times before already - I do get the occassional mail about my past every now and then (Youths: take heed! what you do on the net like, stays on the net. Thank god I didn't do anything nasty ;p) I miss that girl. The carefree, silly, giggly girl (ok, gimme enough booze and I might turn into that girl for a few hours :p). Ah the good times..and speaking about the past..someone even googled and apparently found pictures of my secret(cough) Childrens Television-past...hmm....(mental note: remember to ask her where, cause I can't find them myself :p)
  3. Friends. Love you.
  4. The Legend of Drizzt Omnibus.
Simen came home with it yesterday. I've almost forgotten everything I've read about Drizzt, but got flashbacks and looking forward to rekindle my love for fantasy - graphic-book-style :) I really ought to read more - both classics I've read and forgotten about (I once studied Literature after all..Virginia Woolf being one of my faves at that time...and reading plays were one of the things I loved aswell - even the absurd ones....like "Waiting for Godot"..not sure what or why but I really like this play, like absurdism as a genre), fantasy (I wanna familiarize myself with Terry Pratchett! And although Dragonlance was my first fantasy-love, I don't think I should reread them cause it's probably just silly and like, the pulp fiction of fantasy..hmm Kine?...but as a teenager they were amazing lol..I loved and felt like Lauralanthalasa while it's Kit I should be more like I guess) and sci-fi. And more Neil Gaiman. Can't get enough of Gaiman! :)
  5. Um. Just saw the Fancy Pants CHA-W stuff and ooooh I am so itching to get to play with the stuff (still enroute here..sigh..the disadventages of living abroad)!!!!! Not sure if I should say anything or but....looking forward to make minibooks....! *cough* Peeks starts next monday just started on their blog, and I believe Hambly also will start the peeks around then too...and Luxe already posted some of theirs :)
Right.
Friday.
Time to clean up some.
And finish some layouts I guess.

Ps. Did you see? Bad Girls Kits is having a 2009-Design Team Call. Sweet :)

Fancy Pants cardbox. Aka decorated chipboardbox turned into a box
that holds cards. More cards and details can be found here.

Friday Five Faves!

  • Feathers! Ohyeah. Lovesit. I suppose you could credit that to people like Artsymama and Carole Wingert and the likes, but for me my fascination for feathers started when Eli used one in a wicked cool layout of hers along w/a bookcover and stuff a good while ago. It's been on my mind for quite some time and a few days ago I craved in and bought myself some feathers. YEY. I'll show some stuff w/that shortly :)
  • Rangers!! Oh yey. I got an idea for a new class, a technique-based one, I can't wait to develop that idea into a fullfledged class - hopefully it'll be doable :) And their new white crackle paint is too wicked cool and their Ink Applicator a must. Why did I wait so long to get one??? Thank you Rangers!!
  • Um, can I go with Hambly again?? Cause. Really. Their papers are just so cool. Shame it's not easy to get the papers here in Norway - Hambly in Norway is like, transparencies and rubons :(
  • Fog! I'd love to get this straight. The photographing of this that is. I'll see if I can share some more photos soon, but ugh, mine looks so....dull..
  • My kids playing together. Four years separates my children. Yet they play together so beautifully (and pretty wildly too). Yes. Adrian is starting to know when he can make Amalie cry and do that for fun (with words - like telling her no she's not a girl and keep insisting until she cries out of desperation :p Or by withholding a toy or thing she wants. Sometimes this backfires as she reacts by hitting him and then he starts to cry :p Still working with her re. the hitting and with him re. consequences of his actions - aka why did she hit him in the first place :p). But still he is the evercaring and protecting bigbrother to her, and playing with her a lot. Watching them interact together...sigh...I really hope this will last..

I had the most sweetest moment last night: watching both kids erupt in wild cheers, hands in their air and jumping up and down when I told them I'd make them waffles for nightfood. *aw*
And then my husband decided he wanted to make this chocolate-sauce he's been talking about for ages, so he and Amalie left to the grocerystore to buy icecream and sugar (as I used the last of the sugar in the house on the waffles). Cool. Turned out yummy too.

Hønemor challenged me to do this 7 truths about myself. Right. Have done some of these before but hey, it's cool to be able to talk more about yourself and have a legal excuse to do so uh? I think.....:p

So here goes...

  1. My stupid skin makes the most ugly scars. Ugh. Even the docs who promised me nicer scars for some re-opstuff were surprised by how ugly my scars turned out to be. *sigh*
  2. I can rehearse long, deep and witty conversations in my head and all that's coming out from my mouth is a stupid "uh" or "yeah"...
  3. Hm. I am not ready to reveal the most embarassing moments from when I was a child. Funny. It shouldn't matter by now but it's still kinda vivid and strong - the feeling of embarassement. So. No. Way.
  4. After several hours I had to do an emergency C-section with my oldest kid. I didn't really have the time to be afraid back then, I was too exhausted and it all happened so fast once they went for the C-sect.. - but I have to admit I do wonder at times what would have happened if they didn't rush to do this C-section all of a sudden...I later learned it was more serious than I realized back then.
  5. When I was little I used to pinch my sister and she'd go mad, hitting me and stuff -- drawing my parents attention and getting yelled at because all they saw was her fighting innocent little me.....(in fact, we used to fight a lot...physical fighting..I've never seen my kids do that...apart from Amalie hitting Adrian occasionally and Adrian retreating crying - but like 99% of the time they're the bestest friends...:p) Oh and we're good friends now me and my sis haha :)
  6. I get annoyed at scenes in movies where people usually always tug their duvets tightly around themselves or walk around in pyjamas after sex. Like, um, who does that?? And uh, you've just had sex with the other person in the bed/room, still you're like, afraid to show yourself naked to him/her? :p (I know I know....I'm allowed to snort at that tho!!)
  7. I have the amazing (??) ability that I'm able to sleep for 14-15 hours straight if allowed..(darn those kids :p)

Psst! Lazy Luxe Blogger strikes again...giveaway!!
Psps! How come I'm only able to email a very few of you who take the time to comment? Sometimes I like to reply to your comments by emailing you, but it's not possible on most? :( Thank you for all your comments though! :)

LOL...it seems like I keep showing off my Hambly-layouts on fridays along with my FFF...hmm!! :P Hope you don't mind...maybe I should mix up the manufs and show off another manu-layout next week...who knows..I might surprise you ;p

I am amazed by my luck on finding matching sheets of vintagebookpapers... this is the second Hambly-layout w/a matching bookpage telling the story of the layout...and yes...both papers were lying on my desk forever without me noticing the words and when I needed them I also noticed how well they matched.....

I love old photos..."hopeless" photos that mean the world to me still because of the subjects and feelings attached. In a way I feel old photos really show more about what scrapping is because well, for me (and most people I'd assume) older photos are usually not perfect in the sense we think about perfect photos these days -- if I had taken such a photo like the above - I'd probably have deleted it and certainly not scrapped it (BUT I'd probably have a zillion similarlooking photos to use instead aswell - and most of them "perfect" in the sense of positioning the subjects)..hmm...I dunno.... ?? The situations are hard to compare I guess (and not fair - not my fault I am able to shoot more these days way cheaper etc - doesnt mean my photos today arent worth scrapping the way these old photos are) - I mean - I used to purchase rolls of 36 photos-a-film and I thought that was A LOT (and it was, compared to the 24-rolls)!! These days? Pfft....try to tell me to limit to 36 photos taken a weekend (NO deleting) and I'll LAUGH you in the face.....or somethin like that...:p Hm. Actually sounds like a challenge. But don't even think about challenging me w/that!! :P

Ahwell..
down to business..
:D

Very bad photo - Im sorry about that - in NO way does this do the GM justice, believe me!
  1. I lovelovelovelovelove Snow Angel!!! (thank you Gyda for suggesting this color!) Yeah, the kids are cute when making these but no, no snow here in Norway yet (at least not my part of the country) - I'm talking about Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Snow Angel is a Winter Limited Edition and it's .... I am pretty much at loss for words, SO beautiful is this. I've only worked it on white paper so far, so I guess I better experient more on other colorbackgrounds/mediums but oh my gosh..... the pink is so delicious and sheer and just the right intensity/amount.....the shimmer....it seem different!! I honestly felt like I was looking at snowcrystals!! *deep sigh* I need to whip out the other Limited Edition Winter colors, but I can't drag myself off this one lol.... So looking forward to demostrate Glimmer Mist next weekend :D (Psst..looking for Glimmer Mist? Bad Girls just got these and more in the store :) And most Norwegian stores stocks GM :D)

  2. Glossy Accent. I have rekindled my love for this and hope I have enough for all the samples I am making for the moment being!

  3. Pizzabuns! Love baking pizzabuns and putting them in the fridge. Great to quickly defreeze when you've forgotten to buy bread and the kids needs lunch for school *cough* *cough*

  4. Playing with canvas!! There's so much I want to do with canvas...

  5. The Hambly Gallery is up!! One thing I love about this team is the diversity - we all seem to have different styles and I think that's a great thing....we get to show that Hambly can be used by everybody despite style or preferrence...(but I still can't help having a slight feeling I don't fit in *blush*) Anyways - head on over and join for several chances to get some Hambly-goodness you too :D

  6. (I knoowwwww...six is NOT five.......) Love Skunk Anansie, been listening to the old tunes once again....Hedonism (Just because you feel good) is such a great song!! :D
Enjoy the weekend!! :D

~~ Five Faves Friday & a Hambly layout! ~~

Posted by Ania On Friday, October 17, 2008 6 lovely comments

Hah!
Ofcourse I had to scrap that lil punk :)
Love the monocromatic Hambly-paper - it's shimmery too and well, duh, love shimmery stuff!! Love the new Kraft-stickers too - used alphabets & a lil of the border-thingie too.
Right.
I'm supposed to get packed for a crop but as usual... I suck at packing and preparing for crops - printed out a photo and instead of filing it away for tonight I started scrapping it. Ugh! :p

Anyways - five faves :)

  1. Coke&Rum. Rum&Coke. Whatever. Guess it depends on how you make it! Lovesit. Icecubes & slices of Lime is a must! (hey loosen up it's weekend!)

  2. The Kraft border-stickers from Hambly. Just look at this lil piece I used here -- love that it's cutted along the shape :) And I love this shape - what's it called - fleur de lis or something? Hm, I like it.

  3. New lines!! "Hello, Beautiful" from Websters looks totally gorgeous!! "Life at the Pole" from Sassafras looks so funny and just as whimsical as you can expect from them and speaking of Christmas-lines, the new one from Pink Paislee looks gorg - look at the nutcrackerpaper, me wants!!!! And ofcourse - Fancy Pants just announced two new mini-lines -- I am esp looking forward to the valentine one!! And - not really new, but it's being sent out these days (or well, should be very shortly) - part two of the Summer CHA releases from Luxe Designs :D

Can you tell I love it when manufs do new stuff? :)

  4. Icecream! What do you say when your husband suddenly says he craves something sweet and then proceeds to come home w/icecream complete w/two diff chocolate sauces & cashew-nuts?? Not "no thank you" that's for sure!! :)

  5. CS4!! Ok. I have to admit I don't know much about this version yet, but I have no doubt it's gonna rock! :D (Hey did you know that Adobe offers free action-downloads (and other nifty downloads) too? I sure didn't! :) )

  6. Suh-weeeeet! (totally stolen from Kara :p)
(I KNOW! Six is NOT five. I can't count.)

And...five non faves, like, just for fun:

  1. The stupid P.O. not giving out first time notifications when boxes arrive (and refusing to take any responsibility) (yes Im bitter :p Bitter and old. Eeks.)
  2. Headaches
  3. Bad indoor-lighting (*sigh* Hello Fall&Winter)
  4. Having to cut into fave-papers and you don't have more of it and suddenly you realize messed up the cut badly (ugh).
  5. The cold! It even snowed for a few minutes yesterday (before turning back into sucky rain).

KK.
Off to edit/print photos for tonights croppin!
Have a nice weekend! :)

~~ Five Faves Friday :) ~~

Posted by Ania On Friday, October 10, 2008 7 lovely comments
  1. I am happy. I get to see this lil missy later today as I and Amalie are off to fetch her and my mother at the airport this morning (it's 1am now so yeah, it's later today ;p). Can't wait to see them both and to watch the cousins rekindle!

  2. You knew this was coming eh. Oh yes. Fancy Pants Designs - I am in love with especially "All Fall", although "The Daily Grind" almost ties for the first place. And both lines work so wonderful with each others too! And I can't wait to use "Happy Holidays" for Christmas!! And the chipboard-packaging is simply lovely!

This is my first layout made with the new FP stuff - the papers are from the "All Fall" line (although the chipboard is from "The Daily Grind" I think) - and you can see more about this layout and it's progress at my mini-class/inspirationalthingie at Minneriket later this weekend (for norwegians). I am even RAKing off some stuff from my DT-stash (which means Luxe, Hambly & FP goodies) for one lucky winner of my class... just make sure you have..

  3. ..a scalloped scissor/decoscissor for that one. Yep. I constantly reach for my scalloped scissors, and I'd love at least one or two more decoscissors. Sick I know. I am picky about what KIND of scallop/motif it is though.

  4. Stickles.
If you're to own just ONE of those pretty little bottles from Ranger, make sure it's the crystal one because it's so.gorgeous and goes with anything!! I love to smoosh it around on the surface to even out the glitter.....(I know. Sucky photo. Wish I could photograph glittery/shimery better)

  5. Blueberries. We have a small blueberry-shrub (or well, it's more a bush as it's an american species which carries HUGE berries) in our garden and it's berries are ready to be harvested. It doesn't carry too many berries, but it's significantly more than the usual in the past (which's been like 5-6-7 berries as it's a fairly new bush). Hope the weather's nice tomorrow cause I plan on photographing Amalie and her cousin harvesting the berries!! :P

Have a lovely weekend - I know I will!! :) I just hope I get to scrap something in between too cause...sigh....I wanna scrap!! =)

~~ Five Faves Friday & a Hambly layout ~~

  • Hambly Screenprints.
Yes yes yes. I know. I had them as fave last week, and I'm having them as fave this week again!! Before I got involved with them as DT-member the word "Hambly" made me think of transparencies and rubons only. I knew they did papers too, but that was like, well, paper, I was more interested in their transparencies. Well. I have to say. Their papers really really really have won me over now that I've got them here irl. Esp their metallics...omg....so. Gorgeous. Like. Pink ink on bronze metallic paper...like this vintage plaid one on the layout above (I know it looks very dark on the picture but it's shimmey bronze and I looooove shimmery things!) or this classic grid one. *swoon* The metallics is so shimmerey. It bears repeating! Lovesit! Or metallic gold on white paper. So elegant! And their monocromatic papers are so pretty, like these! And I love anything with kraft. *sigh**smile* :D
  • Scenic Route.
I really shouldn't complain, but I kinda feel a bit sad if I haven't gotten around to use a manuf I love in a while for various reasons. So I was really delighted to get the chance to use it several times this week. Yay! (I guess only scrappers understand this lol). Oh, and just for fun....these are my SR faves...Sonoma, Providence, Ashville (see a trend....all three LOVELY colorpalettes....sigh)...Newport was one of my first loves from SR and Brighton/Belleville one of the fave Christmas paperlines ever...Charlotte..never got around to use it much but I loved it....Cape Town and Salem...SO COOL! Laurel, Loveland, Roxbury..love the pinkreds here.... ah *sigh* :) And I LOVE their grid/basic papers!! Really. Need to scrap SR more :)
  • Rose Moka
I sosososo *heart* them!!! I'm so thrilled that Bad Girls are featuring them bigtime in their Octoberkit as it's the first time I got to play with them and I wasn't disappointed - it only made me love them more!! Been lurking their blog for a good while and I just have to say..what is it with french people (or well, french-speaking people as they're Canadians) and colors and patterns..they totally rock!! (Rouge de Garance anyone??) :D
  • The cute "My little Pony" stickers from Nille, as shown above. 10NOK for a bag of pure cuteness!!! (100 stickers :p). They also have "Cars" (which Amalie got and spent in just an hour or so :p) and "Disney Princesses". Just wish they had Hello Kitty too :)
  • Woodgrain or zebrastripes. Oh yeah tbh I didn't get all the fuss about these. So what, another fancy thing kinda. But really, it has grown on me (as things usually do when I keep seeing them over and over again). Rose Moka, Hambly Screenprints, Sassafras....they all have this amazing print. Lovesit! :D

Oh, and the layout above. Love this photo. There's something so artsy and precious about such photos..love this point of view (hm am I using this expression in the correct contex here?) & the soft blurriness of the photo. It's my cousins daughter who was a flowergirl at their wedding :) I think I ougtha cut that blue pompomribbon though, so it only runs below the photo and not over, hm?

Oh and one frustration...I LOVE Marit Larsen..I was soo ready to purchase her new album at bokkilden.no two days ago...but as I hadn't registered at bokkilden before I wasn't allowed to purchase downloadable stuff for 24 hours.....riiight (what a stupid rule ><). So I waited...didn't find my ccard yesterday. Bleh. So today - found it - was about to purchase it but um, suddenly it's like, nowhere to be found (the old link just said this item is not for sale/can't be found) -- maybe they found out they did a mistake (as the album isn't supposed to be out before Oct 13th or so). Totally suxxor. (But I did grab a free "if a song could get me you" download instead). Found out that play.com had her whole album for sale for like 6,25£ which is pretty cheap - cheaper than bokkilden.no - registered, placed the album in the shoppingbasket and proceeded - only to get this message: "This item can only be purchased if your credit/debit card billing address is in the UK." Excuse my language but WTF???? I WANT MY MARIT LARSEN ALBUM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gaaah!!! *not happy*

And tbh it feels quite silly because there's no denying it's easy to obtain music without having to pay for it, so making it harder for people who actually want to pay for music (make them wait 24hours before they can purchase downloadeable music if they are newly registered / not allowing people from other countries to purchase)...well...they're lucky I actually love Marit Larsen so much that I'm still gonna try find a way to get the album legally like, NOW.. *edited* ok checking around it looks like the stores have realized their mistakes and put the album on preorder/removed them. *sigh* Guess I'll have to wait two more weeks.. *sniff*

On a brighter note. The planetickets to Oslo and my classes at Bikuben are booked and ready -- and I made sure I would be there in time to be able to attend Marit Larsens concert at Parkteateret!! YAY!! Anyone wanna join me?? :) :)

Oh and I have to share...got my newest Hambly DT box yesterday with all the new releases in it...and Allison attached a number of retro stickers from Hambly to all of us...for our children/fun. Nice eh? :) Needless to say Amalie was beyond thrilled about this. Wanted to use them all at once. I told her I'd make her a minibook she could have these stickers in. I made a quick one (although it would have been way quicker without Amalie bugging me every 20 second asking impatiently "is done?" "is done mommy?" "now mommy?". Well, at least she was even more thrilled when I finally was done....totally loved the mini (I even used the pink bicycle-transparencies on it too), slept with it in bed and insisted on bringing it to the kindergarten today. It's really nice that something so quick and easy can brighten her up that much :)

Ok.
Nuff babbling.
Have a nice weekend :)

Couldn't leave without doing this list again. See how long I actually manage to keep it going on :p

  • Scrappers Choice. I'll be honest. I didn't think they were all that. Not until they got Vibeke Spigseth aboard. Yeah I'm gonna credit her cause I really think she did and does wonders with them designwise (if she's not alone about that then I apologize ;p) *love* the paperdesign, the paperquality, and *in love* the chipboard and the bling and the epoxy and ribbons and stamps and..well, they're doing the full embelliethinghie and it's all in Norwegian! YAY!!!!! :D
  • HAMBLY!!!!! Yeah baby!!!! Someones got a box and ohmygod *BIG GRIN* *smirk*
  • The Bad Girls October kit!!! Seriously. I know I'm supposed to plug for them but this. SO. IS. LOVELY. FOR. REALS!!!!! :D :D :D (and yeah the above peek is from that kit - it's out in four or five days)
  • Xstines potato salad. YUM! (For Norwegians, that and more reciepes can be found here at Minneriket)

~~ Five Faves Friday!!!! ~~

I've told myself to join Denas Five Faves Friday for a good lil while now (ok, for months!), but never really taken the time to actually do so. But. Today I am! :)

So here we go...

1. 3ndypapir.no's Christmas-collection.
I am a bit sad. I have to cut into one of the gorgeous Christmas-papers from 3ndypapir, "snøstjerner". There's a lot of gorgeous patterns in this collection, and this is one of them. Sigh. So not fair! Not sure if it was worth it either, am not finished with it yet :p

2. Glimmer Mist
It's been a longtime love for me (can you say...love at first spray??) and I am very happy to share that I'm now a Tattered Angels Educator :) Yay :) I am really excited about that, as well, duh, I love Glimmer Mist and can't wait to share the love with you too!! :)

3. C IS FOR COOKIE!!!!

I am an impuslive girl when it comes to baking. It's like, Ania see, Ania wants, Ania does. Gudrun posted a cookie-reciepe the other day and I just had to try it. I actually like it more when it's cooled like overnight. If there's any left that is. Cool! Oh, and the cookie monster is cute!! :D

4. Marit Larsen!! Turns out I actually might have a shot at attending her concert in Oslo in November! YAY!!! I'm so there and I hope some of you scrappy ladies will be too :)

5. Gossip Girl and Entourage. Need I say more??? =) (and holy crap did anyone watch the last ep of Weeds??? When will that show be back on again!! And yay House is back! And so is Dexter!) Hm ok. I guess this part should be dedicated to TV shows in general :)

Oh and I HAVE to add a 6th point just for today:

6. YARR!!!! The International Talk Like a Pirate Day!!! This is for my friend who loves to talk like a pirate after a couple of guinnesses. And even when not :p Still I'm the one who's had to remind him about this day for the last what, 8-9 years. Anyways. I think I'll celebrate this day with some rum. And coke. Yeah.
