I love tea pitchers and so when I found this white one at TJ MAXX I could not resist. Again, I took it on our camping trip to paint. I don't even know how it did not get broke after all it is pretty delicate.

I have had these angels for several years and have painted them a few times. If I changed anything about this painting it would be the cups I guess however I love the clear bottle and the soft shadows.

While painting this I met a few frustrations with not only color choice but

brush work which ended up kinda loose and everywhere.

Oh Well! Sometimes you have to break the rules.

Thrift store finds are best of all. Sometimes they are cracked, but cracks add

character if it is something you want to keep. Sometimes you can imagine

how much these things were valued by their owners and why they were

discarded. But if they were not sent to the thrift store that would not have ended

up in this painting, this painting of the little blue cup.

Two simple tea cups of no special value. Two special tea cups

used daily to provide someone with a warm tasty drink. As the seasons

change and the air becomes cooler they will be needed even more.

Oh wait! One is empty and has been discarded while the other is still standing.

A fragile tea cup, a dainty scarf, someone's treasures. This used to
belong to Mama. It survived childhood games and children running through

the house. Cradled in wrinkled hands throughout the years

memories were made for generations to come. Until one day an

accident as glass clatters to the floor. Then

the next cup, a favorite will take it's place.
