Review of Becoming Bea (by Leslie Gould)
I was provided a copy of this book by Bethany House in exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Amish fiction is one of my favorite types of reading and this didn't disappoint. My biggest problem was that I got the book during a month that was very busy for me and I wasn't able to sit and read through the book quickly...as I'd have preferred to do. I enjoyed watching Bea learn to be a more patient person and also to assert herself and come out from under the domination of her sister, Molly. (She and Molly also grew to understand each other better in the course of the story...which was also nice.) One odd thing.....I got the Kindle version of the book and everywhere there should have been a double "f" in the text (or a double "f" followed by the letter i or the letter l), those letters were missing. It made the copy a bit hard to read at first...since the word "coffee" appeared as "coee" and "office" appeared as "oce", etc. Once I learned to ignore that, I did very much enjoy the story and I would always be willing to read work done by Leslie Gould. (I am wondering if anyone else who read the Kindle version had the same "missing letters".)
