Birthday and Father's Day Cards

Hi everyone, happy Sunday to you. I have a few cards to share with you as I haven't posted in a while. I am trying to keep up my cards that are for sale in one of the local shops and with Father's Day coming up in a couple of weeks, I really needed to get started!

Card #1
I have just purchased the Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers. I used to have the complete set but sold them a while ago now. I loved the idea of having 3 markers in 1. They certainly take up less space.
So, I wanted to try them out so brought out a cute image to practice on and ended up putting together a birthday card.
I distressed the background with oxide inks, added the clouds, popped up the image, and embossed the sentiment.

Card #2
I die cut the sentiment a number of times in different colours and just started to put cards together. This one I paired with a tool bag and tools coloured with my new markers.

Card #3
I used a couple of old HLS sets for the sentiments and used some new tool dies. I cut them first in silver mirror card, then cut them again in red card so I could overlay the 'handles'.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Allsorts (Create your own Background), Through the Purple Haze (Happy Birthday), Timeout Challenges (Make your own Background), AAA Birthday Challenges (Anything Goes)
Card #2 - Colourful Options (Tranquil Turquoise), Di's Digi Challenge (Die Cuts and/or Punches), Sweet Stampin' (Firsts - first time I've used these tri-blend markers)
Card #3 - Daisy Chain Challenges (Men/Boys), Mix it Up (CAS), Moving Along with the Times (Anything Goes)

Thank you for popping in and have a great weekend :)

Reveal Wheel Card

Hello! I'd like to share my very first reveal wheel card :)

I ordered goodies direct from Lawn Fawn a number of weeks ago. Shipping from the US to Australia took what seemed forever (I guess due to Covid) so it really was happy mail when it finally arrived!

Just in time for Father's Day which is next weekend, yay!

I used the Reveal Wheel die, Car Critters stamps and dies, and the tree is from the Down Under Critters set. I was inspired by the cards made over at Lawn Fawn to mask and ink up the road and grass. Everything else was coloured with polychromos.

Below is a collage of all the photos when you turn the wheel. You can see how the little bears change :)

I also bought the reveal wheel stencil for the Car Critter add on and it gives you the option of revealing either 3 or 4 windows. I went with the 3 to begin with.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Just Add Ink (Just add Guys), Lawn Fawn (Make the sentiment the star), Cute Card Thursday (Inky), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions), Cardz 4 Guyz (Explore Outdoors)

Thanks for dropping in today and enjoy your weekend :)

Happy Fathers Day

Good morning everyone!

Today I wanted to share a card with you that I have made for my dad. Sunday just gone was Fathers Day here in Australia. It's funny you know. I never usually make masculine cards. I really only ever make cards for the women in my life. I just don't think the boys appreciate them as much, somehow.

Anyway, one bloke that does appreciate what goes into making a card is my dad. At times he is my harshest critic when it comes to card making lol. I ask him to be honest when I ask his opinion about what I have made and honest he is. He is a cool dad and very supportive of my hobby.

He has not long undergone major back surgery. He spent over 9 hours on the operating table so he has a long way to go with recovery. Thanks to all of you lovely ladies who kept up the prayers and well wishes through this time.

Using awesome Inspired by Stamping products, here is my card for dad -

Starting with a white panel, I smeared Distress Inks onto my large acrylic block, misted it with water and pressed it onto the cardstock.

I grabbed the Chevron set and arranged three of the stamps on my block so I could repeat stamp. Then I heat embossed them in three different colours. The top chevron is from a different set - Pretty Planners.

I Love you Because is such a beautiful set with lots of wonderful sayings. I chose ones that were close to my heart.

There you go - a very masculine card for Fathers Day using goodies from Inspired by Stamping.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Crafty Catz - One for the Boys

Thanks so much for looking xx
