Mice on Ice [Double Slider Card]

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? It's Monday morning here (my day off work) so of course I'm in my craft room :) I would like to share a card with you that I finished off over the weekend.

It's a double slider surprise card! I used a NBUS stamp and die set by Lawn Fawn called Mice on Ice in conjunction with others to create this interactive card. I've had these mice for a number of weeks and decided it was time to ink them up.

Pull the tabs and what do you find?
Aren't those skating mice just adorable! I can't ice skate or roller skate to save my life - this would be quite adventurous for me to do!
I have also used the following products - Double Slider Surprise Die set, Winter Village, and Stitched Hillside Borders.

This cute scene was inspired by this card HERE

All my images were coloured with polychromo pencils. The background was created using distress ink and flicking white acrylic paint for the snow.

You may wonder why an Aussie girl creates so many snowy scenes for Christmas Cards... It's so bloody hot here at Christmas we all dream of a White Christmas at some time in our lives ;)  Funny enough, one year it DID snow here on Christmas Day - in Canberra (the capital of Australia). It was 1987. It didn't stay on the ground for long but as a 12 year old, it was pretty cool to see, lol.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Moving Along with the Times (Create a Scene), Creative Knockouts (Lots of Layers), Timeout (Be Adventurous), Watercooler Wednesdays (Occasions), Darnells NBUS Challenge (Anything New Goes), 2 Crafty Critter Crazies (Anything with a Critter), Christmas 24 (Christmas Animals)

Thanks for popping in today :)

Double Slider Surprise Interactive Card

Hello everyone! In keeping with my quest to create more interactive cards, here is my latest.

I have used Lawn Fawn supplies for this one - Double Slider Surprise Dies, Tiny Christmas, Push Here, and Winter Village.

As you can see, when the tabs are pulled, two new sections of the scene creates a surprise!

These sort of cards take forever to make but I really love them!

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes), Sweet Stampers (Christmas in July), Sparkles Christmas Challenge (From our house to your house), Mix it Up Challenge (Anything Goes), Merry Little Christmas Challenge (Anything Goes), Watercooler Challenges (Anything Goes), Fezziwig Festive Frolics (Santa), Christmas Craft Creations (Christmas Characters)

Thank you for popping in. Stay safe :)

Double Slider Surprise

Hi everyone! Today I have a fun card to share with you that I created using stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

The double slider surprise die was one I had to have but this is the first time I've finished my card using them :) It's a little tricky and I have tried a couple of samples but once you get the hang of putting it all together, it's not too bad.

I wanted to create a Christmas card and used both the Ho-Ho-Holidays and Mice on Ice stamp sets. They both have coordinating dies which is awesome.

I coloured all the images with polychromo pencils. After the main panel and sliders were all decorated, I adhered the whole thing to my card front.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
The Paper Players (Fun & Fancy Folds), Cute Card Thursday (Anything Goes), Dies R Us (Anything Goes with dies they sell), Die Cut Divas (Christmas in July)

Thanks for popping in today (it's also my birthday and my usual day off work so it's been really fun making a card)!
