Thanks Eclipse

Hello! A quick post from me to share a card that I made at the request of my son. He has been at a new job for a few months now and he wanted a thank you card for his boss.

I started by stamping my flowers (Merci Beaucoup by Clearly Besotted) and coloured them with polychromo pencils.
I used a rather large thanks die and cut used it on my coloured panel first. I then cut it again about 4 times using plain card. I adhered the panel to my card base and then started filling in the die cut gaps with glue and the die cut words, layering them up as I went. I finished with the die cut that had the coloured portions on it.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -
Crafter's Cafe (Flowers), Let's Craft and Creation (Anything Goes + Add Flowers), Lost Coast Designs (Sentimentally Yours), Watercooler Wednesdays (All Occasions), A Place to Start (Make it Elegant), Double Trouble (Flowers)

Thanks for popping in :)

Mother's Day Trio

Good morning! I had to get started on Mother's Day cards so I got them finished over the weekend.

Card #1
This one is for my Mum -
I got the idea for this card from Kristina Werner's card HERE. This stamp set is new to me and I wanted to watercolour the mama and baby bear. It's called Bear Hugs by Mama Elephant.
I used my zig watercolour pens for the colouring. The background is an embossed stamp called Heart to Heart by CAS-ual Fridays.

Card #2
This one is for my step-mum
I used the eclipse technique for this card. The rose is from a set called Merci Beaucoup by Clearly Besotted. The alphabet dies are by MFT. The rose was coloured with Polychromo pencils.

Card #3
This one is for my Nan
Using the same set by Clearly Besotted I decided to emboss my flowers and mask to create a pretty bunch of roses. Again, I used polychromo pencils to colour the roses.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - The Paper Players (Make you Smile), Cute Card Thursday (Feminine), Watercooler Wednesdays (Anything Goes), Shopping Our Stash (Mother's Day)
Card #2 - The Clever Dexter Challenge (Spring Blooms), CAS on Friday (Favourite Flower Stamp), The Card Concept (Mother's Day)
Card #3 - Stamping Sensations (Say it with Flowers), Dare2BArtsy (In the Garden), Creative Moments (April Showers bring May Flowers)

Thank you for popping in today and take care :)

Another total Eclipse

Hello!
Since I had my alphabet dies out I decided to create another card using the eclipse technique. I also needed a 40th Birthday card so I decided to get out my numeral dies and use them as well.

Card #1
Created using HLS 'Born to be Wild' stamp set and Papertrey Ink's 'By the Numbers' dies.
I used a little gold mica powder mixed with water to create my splats.

Card #2
This is a second birthday card for my Mum. I wasn't completely happy with the original one so I decided to create another. I heat embossed the flower with white powder, then coloured it in with a pink polychromo pencil and gamsol. I added a bit of orange into the mix as well.

I would like to enter my cards over at the following challenges -
Card #1 - Penny Black and More (Animals, Birds, and Butterflies), Crafty Animals (Anything Goes), Seize the Birthday (All Creatures Great and Small), A Place to Start (Masculine)
Card #2Stamping Sensations (Feminine), Creations in Pink (Anything Goes in Mainly Pink), Crafty Calendar (Use Die Cuts/Punches), Happy Craft Challenge (Anything Goes)

Thanks for popping in today :)

Eclipse Technique

Hi everyone! I have a birthday card to share with you today. I made this for a wonderful co-worker.

I stamped the rose (from the set Merci Beaucoup by Clearly Besotted) and coloured it with my polychromo pencils and gamsol. I used my new 'Impact Alphabet' dies by My Favourite things to die cut the letters from my top panel, then die cut them another 3 times in white. This way I could layer them up for dimension.

I would like to enter my card over at the following challenges -

Thanks for popping in and enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
