Rego Park - A tour bus smashed into a building in Queens on Monday afternoon, injuring six people, fire officials said.

The crash took place at around 2:24 p.m. at 63rd Avenue near Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park.

Queens - Workers at a water main hit a gas line as they were working on 141th street and 70th avenue Wednesday morning.

Responding FDNY members brought the situation under control shortly after arrival.

Five Hurt In Queens House Fire




Glendale - FDNY units responded to the scene of a fire at 69-18 66th Street, between 70th Av and Otto road (Box 5116) early Tuesday.

Tower Ladder 135 transmitted a 10-75 assignment for a 2 story Frame, 25x40, with fire on the 1st floor in the rear of the structure.

The fire was brought under control in 25 minutes. 5 10-45 (fire victim) code 3's (non-life threatening serious injury) were reported.

Three Alarm Fire Injures 17 FFs In Queens


Seventeen firefighters and two tenants were hospitalized after a three-alarm blaze broke out at a Queens building Monday, officials said.

The fast-moving fire erupted about 2:55 a.m. in the three-story building on 45th Ave. in Flushing and was brought under control just before 6 a.m., Fire Department officials said. The building has a coin laundry and other businesses on the ground floor and apartments above.

FDNY EMS Members Save Three People in Submerged Car


Queens - FDNY EMTs Marilyn Arroyo and Jimmy Guailacela from Station 46 risked their lives to save three elderly people trapped in a submerged vehicle on Cooper Avenue on Aug. 15.

A call was received at around 1:30 p.m. for people trapped in a car beneath an overpass.

When EMTs arrived, they said they saw three people – an elderly man and two elderly women – who could not exit the vehicle. The car was three-quarters full of rainwater and was continuing to fill with water flowing in like a river from the heavy rain.
