Queens - A single-engine airplane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off Breezy Point, Queens, Wednesday night, and cops later recovered a body from the wreckage, sources said.

Seventeen firefighters and two tenants were hospitalized after a three-alarm blaze broke out at a Queens building Monday, officials said.
The fast-moving fire erupted about 2:55 a.m. in the three-story building on 45th Ave. in Flushing and was brought under control just before 6 a.m., Fire Department officials said. The building has a coin laundry and other businesses on the ground floor and apartments above.
Queens - FDNY EMTs Marilyn Arroyo and Jimmy Guailacela from Station 46 risked their lives to save three elderly people trapped in a submerged vehicle on Cooper Avenue on Aug. 15.
A call was received at around 1:30 p.m. for people trapped in a car beneath an overpass.
When EMTs arrived, they said they saw three people – an elderly man and two elderly women – who could not exit the vehicle. The car was three-quarters full of rainwater and was continuing to fill with water flowing in like a river from the heavy rain.
