2 Hurt As Deer Collides With Car On Route 45

RAMAPO - A Bronx man suffered serious injuries when his car collided with a deer on Route 45, propelling the 180-pound, antlered buck through the windshield and into the vehicle's back seat, Ramapo police said Thursday.

Elmer Adilio, 30, the driver, is listed in critical condition in Nyack Hospital with head and body injuries, police said.

Van Jumps Curb, Hits 5 Children In New Square

New Square - Five children were injured, some critically, when a van jumped the curb and crashed into them as they stood on a sidewalk Monday afternoon, officials said.

The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Bush Lane in the densely populated Ramapo village. The youngsters, said to be girls ranging in age from 7 to 9, were on the sidewalk.
