Sheep.

--The question of protecting sheep and encouraging their culture has been introduced into the Legislature by Mr. McCue, of Augusta. The supply of wool is much below the wants of the Confederacy, and it is very important that it should be increased as much as possible. Whatever the Legislature can do for this purpose ought to be done.--The subject is one which demands serious consideration. Every citizen who has it in his power to increase his wool crop by saving and taking unusual care of his sheep ought to do so. He will, we are sure, consult his own interest best by doing so; but he owes it as a duty to his country to pursue this policy.
